Your first mistake is comparing Tool to a typical rock band. They are anything but. They exist outside the norm.

Thats verbatim what I said
The Pot really is probably TOOL's best introductory song for many people so I'm glad you chose it. I expect given time, even Gabe will start to better appreciate Schism and some other TOOL songs. They can be an acquired taste, but so many of their songs really will grow on you with more and more listens. Vicarious would be a great next track to try!

Thanks. The next one is Aenima. It is another personal favorite but we need to do more. So thanks for that request.

@@raulsanches9283 Yeah, that's the beauty of TOOL. Very diverse collection of music which all of us fans will appreciate in different ways. Many of the old school fans weren't too thrilled with the Fear Inoculum album, but I absolutely love it.
Whenever I'm introducing someone to TOOL, I always start with The Pot. This tune has made so many new TOOL fans!
This is my favorite band ever! When they play this song in concert, the crowd goes nuts! The whole crowd sings with them. It's fucken awesome!!! I suggest 46 & 2 & Pushit. They are true artists.
Justin Chancellor! My god, give the man his due.
schism is a song that grew on me , now i love it.
My band for 30 yrs! Love!!
This was the first Tool song what I've heard. Top quality music.
46 and 2 is a good next song for him i think lol
46 and 2 > parabol/parabola. Then he will be ready for L A T E R A L U S
46&2 for next, for sure!!
That baseline is killer!
The Pot is all about hypocrisy, you said “ when you hear this track, you will think about somebody this song will remind you of them” this track clearly reminds me of Kamala Harris 👊🔥🔥🔥

Hypocrisy at its finest....
RAGE. Enough said For TOOL, find the songs that speak to you. Most all the songs mean something different to just about everyone. Both are fun rabbit holes. Rock on 🤘
Tool army has officially accepted your apology but we will have to keep an eye on you. I will subscribe but I want to see more because your expressions are great.

Great reaction! I’ll be back for more TOOL 🤘🌀
Good luck boping your head to any of their songs
He'll love Vicarious
Please do some Rage!
Schism is a way better song than The Pot.... But The Pot is the best song to introduce someone to tool. Vicarious from the same album as The Pot, would be a great next track

My heart droped when he said he didn't like schism 😢
Great fun! Schism is a masterpiece, but so are most Tool songs. Vicarious, Pneuma, Invincible, 46 & 2...... or just album to album?
Best band in human history here, all four men masters of their instruments. Song about hypocrites… “Pissing over my black kettle” “The pot calling the kkettle black”. Why rock is better then Hip Hop, only real musicianship in Hip Hop is lyrics, rock it is all, vocals, guitars, bass guitars and drums.
Dude I love teeth so much, he knows… don’t mean to be unkind… but he knows…I wish I had a smile like that….
I also like *-looks at smudged writing-* Latterus and Pneumonia jk guys, good reaction!
Tool is great. Peace
46 & 2, Aenima, Sober, Stinkfist,Vicarious just to name a few.
Pneuma Danny Carey drum cam is amazing
There's no denying that TOOL are like nothing else. They are extremely original and, like all things with such a strong and particular character, they divide people. Either they love or they hate. It's usually things with a lackluster taste that suit everyone. People who love music are divided into 3 main categories: 1) People who understand TOOL. Once their music sinks into you, it's impossible to find anything that can compare. Some people fall in love with it the first listen and others get there by falling in love little by little. 2) People who don't understand TOOL. Their music is just a mess, it's annoying, it doesn't have any kind of order or sense and it's also overly long and boring. It is useless to torture them with further listening, TOOL will make them more and more disgusting. Unfortunately my wife falls into this category. 3) People who don't find TOOL annoying, actually they sound good but don't really understand what's so great about them, there's much better. These people will all make it into the first category if they get a chance, they just don't know it yet. The taste for TOOL must be matured and requires time and attention. One cannot appreciate something so complex and refined in a hurry. It also applies to a good book, a wine or a rum... You have to sit down and enjoy it slowly and calmly without doing anything else, you have to think only of that without haste to enjoy the experience. After a few times that you listen to a song, maybe you do it with headphones while lying on the bed and here is the magic! One wonders "but had all these things really escaped me until today? How wonderful!". I fell into this category until I fell in love. After accompanying friends to a concert, I never came back the same.

Totally agree. I don't think they grab you intensely from the jump (a couple of their songs do) but.. After about 5 listens, the songs become an engraved part of your soul and being. It's all the uncommon polyrhythm structures they write and produce their music in. As opposed to that 4/4 standard, that everyone immediately bobs their heads to. That's one of the things I love and appreciate about them most though! 🤷🏼♀️ Maybe your wife could appreciate some Perfect Circle? They incorporate more of Maynard's feminity and vulnerable side. Tool is more his masculine aggressive way of expressing himself. I personally love both bands.

Is it too early for TEMPEST? Is he ready?
My favorite band. If you want their best song, lateralus is the one. React please
It begins kinda like a linkin Park song, were LP influenced by Tool (probably a stupid question!). I've never been a fan of Tool but i know they do unconventional music that has a lot of people needing new underwear (if you know what i mean)!! To me this is an average song and i wouldn't care if i never heard it again. I most likely heard it before but don't remember it. I liked Tool - 46 and 2 at first but the more i heard it the less i liked it. It sounds like a Deftones type song to me
Tool. Cricket. What's next on your radar? Rocket science?

Lol. You never know.
While I agree Danny Carey is incredible and takes centre stage at Tool gigs, and Maynard vocals are top notch, don't reduce the band down to just those 2, you say you appreciate the guitars, but they do much more than you think and are excellent musicians. However, I will say if you should react to the Pneuma drum cam video, it's long but worth it.
Probably should have started with that one. More upbeat and accessible. Might have eased him in and made him less critical of Schism. They are very diverse and have stuff that will be abrasive to some and then other jams that are more easily accepted by the masses. But once someone gets a handle on how they operate, I think people can be more accepting of other tracks that they otherwise wouldn’t be. Just an opinion. Keep going. These guys are dope.✌🏼
Why don't you fellas have the lyrics in front of you?
I feel he likes simple beats. Better go for Stinkfist or Ænima next

Or Sober, simple and to the point
As a 30+ year diehard Tool fan, I’ll be among the first to say that they DO NOT HAVE A BAD SONG. However, Schism is my least favorite. Maybe because it got so much radio play when others didn’t? Idk. Either way, The Pot is a good introduction. Aenema is a good one too. Both are easy (easier?) to digest, easier to understand. But people who just want basic, predictable beats with nothing but catchphrases for lyrics… should stick to pop music. If you want an EXPERIENCE from four brilliant, true artists… Tool is the best.
So you like solos huh... Bass solo enjoy 😝
Schism is a Masterpiece just because a dude doesn’t understand music and hears rap music and while hearing other music applies his rap mentality which don’t work. It was not the wrong song it was a song the other dude didn’t like. TOOL is not your typical formulaic music band they use polyrhythms and different time signatures so when rap music fans and Mettalica fans hear TOOL they don’t like the intricate sound TOOL gives us. They whine about how they can’t keep up with the rhythms and can’t head bang to the music.
Dude said he wouldn’t stop the song…Then he proceeded to stop the song…
I feel Schism gets a bad wrap since it doesn’t follow 4/4 or any standard rocks patterns, people can’t bounce their head so instead of listening they get distracted and turned off, it’s understandable but Schism is never a good starter for new Tool listeners.
I think as a first listen those weird music videos Tool makes kinda takes away attention.

Hypocrisy of the War on drugs.
If you only like simple music, Tool may not be for you. Try Country. 😂
Dude on the right is one of those shallow minded characters who need the standard formulaic approach to rock music. Anything advanced or different he will never appreciate the different beats and rhythms some bands make. I grew up on rap and metal but the bands dude in the right mentions tells me is will never get TOOL. And that’s his problem not ours.

Appreciate your comment but I think there’s more to it than that. He is first and foremost looking for songs to work out too. He’s being real and not trying to act like he wants to become the biggest new rock fan. Give him some time to get into this style of music. He will always be honest. In a year from now he will evolve

@@BoringReviews I can respect that but making someone listen to a band we like and during the song they look like they are hearing someone scratching a black board don’t make sense cuz then he starts to criticize .
Tool does not fit into ANY genre. The genre is Tool. They cannot be compared to anyone. If someone is looking for predictable, cookie cutter, verse, chorus, verse music… they in the wrong place.
