Some men as well as women just aren't interested in another marriage or long term relationship after one or more (especially to someone they felt really close to) either didn't work out or otherwise ended prematurely. This is just how both my mom (after her divorce from her husband whom she remained friends with) and aunt (after her husband's death in his early 50's) felt. I've never married but after loosing the love of my life to another (largely my fault, -I acted very immature and cowardly at least one too many times), and loosing the one other I was even somewhat truly in love with to early death, and then loosing my parents and my other best friend to suicide, I'm not so sure anymore. I am attracted to and have loved many women people but relationships are another matter. And when I found out recently that the one I loved most appears to have seperated from her husband (he moved to a different city and she returned to her maiden name) at first I was excited wanting to reconnect but then I felt really sad, -it's often such a very hard time and I really loved her as a person and I don't want her to suffer. I used to have ESP and prophetic dreams with her and recently I really thought I could just feel her pain, woke up and had to start praying for her. Yes, I am open to her again but only if that would be best (I don't truly know at presant). I don't even know if we can communicate again or not but I believe it's posible and I hope so. Maybe we will get married. Or maybe I will marry someone else. But maybe not either. I don't know yet but I am no longer passive and lost as I once was. But I do NOT and will not allow common memes and ideas about this issue to control me, -I'm not asking for advice and am reluctant to speak of my situation as a result. It's probably better that I do so as little as posible in fact because what I do know is that for me, what happens is important and not for others to decide based on "norms". For now, I'm just working on myself and relating to others strictly platonically, not open to a relationship untill when/if I perceive that God gives a sign to me, strong vidence, or the clear okay to move forward. But I am looking for that sign and paying attention to the more subtle signs and any evidence as well, including in my dreams as I try to move forward in life. I see Lyndsay Graham partly as a warning of what not to do. I'm in my 40's now and actually really want to have a family before I turn 50 and am now actively working towards this goal, again knowing that the future is always uncertain.
