Picked 2. One thing with relationships is that you're going to fight. You're going to have disagreements. No one is absolutely 100% flawless. While people strive for unconditional love when commitment becomes solidified then there comes compromise, sacrifice, and even conditions. A big reason why people experience immaturity or dysfunction is the lack of proper examples/role models and/or a lack of experience. Especially given the amount of research with supported evidence showing that a lot of illness and diseases stem from the suppression of the self as well as over-extension of the self. There's a lot of relationship views that are quite controversial. It's more dependent on the specifics and not the general dogma people think they know after they "learned their lesson" and were "immature" beforehand when in actuality you're just as immature entering a new pov you've just come to realize. I'm saying that because I'm having a lot of problems accepting a good portion of this woke concept that overall doesn't hold up and is subject to personal opinion and experience. There are situations where, yes certain reactions aren't called for, yes overall others are not responsible, yet there still has to be acknowledgement as to what it takes to succeed as a couple. Part of it is when you become an item, especially when something as serious as marriage is involved, then yes to an extent you do become responsible for each other. Emotions and all. So the idea that the other isn't can be false. When an action is created there is usually a reaction. We can choose how we react, but if the body doesn't agree then something is amiss, and shouldn't be ignored. The other reason why I'm saying this is nearly 50% of relationships end in divorce in an era that claims to accept a more open-minded perspective away from "toxic traditional traits" the reality shows a lot of relationships proven to stay together long term are the ones following those "old outdated" perspectives. I can agree to some level as no person deserves to be treated poorly or abused, but overall, I think that perspective ought to be considered more carefully given the vast amount of cultural differences there are. That is all, of course, my own opinion, so might not mean much to others, but that's just fine cause it's for the ones that vibe with those concepts. Going to the reading, it's another reason why I stated this because the person I had in mind is extremely immature if they're avoidant of a relationship because they're afraid of confrontation. They are inevitable. Every great couple out there has both ups and downs, and the downs are worth weathering through because the ups are too good to do without. If you only get to experience this lifetime you are in now once, then fear isn't worth the energy over all the spats, giggles, and old fart jokes to be had in a life worth building together. Pile 3 - I needed your point of view, thank you. I didn't have ressentment for a long time until recently when one of my friend told me that I was clearly the one making all the efforts. I knew it but hearing it from someone else somehow made me feel bad. And because of this, I ended feeling ressentment towards this person (not my friend) the more I thought about it. I will never hate him because I sincerely love him, but now I just want him to feel the pain I feel. Pile 2 - Yes avoidant attachment! Yes self-fulfilling prophecy. Yes inability to trust. So muh overthinking and what-iffing. The red flag was early on on one of our first dates I brought him something silly that I had made and he said suddenly "Don't be too nice to me. When people get involved with other people, everyone ends up getting hurt." I thought I could be the one who proved to him that relationships can be healthy and fun and that even an end doesn't have to hurt or be a big mess. That with communication and respect we could just give it a shot, and whatever happens, it will begin and end with love and empathy. Well....that sounds great on paper, but it only works if you have two healthy sane people in the relationship, who both have compassion and open heart and throat chakras. And the WILL to do the work. One person can't take the full burden of the health of a relationship all on their own back. He acted willing to try but he didn't try. My honest, innocent vulnerable ability to love openly blew his damn mind. Sadly, he pressed the shiny red nuclear button and destroyed everything spectacularly and very suddenly, with cheating, shutting down, going no-contact, then contact saying can we still be friends, then no contact again....getting involved suddenly with some other girl who is just as codependent and weird as him, and getting in deep really fast with her. Out of the blue, like a massive bomb drop, instead of communicating, risking, being honest, being kind. He ruined even a chance at remaining friends. Forget ending things respectfully. How about just leave everyone feeling like shit?? And now I feel like he infected me with his virus. I feel unable to trust, to love, to care, to be vulnerable now. My heart is crushed and raw.
