This is the New Largest Radio Galaxy (Alcyoneus) [4K]

Ғылым және технология

What is the largest galaxy? For a long time, the largest has been IC 1101, around 4 million light years in diameter. But in recent weeks, there has been talk of a new, even larger galaxy, Alcyoneus, which is said to be more than 16 million light years in diameter! But is that what's really being proposed in the original paper detailing the discovery? Not exactly, because Alcyoneus is a Radio Galaxy. But what is a radio galaxy, and if Alcyoneus is not the largest galaxy, then how large really is it?

I've recently realised that watching and listening to videos about space, physics, dimensions and everything in between, are very reliable ways to get me to go to sleep. I've always had problems with sleep, as it's probably something to do with my mind being very active until the early hours of the morning (up until around 12am - 3am). These videos are so fascinating, because it's all speculation and theories about things that are so mind blowingly grand and complex for the human brain to comprehend. I end up getting completely lost in thought and start dreaming, which then eventually I fall asleep.

In perfect SEA fashion, I fell asleep twice in the first five minutes and was only finally able to watch the video in its entirety when I woke up in the morning. You know what the problem with your comment is, and I know you meant it as a complement, but somebody curious about the video may read your first few words and get the wrong idea as you said you fell asleep twice. The danger with that wording is that to many, saying you fell asleep to something is like saying you were bored with it. Sea himself has brought this up on occasion.

I've never seen a video but from the title and content it seems like this is a pretty academic channel However, it might not be a good fit for KZread, or video format. If it puts people to sleep, that might be a positive feature that people seek out that makes it suitable. But YT and video in general are for rapid dissemination of information outside of such niche applications. Basically, no reason to complain. people watch for their own reasons. If you don't like slower paced videos because you're used to instant gratification and instant funny from fast paced Tik Tok videos, that's fine. But not everyone prefers that though.

This is the most pretentiously pointless gatekeeping thread of comments I have ever seen. As a viewer, one of the millions that watch SEA or any content creators videos, it is in no way shape or form a duty or obligation of that viewer to persuade or dissuade another individual to watch or not for any reason. There’s 10 hour loops of Bee Movie clips, 5 second shorts of meme degeneracy, 2 hour long interviews, 10 minute tutorials. KZread is quite literally whatever YOU need it to be. Go outside and touch some grass you cornballs.

Thank you so much for the amazing work you do, so that us mere mortals can take a glimpse of the vast unfathomable knowledge that are contained in our home planet and beyond to the farthest reaches of the universe. Simply saying thank you isn't adequate for the enormous work you guys do. Love from Bangladesh. 💝💝💝💝💝

I am always stunned by the pictures you use. It must take you forever to find them by scouring all the exploratory sites that make them available such as NASA, The European Space Agency (not the exact name by I can't remember it) and all the study groups attached to universities. Thank you for the beauty and awe they inspire.
