I attended a beanie festifal back in June of this year (2023) it was held in the red centre of Australia, Alice Springs..I decided to make cloche hats to sell..I made 9 hats in 6 days, submitted them all and SOLD 8..when I attended the festival I could only find one hat, so I was quite surprised, a week later, receiving a check for 8 hats..I was so chuffed..now I made roses for each of these hats and I sewed them to safety pins..I figured this way, if they didn't want to attach the flowers then they could leave them off OR wear them as broches..

Brilliant! I love this style crochet hat. I still have an original my grandmother made for herself in the 1920, but it's a bit too fragile to wear, I think. So I shall now make a few of them 🙂

Thank you Crystal, I am a hat person, also always cold, . Have started this already, the cloche style is one of my favourites. Its so quick and easy, I always make things too complicated, some times less is more. Thank you so much for a quick easy satisfying pattern. Kind regards from London

I am so disappointed that I couldn't finish this hat. I broke my neck and when it came time for me to try to find that third stitch I couldn't do it because it was putting too much strain on my neck to fight with getting the crochet hook into the third stitch. I loved the hat but it isn't worth the effort and the pain. I then tried to put it into the back loop but wasn't the same effect. Thanks for your tutorial but I guess this hat isn't meant to be in my future. I will be moving on to find something a little more easier. Definitely loved the pattern. Thank you for sharing.

What is life without a doggo? I can’t imagine my life without my baby! I have to remake this hat, it came out more like a beret, I think I pulled my double crochets down too tight because the hat isn’t extending downward like yours is. Trial and error, Trial and error LOL!!!!
