I've been a fan of Voiceplay since 2019, but didn't get into reactor videos for it till like last month. I was watching a compilation video of "people reacting to Geoff's ridiculous bass notes", saw you in it, and I was like "oh this guy seems freaking rad, I gotta check him out." That you're also neurodivergent and queer and get as excited as I do was a massive huge bonus! This video didn't even feel like 47 minutes, so props to holding my attention that long, and kudos to Mason as well!

Never regard a song that touches your heart as "For Good" as a sign of weakness. It's probably the greatest honor when music or any art for touches your heart/ soul. That transcendence is the whole reason art even exists as a part of the human experience.

The music touches your soul, and you’re tender hearted, don’t apologize the world needs more of this. You are one of five reactor channels I keep coming back to, the others are more technical. I can’t resist your joy, connection with the music, and you have valuable musical insights even if you don’t know the musical terms.

The , and . keys are the default hotkeys for jumping forward and backward one frame at a time if you’re chasing that green flash. I think this is still my favorite of Geoff’s arrangements (for VP) there’s just so many layers. I understand why it took him years to re/arrange to his satisfaction and you can tell it’s a labor of love.

It took Geoff seven years to get this arrangement to where he was willing to release it into the wild, so I'm not surprised it took you two years to come back and do this deep dive. 3:40 and betting you cry.

I admit that when you show your human side like you did here is when I like you the most 🙂. And yes, these guys are a wonder, in many many ways. Even for who, like me, isn't a Patreon of theirs (I'd love to, but can't. Yet). Beside the musical skills, to me it's their "human" side that makes them who they are (duh!...), and their human side is wonderful. Thank you for pointing it out and share your emotions like you did. See you next time. 🙂

I have to disagree, sir. YOU honor US with your open and honest reactions! Adding in the analysis allows us to appreciate and enjoy the music more. You keep being you and don't worry about "changing things up" for the analytics. We are here because you ARE you! I have enjoyed every moment of being a patreon member of your channel. My only regret is that it was not from day 1. Thank you for all you have done for us these last 2 1/2 years, and thank you in advance for all the enjoyment and entertainment yet to come! And I think Mason needs more videos like this to keep him in top form (thank you as well, Mason!)

I wasn't here for the first reaction (though I have seen it) because that was before I found VoicePlay but I am so glad that you revisited this one. This is also in my top 5 VoicePlay covers because it is just a masterpiece, Geoff really did such an outstanding job with the arrangement. Though I wasn’t here for the first time, I am so glad I found your channel. I think that you were the first reaction channel I subscribed to that reacted to VoicePlay which is so special to me. I am so glad that I have gotten to know you a bit through your videos and by talking to you a bit in your Discord and the VP Discord. You are truly such an amazing person and have such an amazing personality. Though I haven't commented on your videos that much recently, I still try to watch them when you release them. You have impacted me in such a positive way. And I can say that because I knew you I have been changed for good❤ Thank you so much for the amazing revisit to this song and just for being you❤

3:39 - Even without the thumbnail and intro, we KNOW you're gonna cry again. The real question is, how long before you start dancing in your chair or absolutely losing it. 14:01 - Ah, there we are. Chair dancing in the most perfect place. You were one of the first reactors I ever followed. I had just watched a VoicePlay video, and the almighty algorithm recommended this guy in pink with the most awesome tie skills ever. I wasn't really into reactors, although I enjoyed Charismatic Voice and Peter Barber. Still, how could I NOT click! And to my great enjoyment, you really did touch on vocal techniques and composition, so yep... that's an instant Subscribe from me. I can only imagine the adventure its been for you, going from hoping your video gets some views to actually befriending the musicians you react to. You're part of the reason why I decided to get back into singing after 20 years as just an instrumentalist, and now a friend and I (we're both contraltos) are planning to join a choir in Portland. How fun! Lots of love from a neighbor of yours in Oregon.

This is really awesome, the singing is SO amazing. Rachel Potter, Rock Goddess is giving Rock God Eli a run for his money! I haven't seen the musical, but I read "Wicked" back in college or thereabouts. The only tiny problem I have with this medley, is someone got a bit sloppy in cutting the music into individual songs-on Spotify some of the endings or beginnings cut off, and are in the next song. I'm OCD, so it bugs me, as I like to listen to my Voiceplay list on shuffle. But that's nothing against the music itself, just the editing.

Dancing Through Life: I mean, J could pull it off, but honestly? Peter Hollens. Who, as far as I know, has never been featured in a VoicePlay video, or vice versa, so... there's something that needs to happen. (Though the one I really, really want them to feature, is Marwan.) The song I can't hear without crying, is the eponymous title song from the cantata The Day He War My Crown. Gets me *every* single time.

@Mortius If you didn't completely break down during "For Good," this wouldn't be a Mortius Reaction and you wouldn't be you. In fact, I'm going to be bold enough to say that if you ever don't break down during "For Good," then there is something seriously wrong because then you won't be you. The moment that "For Good" doesn't affect you the way it did years ago and the way it does now is the moment that all the people you have met that have made you who you are don't mean anything to you. As long as "For Good" affects you like the way it does now, that means you remember and appreciate your life journey. Never lose that and never be ashamed of allowing music (and other things) to affect you and for sharing that with us. Vulnerability is so taboo in a lot of society and throughout history and that's such BS. Vulnerability is what makes us Human. And those that accept their own vulnerabilities and are willing to put them on full display are the strongest Humans on the planet. I guess what I'm saying is that your vulnerability to "For Good" doesn't make you weak or pathetic. It's your strength because it makes you who you are. And that's why we are here. Not for a Fake Mortius. But for the Real Mortius. I don't know about you, but I don't want to live in a world where Humanity is no longer affected by music and art. Sounds kinda sterile and boring, no?
