Do you have any explanation of how you lit the car scene? Looks great

Would love to see a video on the actual process of transfering video to actual 35 mm film. What would happen if you transfered log footage to a kodak film stock? How would this be done?

I am currently trying to get that "film grain" look with a competing product, but the basic result is similar. For me, though, the result just looks like subtle digital noise. So, the product has some features that are still useful for getting a more "filmic" look, but I am keeping the grain turned off. I just wonder if anyone has similar reactions to the look of the "grain."

I see everyone using Dehancer on Apple Prores 422, and H264. Never on Prores Raw. Why is that, and where can I find Dehancer/Prores Raw worlkflow?

Something weird is happening for me, when I move the play head I can see my Dehancer settings applied, but when I stop moving it the effect almost appears totally dimmed, no more grain, desaturated.. m3 MacBook/premiere/Dehancer pro It is driving me crazy 🥲

Think they key is just to shoot with a sensor that's optimised for film like the alexa. then all of it is way easier to emulate, although film is totally impossible to replicate the highlight roll off, its fun to get it to look a bit like film. Nothing like 16mm In the real though.

what you are thinks about the dehancer lite version...because the pro version is a little bit to expensive for me :(

Are there a ton of stabilisation on those filmic clips? I looked back on some of my older movies shot on the xt-4 and I always used image stab but has since then stopped using it because it looks so unnatural to me. Love the color grade and overall look on those clips. Great video!

Used this plugin in Premiere and damn it was laggy as hell, But in Davinci Resolve it was smooth it was just amazing , I have a r5 5600x 32gb ram rtx 2080ti 11g

@@Kitkai_kitkai No it is not. They let me test it out for free but I was not paid to do a review or say anything good about the plugin. Sure, you might be able to achieve a lot of the effects without Dehancer but it would take a lot longer and there's no one easy way to figure out how to do some of the effects. Dehancer has a ton of built in effects that I really think would be next to impossible to recreate on your own unless you're some type of Davinci specialist. So like I said, good luck trying to achieve everything Dehancer can do without it!

@@Kitkai_kitkai I mean you can but it takes way longer and also the grain isn't the same. On most other plugins the grain just sits on top of your image...with dehancer the image is actually made up of the grain just like film is ! Dehancer also has like 63 film profiles its definitely worth it !

@@AlexPerri When you say "They let me test it out for free", does that mean that you only had the plugin for a certain amount of time before it deactivated? If they actually gave you the plugin to KEEP, then you have been paid $449 in software. If this is the case, if you got the plugin for free to keep, this is a paid review!

Why in gods name is it subscription based.

SIBILANCE!!! bad video, we can live with.. but bad audio is unforgiveable. Turn down your treble boost and add a de-esser. Your voiceover sounds awful.
