An Old Fable but you're an adult now so it sounds different
A lot of people have found the previous titles a bit confusing, so I've experimented a bit with different titles.
But also, I've just not been super happy with what I had before.

Imma push back on this. _Hansel and Gretel_ taught me that "your parents are fallible and will abandon you if they must, and you should learn to defend yourself because they won't" which actually was incredibly useful to know throughout my childhood. The moral of the story of Hansel and gretel is don't go into the forest alone and don't trust the spooky old lady who offers you treats. The same way little red riding hood is about stranger danger and how if something seems off you should trust your gut instinct. Not all fables make sense but Hansel and Gretel has great lessons in there. (Eventhough the children literally commit murder)

First get income to qualify for a Roth IRA. It can be as simple as getting a 1099. Pay the tax now so you dont have to pay a higher tax later. Its best you start this account as early in your life as possible. This is your long term investment. Then get a stock account to invest in dividen stocks. It does not matter what broker you deal with. Just pick whatever you like. Buying and selling stocks is not what you should do with this account. The tax is high and the laddering strategy is a massive hassle. Get dividen stocks and look for ones that pay a high percentage. A stock like AT&T is perfect. The more shares you have, the more dividens you get. The value of the stock does not matter very much as long as you still recieve dividens. This is your midterm investment. Then if you have a high deductable health plan, get an HSA account. NOT FSA. ITS HSA. Here is where you can buy and sell stocks TAX FREE. Whenever you have a medical expense, pay out of pocket and keep the reciept in a cool, dry, dark area. You can later submit that reciept whenever you'd like and get the money tax free. The best part is you can use the money for whatever you want. This is your short term investment. Then, I'd also advise investing some money in buying physical precious metals at the end of each year. You dont need to spend a lot. Just $200 would be fine. I'd advise you keep these in a safe place. This is only for absolute emergencies if you somehow can acess needed resources through normal means. Also, It is a good idea for you to have this just incase you die and dont have much to pass on to whoever is the beneficiary.

I haven't heard too many of these types of stories. What I heard all the time were stories about a female protagonist who was virtuous and kind, but utterly passive. Then this virtuous girl ends up in a terrible situation, but her gosh darn sweetness carries the day. Her complete inaction and general pleasant demeanor causes some magical being to solve all of the girl's problems and then she marries a prince. Then there's usually a mean girl who doesn't listen to anyone and eats the magical tart that was made for the orphans and kicks the talking cat that warns her about the dangers ahead and she's eventually punished and ripped apart by swarms of ants made of gold.

The video's title just makes me think about how my take away from The Boy Who Cried Wolf changed as I grew older. I understand the moral is to teach people not to lie, but as I got older I started feeling like the moral should instead be (or rather could also be) that there are certain things you should never leave to chance. That just because you've been duped several times already, some things are worth the possibility of being duped again if it means avoiding disaster should the one time you not follow through be the time when it counts.

These types of stories happened because when people kept facing the shittiest conditions, they would still have to lie to themselves that it's okay. So the logic of "if you don't like this, just wait till you see the alternative (of having everyone belittle you until you die alone), and you'll come back running for the lesser of the two evils" became the only thing they could think of. And it went so for long time until now when things are much better for a lot of people, a large chunk of these people still think "they worked every minute of their life for this, in horrible conditions" despite coming from a good family with a decent income, and a lot of opportunity. And these people are the exact type to have the necessary spare time to voice out in public how horrible the new generation is for not working in "the coal mine", how adversity breeds greatness, and how they had it "tough" and it pushed them to be better. This isn't to say that it's good to be comfortable constantly, since life just doesn't work that way. You can be the most successful person on the planet and you can still trip, hit your head on a coffee table and have to face the effects for the rest of your life. Almost nothing is in your control. And you have to accept that, and try to be ready for it, but that doesn't mean to force other people into artificially adverse condition "just to build character". There are other ways, such as encouraging, enabling positive traits, and supporting them. Wonderful animation as always!

On top of that, you add the fact that he is paid so little, he is left with no money for his own pleasures.* (No minimum wage. GREAT!) *After an unknown amount of time, he decides to leave. Now see, this is why isekais are a thing. When your life sucks this much, sometimes you need to just start over (usually via death and reincarnation) and become a genius hero who usually has to bear the weight of the world on his shoulders, be potentially manipulated by a bunch of cunning politicians in power, end up running around with a harem of women (who may genuinely love him if he’s lucky) , as he fights a long and bloody war that somehow doesn’t leave him with PTSD, or maybe it does, and the story just don’t dwell on it all that often, except for plot. And maybe afterwards he’ll return to his former dystopian reality, with all the power needed to reshape the world to his whims, or maybe he’ll stay in his formerly-dystopian reality and make the best of it. Isekais are rather jarring when you look too closely at them, no?
