Does this have Super Mario 64 on DS!?

My brother got this for himself, and we tried it out for a bit. My biggest suggestion for people is when you first turn it on, re-configure your controller layout. Find the menu that the controller layout is in and re-map the buttons. Out of the box, it came with all the buttons mapped incorrectly. The B was mapped as the A, etc. So none of the menu buttons worked correctly that show on the bottom of the screen for what to hit. Had to re-map so the A was actually the A, B was actually the B, etc. We struggled around for like 15 minutes and thought it was a bunk system because we'd hit, for example, B to start a game, but when we hit B, it would take us out to the main menu, which was actually A.

What happens to the box, well you ever see those videos of china shipping companies loading trucks. Using logs as battering rams and stuff to max fill the trucks. There is a reason so many vendors from china do a ton of bubble wrap, some guy with a hammer will be hammering in your package.

These things are amazing. I don't get the hate some have. Put yourself in the 90s and imagine having this.... It's insane. For the most part it's like a pi for dirt cheap

Yeah, I have the console x king and it's by the same publisher and there are sometimes 7 or more duplicates for a lot of games. What happened to 1000 no repeat games for instance. Mostly ok but sometimes the sound is distorted even on nes. For a poor person as myself the $350 was a heck of a lot of money, so I have to use it for another 3 years or more before I can get a newer version. Sort of setting my sights on a decent hand held for Christmas.

These are going for Cdn$180 here in Canada (on Amazon). That is not a huge amount of money, but it is well above the impulse purchase threshold. Given the questionable build quality and utter absence of customer support, I will be looking at other options.

Yeah. It looks like they cut out the fmv on a lot of the PlayStation games on here. That is a bummer. It seems like the other games are ok. I wonder if there is a way to move the image of the SD card to a larger one. We will see if a modding scene starts up around this.

@@incorectulpolitic It stands for "full motion video". They are the video clips in the PlayStation games. This console has the ripped versions that are missing the videos.

I'm still satisfied with my Super Console X Pro,I must have missed the 2nd one never seen it unless they consider the pro version the second.The fact that it plays Saturn games is the only thing that makes it better to me

I agree with the point you made about the game selection being limited to only what runs. There's no point in digitally hoarding a bunch of ROMs that don't actually work for you. You might be able to export them, but the kind of people looking for these are probably not extremely savvy and may not know how to emulate on a PC. (Or don't have a PC they can use for emulation.)

@Justin Christopher if you're playing a ROM from a company that's been out of business for 20 years, is it really stealing? Sometimes, in gaming at least, you are doing just that. If you bought a cartridge second hand, the owner of the intellectual property doesn't get paid another royalty, so the morality is still grey at best. Sometimes I play ROMs of games I own on a device that's more convenient. I like Super Metroid, for example. I own it on SNES cartridge. Sometimes I want to play it on a pocketable device in a place that's not where I maintain my collection of games. Is it wrong to be able to choose how I want to experience something I've bought?

Which of the ready to run boxes that are out there do you recommend? Mame is a must for me.

One great thing is seeing the review and then finding this item on Amazon without using the referral link.

Some of the video cutscenes are missing on the Playstation games. I hope they did not cut them out when they made this system. I will fiddle with the video settings and see if they play. I was wondering since this is on 256GB. It is weird because the video is on Jammer Lammy and Parappa the Rapper. Those are working fine.

I was thinking criteria like, working games on the hardware specs it has (N64 etc), no dupes, no endless copies of games / different makes of same game, decent controllers, and put together well / UI etc. Also maybe a category for 2 players, and then something that will handle 4 players Mario cart

yea, use your computer, use your computer or use your computer...you can get every emulator on your computer...every single one. And not have to break the law by paying people who don't own the copywrite or anything.....just use your computer....its still illegal but this way you're not paying someone as well. Buying a illegal console is at least 2 crimes. But usually police will say if a rom has 110,000 games, thats 110,000 cases of theft. which you don't want to know the punishment for that

Also, the MAME games are missing sound effects because they did not add the samples files. Top notch job!

With these systems, I'm mostly interested in playing arcade games, but I do like the retro consoles as well. For the price, eh, I think I'll just hold out for the day when someone finally gets the harder games to run right and actually curates the list to get rid of the five thousand King of Fighter duplicates.

Ok so I also have the same console , it's mostly the same but says Kinhank on the top and mine came with 64gb sd card from Ebay. Mine cost me $135 and took about 3-4 weeks to finally arrive at my address location. Mine plays MAME games super excellent have had zero issues with Mame games

They're nice but usually carry the same games and emu, over and over, a lot of these systems; even cheaper systems have same setups. They Should use better hard drives (2tb hard drive, instead of ssd) to load better games and better console emus; they limit these consoles with SSD storage which is limited to 128gb-256gb. Well you can already order "pre loaded" 4TB + hard drives with emu games loaded on them to emulate/newer consoles, those be interesting to see.

Bought a refurbished og Xbox a few years back. Hdmi, 2 terabyte HD. Every game for every system up to 2001 including arcade, dragons lair, etc. 20 preloaded Xbox games. Works like a charm. Best investment ever. When I say all this includes computer games.

@@dennyzartman ebay used to sell them. Look up Xbox or even Xbox 360 and then look for modded xboxes. I did an ebay search and choices were poor. A net search turned up a lot.

I got a vita I want to get modded. Same with my new 3dsxl. But I have no way or 0 clue how. I have tried finding a seller I could legit send my systems too. But no way I am doing that on like ebay...I'll never get my handheld back

Help you figure out which one to illegally pay for? dude just go online....instead of 100,000 games which can be 100,000 individual cases of theft....instead of downloading an emulator and play every game you want to play as a rom. seems like you guys are looking for the best way and keep going for the worst way to play old games... like grandpas forget the internet is here and its all there....

The problem I had was that you couldn't use SELECT in games because it was predefined to get out of the emulator. Redefining keys was also a ball ache as it lost the settings each time you restarted the machine. I just deleted all the systems I didn't want like the MSX, wonderswan etc and just added more PSP and MAME. Overall okay but it was probably better to just get a Bluetooth controller and get PSPP emulator on my PC.

seems like people would rather go through the head ache of figuring out an illegal console instead of playing the consoles they already have that have access to this stuff....

It would neat if the manufacturer would set up a website where people could report issues. They could use all that feedback as one huge testing group and compile a downloadable firmware upgrade for everyone to use.

You could buy a SNES mini for about 80bucks with 21 games built in..I bought one and realized I can hack into it and put every single game SNES ever made..

These things are much of a muchness. I have one of the other ones. It works fine on most older stuff. To play most Saturn and Dreamcast games you need one of those better specced builds which is basically a SFF PC and they're about 4 times the price. I toy with the idea of getting one but it'll probably get about the same usage as the cheap one.

Thought it would be a cheap thing to buy but it's £350 on the UK Amazon 😱😱

It's priced at £305 now. Not worth it. It probley hasn't got much longevity. Guaranteed it will stop working within a year.

My first system was a 2600, back in the late '70s. From there I went Sega instead of Nintendo because of the sports games. Mainly NHL. After that, I went PS instead of Xbox. For someone like me, being able to go back and revisit those early games would be pretty cool. Plus, it would be neat to see the stuff I missed by choosing one system over another. I must have played a thousand games of TecmoBowl at my buds house, so yeah, seems pretty cool if it works. Might check one of these out.

you know this is illegal? you know that most games...sega and nintendo that you're talking about is playable on their store for basically free? free if you have a sub to that service, and all the IP they own, so atari ect ect...so you don't have to do anything illegal to play a game you used to love but that will no longer bring enjoyment outside that ten seconds when you're like just like I remembered.

What would you say is your tip pre made retro system m? I made one with retro pie but some games look terrible or don’t run at all.

Does anyone know if there exists a USB Trackball that can be used to play some of the arcade games on this system? Specifically Golden Tee. The system lets you use the left stick on the provided controllers as the trackball, but they do not really work. You can't do anything but minimum power, which makes playing Golden Tee impossible.

Are these emulated or original ROMs for each gaming system?

I would have been surprised NFS on the 3DO worked because it has a bunch of videos of the narrator and characters in game of real people as characters.

About halfway through this review, I realized that we weren't going to see the hatchet. So at least this thing gets a passing grade, but for $175, I think there are better ways to spend your money.

A couple of months back I got a Super Console X king pro (the black one with the skull) and it came with 117,000 games on it, and the interface set up is basically the same. And I noticed it had 700 PS1 games on it just like this one does, but on the Super Console King like 90% of the ps1 games had no music 😠 I was wondering if you had the same issue with the majority of your ps1 games as well? If you haven’t checked further into the ps1 library on you Super Console X3 you might want to do so because this seems to be a ongoing issue with these consoles unfortunately… 🤔

They're super compressed roms, they do that to lower the rom file size.

@@josem.garibay5478 yeah, you’re absolutely right! The audio files that holds the music alone would raise the ps1 Roms well into the 500 or more mb range. But nonetheless the games have no music and that’s a huge disappointment…

On the super king you can delete and add ROMs. Pain in the ass I know but if I were you I’d delete the ROMs that aren’t working as well as the foreign versions and replace w ROMs that work

@@yamomnemboys1293 yep that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. I’ve already deleted over 400 ps1 Roms so far because none of them not had any music. I’ve replaced them with Sega Saturn and Dreamcast Roms. The ps1 Roms we’re so compressed that I have to delete like 5-6 ps1 Roms just to put 1 Saturn Rom and even more for the Dreamcast Roms. I backed up the SD card so I have a original copy of the Roms and also replaced some of my ps1 Roms with legit working ones, but it’s a very tedious process.

I got this one last week, and I noticed this no sound issue in ps games as well. Turns out they deleted all the audio tracks to save space, so annoying.

how does mortal kombat 2 and the ultimate mortal kombat run on that machine because on the super console x pro those games do not run well ?
