Proud to play a part in the UAS4STEM competitions. The mentors are rock-stars, and the youth who participate in the program learn so many valuable life lessons, some of which have to do with drones! It's a great opportunity and I'm proud of the participants.
Are there really kids left who want to build things and be outdoors? That's a positive thing
Civil Air Patrol is limiting this program to Seniors. They are not using it for search and rescue or mapping unmapped areas like reservations because of seniors.

I've seen a LOT of Civil Air Patrol teams compete in this program. In the 2023 season for instance, CAP units secured the entire podium in the beginner division!
