@@jarekcarethers3461 Style wise, it's a copycat of the Rivian design inside and out, including the rims, the rear diffuser, and the dash: even the door handles are identical. Some elements are from other vehicles, such the copycat volume button from the Lucid. Most probably from the same team that made the Ionic 6, a dysfunctional copycat of the Porsche. It is a shame that some brands can't be authentic and resort to do copycat design.

Kia and Hyundai's EVs, both are looking so unique. It's even so amazing that both manufactures have own distinctive way to make their products looking unique.
Finally a company with the b@lls to build something not only close to the concept version but better! I absolutely love this vehicle. Consumers have been waiting (and waiting and waiting) for a car company to build and produce something that breaks boundaries and isn’t some slightly altered new version of it’s predecessor and this vehicle definitely brings it. Thanks Kia! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
There's a few tweaks from the concept version, and I feel this looks even better! That's definitely a rarity in the automotive world.
The design of the wheels matches the overall shape of the EV9.

Yep, and his rims changes just transforms it to an Escalade immediately😅
It's one of those rare cars that looks better than the concept. The roof is lowered in the production version which helps the car visually look longer and planted
I have a feeling that the Hyundai Ioniq 7 will look insane.
@arhamkhakwani5851
Жыл бұрын
It will look insane, for sure. But before it even comes out, I think I would still prefer the EV9 over the Ioniq 7 SUV or whatever they plan on calling it lol. Between Hyundai and Kia designs, I tend to prefer the Kia designs because they seem more traditional to me, while Hyundai is too bold and a bit funky in design.

This looks fantastic. I’m looking forward to seeing pricing and specs.
This is going to be on back order in the US for at least a year do to high demand. That on top of the insane dealer mark ups. This will be a luxury vehicle and may be out of reach for people who normally could afford MSRP.
One caveat. The Tiger Nose design element is the body colored secton between the upper and lower slim grill openings. Notice it gets bigger at both ends which follows the regular grill designs.
The starlight pattern is on the production model too. It projects out a grille in front of the car just like the concept.
Believe it or not, Cybertruck is in trouble because of EV9
I think it looks good. It kinda looks like a Land Rover mixed with a Cadillac. I think the DRLs would look better if it had a varying thickness but a great overall design

The dotted headlight is also in the production in the tigernose. If you check the teaser it shows
Another Korean home run.
I have a feeling that other brands have 60yrs old designers. Well done Kia & Hyundai.
Kia just showed the EV5 concept in China. Looks like a baby EV9 but in some ways better looking. I look forward to you making a video on this EV5
This is absolutely stunning ! But I didn't see on the official images the small LEDs behing the front "grill" as we saw on the trailer ! It seems totally invisible by day, and this is also very cool !
Nice video man.
this will definitely compliment my EV6. I already sold my Telluride with a nice extra equity, I'll save up for EV9. Definitely a better family road tripper and for camping/towing things.

Uh the towing figures (leaked ones?) are not very good. Our passat B8 was not a high end car and tows about as much as the highest end EV9. It's supposedly even being delivered with NO towing in some trims which is crazy for such a big car.

Nice looking vehicle 😃
Can't believe this is not a concept but production version!!
The star lights next to main lights are coming it will be unveiled in the full production version, its one of the best conversions of concept to production
The center console should extend and join the dashboard to give that cockpit feel to the driver. That will make the interior more sporty. The Center console not joining the dasboard gives minivan interior vibe. EXTERIOR LOOKS brilliant.

Can you analyze the Fisker Pear prototype they were driving around?
I love how with the production model they lowered tge roof a bit, tilted the windshield, and extended the rear side window further back!
EV9 GT is what I’m waiting for,
Can you also compare this design to the new Chevy Blazer EV? Or any other EVs SUVs. This is one hell of a design!!!!! ❤️
That silver rear bumper piece looks like those add ons (we don't have in Europe) you see on cars like the Chiron to meet US regulations.
When it's all the way unveiled, can you compare this design to the Rivivan RS1? Or to the Telluride? I like the EV9 design better than the Telluride and Rivivan R1S (Or RS1).
@mrsoisauce9017

It’s the R1S. Rivian has 2 vehicles in their lineup, which is really just 2 versions of the same car, but still: R1S, and R1T. They share a common design language (they’re pretty much the same vehicle underneath the body). The R1S is just the SUV version, and the R1T is the pickup version

Awesome review...agree, the production version looks better than the concept. How crazy is that?
I didn't think it would actually have that much of an effect on what is already a very premium and very good looking SUV but I stand corrected! I thought swapping the wheels might improve the aesthetics but not by that much. I would probably go for an inch or so less than what you sampled but concave is a good style for the EV9. I have signed up for a test drive and if all goes well, I am going to order a GT Line S trim and then swap it in 2025 for the GT model when it comes out. I will also swap the wheels out straight away. :D Cool channel brother. A different and interesting take on car reviewing.
This will be built at the West Point Kia Plant in Georgia along side the Telluride.
This is further confirms that's stellantis went too soft on the ram EV. If everybody else can go from concept to production looking like the concept there is no excuse for them
@Bembli 🔹The Lexus RZ & CANOO Bus have that futuristic steering wheel. 🔹Drive-by-Wire with variable 4-to-1 & 6-to-1 steering ratio 🔹Depending on speed, and dynamic engineering with safety features of course…this will make driving easier, and save on EV range at the same time 🔹Won’t be an option immediately, but definitely not far off in the future. 🙌🔥
My jaw instantly dropped 😎👍👍👍👍
The dealership already licking their lips and rubbing their hands, with their price mark ups on this bad boy.
I think the pixel LED next to the headlight will be on the production model, just wasn’t on the prototype production vehicle (white)
I love the front end of the concept, the tail end of the production. And especially the interrior of the production version!!!! It's on point and look like a car. The concept interrior look quite boring to drive, just for family gossiping i think 🤣
... on another note, those (on the silver rendition) look like the first gen Mini Cooper GP (after the BMW acquisition) wheels. Not a bad thing. Wonder if Biermann had something to do with that... 🤔
I love EV9
Almost like the BMW XM just a bit softer , less Macho style and a 3 row family SUV shape...the front lights are Cadillac the form like Land Rover-ish...
The large black cladding makes the 21 inch wheels look small
I want one asap
The show car was done at SIVAX Irvine in a huge rush. The interior was designed by an intern, all the hard points was off as a result. Overall it was a haphazard job. The roof of the show car is so straight it looks like it was concave while the production version roofline has a very nice ‘return’ . 😉
the small lights at the fronts are still there, they are just not on these photos :)
The led graphics on the front lights were the reason I liked the car in the first place. It added a bit of edge to the car and made it stand out. I understand they need to be realistic when they will mass produce these commercial cars, but it was really disappointing. ☹️ The drastic interior change was also a let down. 😅
The design totally evokes the Forerunners from Halo! Especially those lights
Its got something of the xm in the back 👀
the taillight kinda sorta looks like the flag of Isle of Man
The bottom line for me is that if KIA dealerships attempt to guage consumers on EV9 the way they did with EV6, I am not even going to consider it. I went to a Kia dealership for a base model EV6 and they tried to charge 62K before taxes and downpayment. In all I would have spent over 70k if I were dumb enough to buy it. Earlier in the week I saw the EV6 GT and by the time I came back, a few days later, they arbitrarily bumped the price of the GT up by 10 grand. I left the Kia dealership, test drove a tesla for the first time in my life and ultimately bought my Model 3 (and saved 20+K). With practices like this, I would never consider buying from a dealership again or from Kia again.
KIA & Hyundai are on top of the world
They nailed this. The Koreans are going crazy. Kia and Hyundai/Genesis are absolutely crushing it.
At first glance I thought it was a Polestar
Kia made a car that looked similar to the concept car unlike other car brands who create a concept car and then when they released the production version, we get disappointed that the vehicle don't look the same as the concept one, but except Lexus who produce the lc500 that look the same as the 2014 concept.
Production > Concept The first time ever. Seriously.
Agree, the production version looks better than the concept...that's uncommon.
Do the 20sssss
I read the video title in Doug Demuro's voice
where is the sunroof or moonroof?
The only thing is how much is it going to cost ?
I'll be honest I liked seeing your room better.
The Concept version intended for production will always be a design template to be improved upon, that's why it feels the Concept has rushed design or afterthoughts.
Can't wait!
One of the few rare instances where the production model ends up better looking than the concept
Pity they didn't make those wheel arches angular as concept had... But it is bald and beautiful at the same time.
i love this car so much - i wish there were a PHEV version. My family can't use a full EV - *insert sadface*
Pls make an ICE version of this.

Finally we are heading to futuristic electric car design. I thought Cadillac Lyriq is futuristic but kia ev9 win for that matter
Don’t know if it’s indicative of the industry as a whole as we move towards EV’s or maybe it’s just Kia/Hyundai but these concepts are starting to mean a whole lot more and are coming out of production looking very futuristic and close to their concepts. The Silverado EV production version also surprised me with how how futuristic looking it came out. I have mixed feelings about EV design but this aspect is pretty cool!
👍🏻
Why, why is it so attractive?
This at a first glance looks very similar to the kia seltos
It has 90s vibes.
The devil works hard, but Kia works harder
Kia's design of EV9 is a bit similar to Volvo's new EX90.
The back is very volvo…
I agree fully that the production version looks better. Look more like a finished product and that's a good thing. It's funny how the styling cues laid out by Tesla some time ago like minimalist interior, dash, and overall body work, trick outside door handles, cyber look, lack of grill -like front end - all that stuff is alive and well like every other EV, a sameness among EV's that is already getting boring. Thanks for excellent video 👍
When will manufacturers launch some more affordable electric vehicles? Many of us want to switch tot electric but can't afford 40-50k cars
I bought a Kia Sportage PHEV in August and they hit it out of the park both in driving experience and design. I swear Kia is riffing off of Volvo Inscription XC60 design ethic. From the interior of my Sportage to the rear lights on the EV9 echo the Volvo

Concept was good .and looks bulky suv feeling like hummer but they launched this small wheel ........ It should have 2 models one similar to concept and other this one production model which i don't like....
Honestly, I hated the design of the concept, and I LOVE the design of the production version… I know that both look similar but the production version just feels more finished
If anyone worries about the Price: You can now buy a Golf R with a few stickers for 70k
That's 2 times better than a 2 times more expensive Mercedes. The Korean are simply the best when it comes to EV design and design in general
