If am a product of my thinking 🤔 as the GOSPEL should bring a renewal of the mind. So I should change my thinking. Behavior (habit) vs MINDSET, hypothetically if I am good behavior but my mindset doesn't recognize Christ am in error, however, if I am of immoral behavior & experience a change of mindset, I will recognize my sin and acknowledge that I need the gift of salvation through Christ. Behavior, is unlikely to change immediately but in Christ I will overcome through Christ who empowers, that I will receive the gift of eternal life.

I thought I knew repentance but thanks to God for seeing this sermon. I have received new insight on repentance and my thinking has changed. I have repented. Thank You Lord Jesus. This message was for me.

Change begins in the mind, yes. But What’s the sense of changing your mind if you don’t change your behavior? Faith without works is dead! Therefore changing your mind without changing your behavior is dead also. Which means we cannot define repentance as simply a change of mind only. READ MATTHEW: 3:8

Repentance is a seed which comes from the swallowed word of God, when you hear the word it slowly starts to cultivate your heart to prepare it for seed of repentance to be planted in-between that word as the word fights to convert you. Now as you strive to convince your as God remainings patient for as long as you go there the seed of repentance comes. The seed will be watered by the word till it shoots up and it must bear the fruit of that nature. Here is where we miss,this tree has different fruit but it's a one tree,these fruit are; no bitterness,no grudges,no envey,no pride etc. you have ebe faithful, obedient,very understanding, just to mention a few. And in this endurance is brought up for God to prove you as righteous. God do process His word in as so that repentance can bring the kingdom of God in our hearts. Because God endures with us for along time to bring us to our knees to obey God and minus the fruit of repentance mmmm

There is a spirit of repentance that comes in the believer when true repentance is about to takes place . That experience is between the believer and God only

The word of God is not so difficult to understand. Repentance is Repentance. Let people repent from their sins thats what God wants. It simply means turning away from sin to righteousness while you guve your life to christ. We dont need greek and hebrew to understand a simple instruction

When it comes to salvation it is the work of holy spirit is God cleanse or take away our weaknesses. @@joeaba5054 you're right if you believe that repentance means changing in lifestyle and attitude, but the change that comes with God's own type of repentance goes beyond human understanding,NOT YOU CHANGING YOUR ILL LIFESTYLE, RATHER GOD CHANGING YOU AND TAKING THOSE THINGS AWAY FROM YOU.that why repentance is not you choosing to change, rather pleading to God to change you and take those things away. If you decide and keep away from ill lifestyle without God doing it by himself, that what called self righteousness.

Repentance is to accept your state of live;is to agree that you are a dinner and want God to forgive you and wash away sin in your by the blood of Jesus, now if you accept that you are a sinner and you asked God to forgive you and wash away your sins will you still have the intension to go back and do the same thing?Romans 6:1,says God forbid!so repentance is to accept that you are a sinner and ready to change from your sins.

In all sincerity, i 'm so surprised how what is cleary stated in majority of renowned bible commentaries like Dakes & Matthew Henry, What was preached by great men of God used tremendously by God like Martin Luther King, Charles Finney, John Wesley, Charlse Spurgeon, Billy Graham, Reinhard Bonke and current and true ministers like Kumuyi, Gbile Akanni etc has become false because Damina came one day saying it is false. It's like Paul writing "O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth,"-Gal 3:1 "I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel"-Gal1:6. You need to repent for your good dearly beloved.

Repentance must lead to a change of behaviour and, not only a change of mind. This is why in Matthew 3:8 John the Baptist said to those who came for baptism: "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance."

What you will hear Dr. say is that John the Baptist do not know much...let those that think they know continue in it.

Pastor repentance is to turn away from ur sins.Rm 3:23 All have sined and come short of the glory of God.When one receives Jesus as the saviour, former sins must be denounced and there must be a turning away from former sinful ways to receive salvation , that is forgiveness of sins.Pastor u are a confussionist.I pity ur followers, iu say repentance is only change of thinking,what about actions and attitudes.Go to Gal. 5:19_21 to see the sin u must repent from.

Dr Abel, you are very eloquent but you need the Holy Spirit to enlighten you more about the things of the Kingdom.Repentance is to acknowledged that you are a sinner who needs a saviour,and that saviour is Jesus,and when our Lord saves you He also breaks the power of sin in your life.Jesus can not live in you and you go about sleeping women and smoking and practicing sin.Ananias and the wife Sapphira,lied in the church and failed down and died immediately. We need to be careful of what we preach and teach.

You have heard but cannot understand. God requires NOTHING from a man. If it is as you say, that means God cannot give salvation without us doing something. And that would mean that Grace is not free

The scriptures you're quoting says something different from the falsehood you're dishing out to the public. Repentance must be followed by a positive change of behavior. Anything on the contrary is of the devil. You're winning souls for the kingdom of darkness by your false teachings

This man is a great deceiver, a Baar-Jesus of our time. Who believes he knows it all. And have set out himself to correct every scriptures. You don't need anyone to explain to you what repentance mean. True Repentance is a change of heart; and a change of heart that doesn't gives birth to a change of ways, is not a genuine repentance. It is the Holy Spirit that empowers us to change our ways, after our hearts have heard and believed the word of God.
