This is the END for Jimmy Butler...

Спорт

In the midst of the NBA Playoffs and the impending NBA Finals between the Jayson Tatum led Boston Celtics and Luka Doncic led Dallas Mavericks, a lot of rumors are starting to circulate around the NBA. One in particular, is the possibility of Jimmy Butler being traded from the Miami Heat sooner than later. Rumors are circulating that Pat Riley and the Heat may not be willing to offer him the massive extension he's looking for and teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, and probably the Los Angeles Lakers, could be angling to trade for him if the opportunity arises. It always felt like Jimmy Butler would retire as a member of the Miami Heat, but now it seems like that may be changing. Let's talk about it.

this is breaking my heart as a heat/jimmy fan i lowkey think making the finals in the bubble in his very first season ended up cursing this era because pat started acting like jimmy going super saiyan backpack mode every year to carry middle of the pack rosters to deep playoff runs was normal and expected. The FO never went all in on maxing out his time here and just kept making moves around the margins or overpaying guys like tyler herro respectfully. You give jimmy and bam an offensive scoring guard 2-3 years ago and they would have been legit contenders, but its too late now. Dame was always a long shot but i think there was some acceptance that getting him would probably be the last chance all in move on getting a ring in the Jimmy era, and they just ran it back for the fiftieth time. I cant blame Jimmy for being checked out this year honestly. He gave the team every ounce of effort in his body in the playoffs and had some of the best performances ive ever seen and he didnt really get any commitment back. Smh.

It’s a tough situation. It’s pretty clear the Heat roster is not that impressive and is, at we saw, a first round exit without him at best. But at the same time he’s asking for way too much money, and despite the fact that I love him in Miami, he needs to either take a pay cut or he gets traded for a lot more young talent, or just talent.

At this point, my dream is a 3-way trade: 76ers, Cavs, and Heat where Heat get Spida, 76ers get Jimmy and Cavs get a boatload of picks and young pieces. Everyone wins EVERYONE WINS!!!! 76ers most certainly need a playoff performer. Embiid is 20% worse come the playoffs we all know this...Jimmy is like 50% to 60% better come playoffs 😅 Mitchell gets paired with his good friend Bam and the "Jimmy window" becomes the Bam window which makes way more sense. Cavs get enough cap space to find another star and make them an offer they cannot refuse...I get it stars don't tend to choose Cleveland but the Spida Garland fit does not work and we all know he doesn't want to be there. And does not even sign proven players like Alex Caruso like wtf bro. Sniping and hitting big on undrafted gems could only take you so far. And expecting Jimmy to backpack and carry a below average roster come playoff time is not a good idea when he's in his mid 30s. They should really trade for Trae Young if he's available or even Donovan Mitchell. Might as well draft Bronny to lure LeDaddy. 8:12 So sick of the narrative that Jimmy has had no help. So Jimmy got the 1 seed in 2022 by himself after only playing 57 games?? (btw if they had lost all the games jimmy was absent for they would’ve been the 13th seed so clearly the supporting cast was good enough to make up that difference ). That team also got to the ECF and then only missed the finals because Jimmy (who isnt a clutch 3pt shooter) took the last 3 and missed. Jimmy had an all star center, the literal 6th man of the year, a HOF championship winning PG that the heat signed to make him happy, one of the best defenders in the league at the time in pj tucker and sharp shooters like duncan and strus along with the best coach in the nba. But somehow Jimmy had absolutely no help Ppl say the heat failed him by not trading for a third star. If your star player is good enough, you dont need a 3rd one. We lost the finals to denver and la. Did jokic and Murray have a 3rd star?? No. Cause jokic was good enough. Did bron and ad have a third star? No cause bron was good enough. Sure we didn’t have the best roster of all time but we cant just dissolve jimmy of any possible blame

It's not that the Heat needed a third star; the supporting cast needed an upgrade because the ones they've had were questionable. @@jimmygbuckets2233 Damn bro you’re so defensive. Jimmy been good but you can’t expect him to just not care about the regular season and somehow turn it on in the post season and expect him to carry the Heat to the finals every year. That’s not going to happen especially with his age and even if he was healthy they wouldn’t beat Boston so yeah that’s my opinion bro 😅

I feel like people were upset about what pat riley was talking about when jimmy was talking trash if he wasn’t injured or anything that the heat would win but I have no problem what pat said he’s watched guys like wade and bron and other champion players and they never talk much trash like jimmy at the end of the day injuries are part of the game no excuses I wonder what Jimmy feels on the comments on what Riley said but he’s gotta deal with it !!

He definitely will be a no rings guy. Its kinda the same energy with Dame, Harden and Embiid they gave their life to the game but there'll always be an injury or something tragic awaiting them in the playoffs. Fortunately rings aren't everything 😂

@@BigBroKuma Except Jimmy gives more in the postseason than 2 out of those 3. Harden and Embiid tend to shrink(production wise and sometimes impact) pretty nastily if they're evenly matched or a series drags on(even excluding times they were clearly outmatched or not winning like with GS and this year's Knicks).

@@UncleJrueForTueWoah I am not doing a My guy vs those guys debate here 😂 I'm just saying that it's unfortunate that Jimmy did not get a ring. And yes I know Harden and Embiid had their moments I watched the Boston series last year. I don't really care I kinda just wanna see one more push from Jimmy on the Sixers if he's not staying with the Heat and after that I'd prob wanna see Embiid retire so he doesn't f$ck up the rest of his life same with Jimmy cause injuries are slowly becoming a problem for him.

@@BigBroKuma I'm not a fan of a player like Jimmy not even getting a fair shake at a ring more than anything. The Heat have never been universally favored or anywhere near equal to whoever they're facing going into the finals. At least with guys like Harden, Embiid, Chris Paul, and Russ there have been real opportunities to win it all. Unless the Warriors still lose both KD and Klay in the series, I don't think Jimmy, Embiid, and Ben really have a chance to win it all in 2019. Team was too top heavy and clunky on offense.

Jimmy's had the weirdest career fr, considering he's a star player. Drafted low, didn't get a lot of minutes early on. Got better, went to different teams. He hasn't had that typical star player year where he's the undisputed number 1 player on his team, leads them to a high seed with crazy stats (26+ ppg on good effiency, for example) and then gets an award or at least a first team honor. He's never been an AMAZING regular season guy. He has made his legacy by being a playoff riser but that version of Jimmy I don't think we saw it until he was already on his 30s. And call me cynical but if you have that talent to average 38 in a playoff series but never been able to average north of 27 in a regular season, then maybe youre just a guy who is elite at times but can't maintain that level of greatness. Because it's not like the Heat never needed him to score a bit more in order to win more games. What I guess I'm trying to get at, is that maybe we've put Jimmy in a category where he just never belonged. Great player nevertheless, a HOF in my opinion

Heat Culture. lol. Largely a creation of the media. A way for an aging Pat Riley to take credit that should rightly go to Spo. But he’s clearly trying to run Butler out of town, and he’s probably right. At 35, he’s worn out his welcome. His antics can no longer be overlooked.
