Papeda you eat without silverware, you slurp it up. You pour the sauce over the papeda, if you eat it separately it's too sticky and dry. Also how did you make the papeda? Originally we make papeda (the goo stuff) from the local sagu tree, ground up and hot water. But in the west migrated Moluccan people use a potato starch substitute because sagu is only local to Maluku. Also interesting that one guy seemed to think the papeda (goo stuff) was like a side. That is the papeda.
