Anyone saying the trees shouldn’t be removed hasn’t dealt with a property that’s been neglected for years. I’m dealing with it on a much smaller scale, but it’s so much work to undo years of damage to the health of the mature trees and choose which ones to keep and if they make sense to the landscape. Keep up the great work!

Nick's finesse with his machines are a joy to watch

I feel like we are in step 1. Housecleaning. You already have the basement pretty much cleared. Now the upper floor. Which all needs to be done in preparation for when the structural work begins. You guys are amazing and keep up the great job.

OMG...I bet you guys are just drained, but what an accomplishment today, the clearing away around the foundation has really put things into perspective, what great mates to help with this feat of uncovering this stunning chateau...cheers to the progress...!

It’s good to re-watch these older episodes just to see the scope of this project and all that has been accomplished. Wow, just wow!

I just want to thank Calvin, Nick & Cameron for helping Dan. You guys are such an inspiration. I have an urge now to shovel dirt & move it in the wheelbarrow. Fixing to order soil for my yard, have it delivered and wheelbarrow it to fill in low spaces In the front and back yard. Gonna get tons of dirt & pretend i am clearing out the chateau with you. 🤣

I am in awe of all that you, Cameron, Nick, and Calvin have accomplished. The chateau's beauty is being revealed shovel and bucket full by shovel and bucketful. Love the music and this journey we are all on with you. Please stay safe and get some rest.

A lot of us understand what you’re talking about Nick! Every home we bought, one of the first jobs was to remove old and overgrown trees and shrubs. Old trees can be very dangerous to buildings. Most are either too close and dying off. Everything looks great that you four are doing!

Nick is a professional and knows the trees and how they grow and work. He wouldn't take down trees just because. There is a reason for the future of the garden and woods. It makes the area healthier. Love Nick xx

He has to take the tiles up anyway to repair the floor underneath and since there are already missing tiles and he's sure to lose more in the lifting process, he can just re-lay them with a smaller footprint and use coordinating encaustics in a decorative border at the perimeter.

Dan, Nick, Calvin and Cameron I see you all made massive effort as Dan said. Kudos to you and the way you are prepping for the next phase when the planning permission is given for the major restoration. It must be immensely frustrating to have to keep waiting for the paperwork. Love to you all for everything you have achieved so far and it really does take a village.

Taking down a lot of the trees has made such a difference, its such a prettier view, especially the work Nick has done around the grounds clearing the trees and the incredible amount of dirt Calvin and Cameron helped Dan move. 😀 Bravo for a job done very well 👏

So much work but so worth it! When this space is done and the staircase is whole, it will be stunning! Nick is a master with the excavator! Sometimes you have to clear space in the landscape so things can breathe and to reduce the stress on the building. Exciting progress and so much more to come! Stay safe!

The more episodes he films and releases on KZread the more income he makes which is the point of this whole channel He's never going to be able to finish this project because I don't know that KZread would pay him over 2 million euros which is probably what it would take to fix that place. Do you ever see him interact with any of the comments or answer any questions from the followers? I haven't.

​@@sethrobinson5303 The whole place is a death trap. It needs demolition. Hire a big enough machine and you could push the whole lot over in a day and cart away the rubble for crushing as hardcore.

At first I couldn't get why SO much dirt would be inside a building. However, SO many floors are made of dirt and that dirt insulation falls when the floors and walls give way. Great to see you have help.

and everything that blew in and rotted and then trees inside dropped leaves in the fall and that rotted to dirt. It doesn't take long for nature to reclaim something, but I'm glad the chateau is being saved from that fate.

Wow! It looks wonderful. The hard graft has paid off. Job exceedingly well done. To see the floor changes the space. I’m not a gardener however I do agree with Nick in clearing around the house. His machines are a great help. I’m worrying about the Ivy now and wondering how much mortar has been pulled out between the bricks. Sure it looks pretty but it’s not good for walls.
