Gaza based 80% of its economy on aid from different organisations, mainly from The West. They used this money to build tunnels and to buy weapons. NOT to educate their kids (and there are many...) or to build proper houses, infrastructure etc. No. And they tell their kids to hate The West and especially Israel. They were "justly" arrested for trespassing. The real problem is that many were "unjustly" released without being prosecuted. In democracies politicians don't direct the Police so I'm not sure how politicians can be complicit.. Also seeing we are trying to get "facts" straight Palestine is a "region" in the Middle East not a State or Country.

Not sure I agree with it being historically, I remember the college students that protested the Vietnam war. In fact, our own military shot and ended lives of some students. So no, it's not historical.
