Honestly when I saw the gameplay reveal those few months ago, I was super skeptical of how it MK1 was gonna be. But between you, Diff and Rips Arena; I am very pleasantly surprised with how well it turned out and how smooth the gameplay looks.

I still feel the same way. I'm terrified I'll buy PS5 & MK One and end up getting the first 3 patches rolled out neutering characters combo ability and strong tech. Every other game put a sour taste in my mouth. Cyrax/Kenshi main on X and Sub/Mileena main on 11 and my characters got watered down and decapitated. 11 felt like everyone was 1/3 of what they was after patches. They better not do this on Mortal Kombat 1. I'm excited about using Smoke, Kenshi, Sub Zero, Shang Tsung and maybe Mileena or someone else.

Strongly recommend playing as him for a couple of hours and get familiar with his moves. Smoke is my 2nd pick after Mileena and I never really have trouble against smoke players since I know his toolset. Now of course a good player can kick your ass but it evens the ground.

My all time personal best combo was a 46% combo with Liu Kang. Haven't even tried online yet tho, I've been grinding the story, towers and practice

I like it when good players admit they have come across another good player. Top class that's a sub from me!

I really think you should give motaro a chance on geras. You sacrifice damage output for placement/util. So many people play serina and if you’re far you can throw out his projectile shield and start stacking your hour glass or you can just tele behind them, it’s quicker than Kung Lao’s TP.

Smoke is unbelievably quick…and I guess it’s a feature now, idk, but when he goes invisible, it just adds another level of complexity to his already powerful fighting style. People say Reptile is annoying, but between the best Reptile and the best Smoke that I’ve played, Smoke is unmatched by miles. The teleport from the sky into the ground up to your feet into a combo that kills half your meter is crazy. He’s super cool though.

Love mortal combat this one looks really dope. The last one I played was on my ps4 mortal combat xl. Love the video :)

Awesome set. Yardier has been on Destroyer streams wrecking shop in MKX. If a lot of the modern MKX players like Moonbreathing or Zilla make the transition, they are going to be a problem.

Yardier using Smoke in MK1 reminds me of RealKilluh's Cyber Sub-Zero, real flashy combos. And yeah you right, if the MKX players make the transition to MK1 they will be a problem, they have the mindset just for not been playing MK11

@@strokerrebirth2628yes but MKX players are very familiar with 50/50 and fast pace while mk11 players have no patience when it comes to that tempo that’s why people hated Sub in 11 and why X players loved him in 11 he played like we wanted him too.

Just discovered you yesterday and have been binge watching your stuff on MK1. I’m sort of a new player & it would be really helpful if you’d make a tutorial someday on how to play the game properly. For people who are struggling against smoke his low kick into his overhead can easily be upblocked on reaction for a full punish it took me 5 minutes to lab it in practice and I haven't lost against one since

Damn Yardlier is a bad ass with Smoke! Seems he just needs a little improvement with the Cameo Character and his training to the Dark Side will be complete! You can give Tweety this much of a battle you sure have to know your stuff. - Wish I could pull a 400 plus hit combo. I am just breaking over 300 which is cool. I still need to figure out the schematics of the game a lot better. Everything takes time.

Played against Yardier on the second day of MK1 early access. I was shocked by how good he was with Smoke and the cancels so early. Now I learned that he’s won Tournaments and shit, so I can stop feeling bad now😂

dude his cancels are so clean he can get it every time that shits so hard to do i’m on day 3 with smoke and still can’t get it consistently

And i thought i was getting good with smoke... but the fact that even he isn't able to do the cancel online every single time is proof that the timing is either too strict or just too difficult in general. If it was just the back button instead of back r2 would probably be more reliable

@@NooDLES411911 trust you can learn it bro I was struggling too the trick is to cancel as soon as u see a smoke particle u most likely do it too soon and then remember most people do forward 1 2 which doesn’t like fully connect u they can jab u after try do his 113 string I think and u can do kameo after make it safe best is Cyrax and if they block u continue if they don’t u get a combo off Cyrax by jumping in

he crouched a lot after each poke you blocked. quick little overhead and it would've lead to huge damage. But it is easier to see the patterns of the enemy when you're watching instead of playing. Both of you guys are really good!

I don’t think gears has a quick overhead besides his like thing that doesn’t lead to any combos

smoke hits so hard for so little on top of having insane mixups, he is busted for sure

Honestly it seems like everyone is pretty good at the game because they made every character so accessible now.

@@lBadSport I like using frost for her low freeze and the ice bomb for pressure. The punch walk also helps for just chipping them out when they’re low and keeping the pressure.

@@shafin6089 frost is really bad as a kameo. her freeze makes the combos scale badly, bombs are easy to escape and have no pressure and the punch walk you can duck and punish💀

@@lBadSport I was theorizing that Serena synergizes with Smoke pretty well since _because_ he’s so pressure and combo heavy, her meter drain assist allows for that on going pressure instead of easy breakouts and reseting to neutral. I wanna test out Sektor too tho

hey tweedy idk if you’ll see this buh i’m a smoke main myself and one thing to counter smoke on his f32 string is to block the low and then upblock the overhead into a punish

I am sure they will balance smoke in the future balance patch ... that's why I don't main good characters when a game is released... best to use a low tier character in the beginning

Smoke in this game is probably going to create a bunch of crybabies and get him nerfed. “U ONLY PICK SMOKE SO U CAN TELEPORT” I had a Sheeva player in MK11 accuse me of only playing Scorpion because of the teleport, and yet all he tried to do to me the entire match was teleport stomp me lol

@omar-pg3onhe doesn’t need skill sorry to break it to you, most of his move sets lead’s straight to a kombo the teleport he has makes it even more difficult to fight. He is a cheese character and so is baraka.
