Also add in the fact that the 2 monsters used were the very same 2 that Atem used in Pyramid of Light to bring out Sorcerer of Dark Magic.

Damn, you don't see Sorcerer of Dark Magic that often. I get why, given that you have to sack two level 6+ spellcasters to get it out, lack of self-protection, and its negate effect being limited to Traps only. But 3200 attack is no slouch, and its Trap negate not being a Once Per Turn means that it can stonewall Imperm, Evenly Matched, Solemn Judgement, and potentially Trap decks like Labrynth pretty well. And it's not tough to get multiple high level monsters out in any deck, let alone DM... hmm. I might slot this into my DM deck, just to see what happens. Could be fun.

Can't negate counter traps or traps that can't be negated or responded to, it's just like how Horus can't negate all spell cards. As for Labrynth decks, it depends if Sorcerer can respond or their Labrynth field spell chains first which I'm willing to bet the field will chain before Sorcerer can respond.

Been trying stuff out using Sorcerer of Dark Magic without it being a Dark Magician deck(or generally a focused Archetype), shit is difficult. Wish it had a retrained with a bit more protection effects on it tbh.

I’m still dissapointed that Sorcerer of Dark Magic was nerfed from his Movie version. For those of you who dont know, the movie version can negate and destroy trap card activations or the effects of face up traps that activate, as well as when he battles a monster, you reduce the atk/def of the battling monster by 500 x the number of spellcasters that have been sent from your field to the GY.

idk if you're just tossing her into the graveyard for the hell of it but you can also toss a dark magician in to then summon him from the graveyard lol i would 1000% prefer if it worked the way you just used it though because it just *makes more sense*

The reason was so that i could summon both her and dark magician from the grave with the field spell, and still get to use eternal soul afterwards to bring dark magician back. Rather than send a dm with no dmg in the grave to summon for free.

Please tell me this person did not just Ash their own Maxx C.

Dark Sorcerer You can special summon this card by tribute 2 or higher lv 6 spelcaster. When a trap card effect is activated you can negate that effect

Sorcerer of Dark Magic. It can only be special summoned from your hand by tributing two Level 6+ Spellcasters, and you can negate and destroy any trap cards activated on you or your opponent's turn. It's not viewed as a particularly good card, and I can see why. It has a high, niche cost to bring to the field, its negate is only useful on traps (the least commonly used card type of the three), and without any form of self protection, once it leaves the field, it's done for good. Other more powerful monsters are easier to bring out with far more benefit. It's two redeeming qualities though, are its 3.2k attack (which clears the more common 3k you usually see with easily summoned beatsticks), and its Trap negate NOT being a once per turn. Which stonewalls any commonly used traps like Infinite Imperm, Evenly Matched, or even Solemn Judgement. And it could potentially be a nightmare against Trap decks like Labrynth, if you play your cards right..
