try this with a Oliva Monticello Cigar (they're only 22 each) but each review and description fits that Dark chocolate and Coffee bean flavor. i picked those and the Adictivo randomly but im glad the profile of the cigar would probably go well with the tequila.

I have tried the añejo and the extra añejo. My only problem with this tequila is that is way too sweet. The sweetness comes from added sugar, no doubt. It it taste like Scotch with a little taste of agave at the end.

I agree, but I think that’s why I love this tequila. It’s a great after dinner drink. Try pairing it with a nice cigar after a heavy meal and I promise you won’t be let down!

The Sugar Taste comes from the Aging Process of which the Tequila turns from a blanco to a añejo sitting in the White Oak Casks for more than 7-8 years..

I don't know if you add sugar to your tequila but I know it gets sweet from the agave, agave is not salty but sweet. Go to Mexico to learn before you open your mouth

Buy and drink what you enjoy! However, I want to explain why this tequila is so poorly rated by tequila experts, and experienced tequila fans like myself. Adictivo is full of additives - mainly artificial sweeteners. Read about tequila additives that are legally allowed to be added to Reposados, Anejos, and Extra Anejos (not Blancos). 1% each up to 4 additives can be added, and they are not required to disclose these on the label. It will still say 100% Agave. Traditionally made, quality tequilas are not “insanely sweet”, or “insanely smooth”. Drink what you enjoy, and I hope you don’t take offense to my comment. I just wanted to answer the question about why this brand receives low scores from tequila connoisseurs. Salud!

No offense taken Roger! I know additives are usually added for American Tequilas in order to increase smoothness/ give a sweeter taste. What do you prefer to drink when it comes to Tequila?

Could you recommend good silver tequila under 100$? I have only tried olmeca, salitos or Sierra but never 100% agave and im looking now for some to test

I personally don’t sip Blanco tequila, but if you’re looking for a great Blanco I’d definitely recommend Casamigos. It’s one of my favorite Blanco’s under $100

Roger what’s some tequilas you recommend

For my 55 birthday we enjoyed shot of this tequila, trust me you will enjoy the taste. Now I need to replace it.

Mate, I hope I don't come across as disrespectful or snob. I highly recommend that you get two glasses for when you are reviewing tequila (or spirits in general). Get a Glencairn Copita nosing glass for nosing, you will be amazed to the subtle differences you will pick up from one spirit ( especially tequila) to another. The other glass you need to get it's a Stölzle Lausitz whiskey nosing glass, this glass is good for nosing but it does gather a lot more ethanol up front, what this glass is really good at, it's delivering those flavours from the agave and oak. I can guarantee you, once you try tequila straight from that glass, you will never dream of adding ice to tequila. One last thing, try the Fortaleza anejo and G4 reposado or anejo, they both under $100 and fantastic tequilas!

I drink it neat in my most recent video where I blind taste it against Cava De Oro. I had a lot of backlash over the neat verse with some ice.

This is the tequila all over the airports and tourist traps in Mexico. I’ve alway avoided it because if that. Sampled it and didn’t find it too bad but never bought it.

I have a sweet tooth so I love Adictivo. Saddened to learn much of what I like about it is from additives.

Don’t let a small amount of additives fool you. Still an amazing bottle! The additives are really just sugars which could also naturally be added by sugars the agave releases.

Don't be sad - try some authentically made Tequilas and see if you truly enjoy the taste of agave the way it is supposed to be . You might be surprised ! If not you can always add a small amount of simple syrup or try making Tequika old fashioneds. And when you are done' go back to buying Adictivo, everyone's palates are different. There's no shame in liking something that was exhaustively engineered to make people like it.

Milkhais- it was sweet tequilas that got me started, and I initially had a tough time when learning about and trying additive-free brands. It’s an adjustment. Just learn about warming up your mouth because that first sip without all that added glycerin and sugar will shock your palate. But the difference is huge, and now there’s no way I can tolerate the manipulated, artificial tasting tequilas.

Sounds like tears of llorona. More of a bourbon guy but I think I'll try this bottle. Also Jalisco when said correctly sounds like Ha lisco

Adictivo is very much like Cava De Oro it's not bad but way too sweet for me, would prefer other tequilas with some sweetness like Dulce Amargura or Clase Azul.

Same family as Cava De Oro.

Well you must be living in the United States. Here in Canada if you can find it with taxes and shipping easily over 200 dollars Canadian. Very difficult to find here in the Great White North

Yea this tequila is definitely sweet… Clase Azul is a more balanced version of it. Clase Azul is sweet too but not as sweet

See I agree it’s sweet, but after trying Clase Azul with and without ice I’m not a fan. I find it to have a strange bite at the end that almost gives me a headache. Sadly, Clase Azul is a bottom tier tequila in my book.

No doubt. I've been drinking tequila for 20+ yrs. This is the far the best tequila for it's price and better than any $500 tequila. Smooth, bold with flavor, sweet and amazing for those sipping and none tequila lover or whiskey lovers. I have about 12 bottles. I have one bottle per months 🤣🤣😎😎 it's only $60 per bt.

I enjoyed addictive with ice, but I’ll retry the Clase Azul without ice to see if it makes a difference!

No additives, no ice for me, but I am normally a bourbon drinker, Wild Turkey 101.

So this Tequila anejo is like Cava de Oro!? Okay, cool.

I really enjoyed the tequila and the taste I also bought fortaleza the Christmas special they make winter blend and it was horrible I really dont care what people say this tequila is the best better than casamigos I taste it and I bought 2 here in cabo. just for a special occasion people are always trying to tell you what's the right way, do what's good for you and enjoy I'll bet if you invite them they will still drink it.

This isnt even in the top 100. The name says what is in the bottle....ADDITIVES. It is overly sweet and fake sweet, like diet soda sweet. Not a legit tequila.
