Finally! you finally got there. I'm glad you liked the Borgata. You need to be there on the weekends. You will never see as many young beautiful women dressed to the nines in one place like what happens there. On another note I want to take you to some concerts to see what real great live music is like. Great video!

It's so cool seeing you at all these places in AC, which are like my "local joints." I was asked recently what my favorite AC casino was, and I went with Borgata. Ocean is probably a nicer facility, but I have stayed at Borgata a lot over the years. There is a lot to do there. Old Homestead is my favorite AC steakhouse (it used to be tied with Nero's, but Caesars sadly did away with Nero's). However, I actually haven't been to Old Homestead since before the renovation. Metropolitan Cafe is my go-to breakfast spot. Wine Bar is an underrated spot in that food court. I have had dinner there a few times. The rooms are a bit more worn these days, but they're still pretty enjoyable. The indoor pool in the main Borgata tower is good, but the one in the MGM Tower (or the Water Tower, as it was originally known) is really upscale. The casino chips at Borgata even feel great. Very smooth. Okay, that's enough, haha.

Mohegan is a very solid casino for the New England area. It is classy, has a great layout and diversity in dinning- but it is nothing truly unique in my opinion. Vegas has EVERYTHING for everybody. On a side note - I do like the idea of James visiting Resort Casinos around the USA -like this AC series. However, Vegas is always #1 by a mile for any/all casinos in the world@@ChuckyGold

I agree with you on all points. A very well assessed review. I will add that I get free room at the Bellagio, Aria and all MGM properties in Vegas, but not the Borgata. I find that interesting.

Good to see a review of Atlantic city. I play at Ocean, Borgata and Hard Rock. I used to play in Vegas but have pushed out of there because of the costs. I get that people compare Atlantic city to vegas. If i was rich i would go to vegas but i am not so i can drive to Atlantic city. It is much cheaper to get gambling in at Atlantic city where i can find $10 min black jack tables during the week and $15 min on the weekends. The costs in Vegas are out of control and at least Atlantic city has 3 to 2 blackjack and many places in vegas have 6 to 5 blackjack which is way worse.

That indoor pool with a view, must be sweet in the winter!

Howdy James! Looking hot in that smoking jacket in intro! The style and decor of the hotel is warm and fun! Gawd that crab cocktail looked outrageously good! Caffeine and pastry & sugar mornings are well stocked. Classiest indoor pool I’ve ever seen, honestly. Very regal. How far walking distance is the beach? all the cocktails looked fantastic. Looks like a well-rounded experience. All the best to you! 🎉

Excellent review James! I know I have been pushing the whole "cruise" thing but perhaps you could do some Indian Casinos if you don't want to do down that path. We go to Winstar in Ardmore, OK and I truly think it will exceed your expectations! Keep after it buddy, we always enjoy your videos!

We love the Borgata, our go to for many years.

Great video. That being said, they just redid an entire tower across the street from the casino. It’s called MGM Tower and looks pretty nice!

The fiore suite is real nice. If you have free rooms, they’ll upgrade you.

I absolutely love the Borgata we've been there many times and it does not disappoint.

James, I absolutely love your content & insight. You do Vegas and Atlantic City exactly how I do it. Totally off topic but your button down shirts & tshirts, I HAVE to ask where you get them? The button downs look like Robert Graham but I can’t find them! Give me the insight!

On your final thoughts: I live in the area and worked in the casinos for 20+ years. AC is basically a weekend resort in the off season between Sept and May. Everything is open on weekends but limited through the week. Most casinos scale down around 2 am every day. They will raise limits to chase players away if they need to. At times they will just announce that the game is closing in x amount of hands. It's a money saving move to save on employee payroll and benefits. Borgota was the catalyst that created some changes in the business practices but there is a long way to go

MGM Tower rooms were all just renovated. Very very nice. B Prime use to be Bobby Flays steakhouse. B Prime is a Borgata restaurant. Too loud and service and food is average. Olde Homestead is A+++

And it was even nicer when it opened. It smelled amazing and the rooms were more posh.

Borgata is my go to in AC.

Best so far. The food! The daiquiri slushy machines! ❤ Room is ok, a little regular maintenance would go a long way. On to the next place, mush!

Since MGM took over borgata it has gone downhill, the restaurant’s used to be amazing but they have since replaced most of them with the exception of old homestead with their own and the quality is lackluster. You did however make a couple mistakes, #1 you did not stay at MGM tower, rooms are much better quality and more recently updated (the pool is also much nicer and is 21+). #2 you didn’t get the Gotham Rib steak at old homestead (even if you’re not a prime rib fan you will love this steak). Being away from the boardwalk is actually a + It’s becoming very sketchy there now and most things are closing (such as the pier mall which only has a few shops still open).

Definitely the best place in Atlantic City.

Trop on the Boardwalk with more bars more casual amd better night life kills Borgata boring rich folk and gamblers any day

Also: even being a vegan, it honestly brought a smile to my face seeing you have a fabulous experience at the Atlantic City Old Homestead especially after having an unfavorable one at Caesars Palace. 😊 Don't get me wrong, I always respect how authentic you are...............but it is honestly heartbreaking when I've seen you initially get elated over a particular place, but then the afterglow wears off later on like we saw at Hash House A Go-Go. So it makes it all the more endearing when the complete opposite happens especially when you least expect it. 🥰 Who knows: maybe you'll FINALLY have a fabulous Nobu experience soon enough, or even fall back in love with STK, hahahahaha! 😉😇

I stayed at the Borgata in Atlantic City because of this video. I tried calling the hotel before booking, they would not answer. The hotel is as far as you can get from the beaches and boardwalk. I never had any interaction with any staff, checked in with phone. The casino was underwhelming. Tried to research pool but no one would answer phone. I had dinner at the casino, almost as good as Applebee's. To be fair I just came from show on boardwalk and it was the only nice restaurant I could find there. Maybe the have better?

Nice video. Thank you! Your score of 5/6 seems justifiable from your discussion. But can you please, quantify your use of the word "average" when reviewing. The room is average...what standard are you judging from? From hotels in casinos? From its competition within Atlantic City? Compared to any place you've slept in? You see my point. Is Angeline just average restaurant against everything in A.C.? Or is it just average among the vast choices at the Borgata? Yes, to me Angeline is should be ranked as you did within the restaurants at the Borgata, but its certainly not true when compared among A.C. restaurants in general. You see my point? Look forward to your future reviews.

Caesars used to be terrible but after their recent renovation it's actually very nice now. I think it's the Gordon Ramsey effect.

No Atlantic city casino hotel checks. I think they may say you are limited to one case of 24 beer at hard rock. I don't remember any other place having a sign
