I have early access and I play/main scorpion and he's probably C tier on his own. He's mainly an "on reaction character" but you can't beat him on stalling and him coming to you like MK11 because he has 3 range options on his own. Pair him with a kameo that has great 50/50 or setup options and he jumps to A+ tier plus his damage output is really good

Scorpion has this ultra lame chip set up going with Cyrax that takes 9% on block and builds almost a full bar. That alone is making him good.

@@Arctic-mous3true but it’s not the same. The difference is he doesn’t rip is arm off and use it for a weapon for his back or forward strings like most characters do. His morning star strings would have more reach and would play safer mid range.

Man hit almost 350 dmg just from her blade throw pretty much each round. Pretty much the only thing that saved him from havic

@@keepitretrox havik's mid is very slow and outside of strike throw he dosent have many ways to open people up, he NEEDS a kameo to extend kombos or make himself safe

I feel like geras snap would be really good against Havik since his projectiles have such long wind up time

Idk why people are saying Havik is bad. He has the most + frames on block out of any character because of his string gaps. You can cover your gaps getting armored by using his slow arm(or) swing move. It has armor w/o meter and its a super high damage single hit that Cyrax can pick up from. This alone makes contesting his gaps a very risky play because the risk/reward is in Havik's favor. Also, as long as Havik is careful on wakeup after b,f+2 MB, he can cancel everything into the unblockable follow-up and it's fast enough to cover all of his gaps. He just has to get you to block anything and youre getting relaunched. His b22 is a super long range, mid string with no gap that leads into a true cmd grab. The other option is a low that can be kameo launched from. The low and the cmd grab are unfuzzyable as they both startup in 19 frames. Block the low? It's only -5. His projectiles are super good for covering approach or setting up kameo gimmicks. Very well designed character that will only become better with time.

You can use a kameo to cover the gap and you can connect the arm smack. If you do that, it leads into a ~32% kombo meterless.

He can. You have to use an ambush to bridge the gap. With Cyrax do 22R1(hold) then do the launcher immediately afterwards and it connects. With Kano it's harder to do but more damage. You can also put the Kameo in the middle like 2R12 db1 instead

Tweedy! If you hit a raw b12 into exbf3, they land close enough for the clone to hit. So once I freeze time I do 212 or 122 with the clone and then f44 with geras and it's a hard to block and you get a pop up

Nice geras have you tried panning his air strings that land with different slams

@@Eskimofo13 I’m sure it’s easier said than done. I’ve seen top players just get melted by him. Probably due to lack of knowledge on the character so they freeze up a bit. Most people keep trading projectiles with me as Havik without even knowing I’m out damaging them. I’m sure people will learn with time and send that ugly mf bad to wherever he came.

havik has some of the highest damage, he can do 50% without kameo, his rope is strong.

@@scarlat1960 his real damage comes from neck break setups which aren't guaranteed unless you use cyrax kameo setup and the scaling makes it max at around 50-55% with 2 bars which many character do with 1 bar and kameo, and considering his mid it pretty slow unless you zone a decent amount your main choice is strike throw

So far, most alt skins are SO much better than their default

I’ve yet to purchase a ps5 and mk 1 , what are your guys thoughts on the game ? Compared to mk11 and X ? , haven’t really seen anyone give a review recently (pro players ) not the regular youtubers fans but the ones that actually play the game competitively like tweedy ,ninja killa,rewind . I’ve been checking out a lot of videos on the play thru etc.. how is it in terms of combos?play pace? Is it worth it ?

X has the best gameplay. 11 gas hood graphics but gameplay is slow sluggish and boring/not fun, 1 is pretty good but no run button so gameplay is a bit different then

He can do better damage. He gets about 35% with Cyrax if he uses a bar. But most Haviks want to have two bars for the Unblockable set up. With Kano he gets about 40% for one bar and a Kameo

I've been playing Havik mostly cause hes real weird but im having fun. Need to try Cyrax ive been using kameo Sub Zero

Frost is probably better for him because you get access to her low, cyrax is good for combos and chip but imo frost is the best choice

Probably going to buy mk1 just for Havik.

Havik's game plan is way too straightforward for a guy whose fighting style is "rip my own face off sometimes." I was hoping his strat would be way more confusing, but instead he's like a basic grounded damage dealer.

That geras time stop combo already got annoying as hell, and that's just looking at it, I can't imagine what fighting one must feel like 🤣
