Had something like this happen to me when I was like 12... 2 girls purposely embarrassed me... Went home crying. My mom hugged me and told me they're not real friends. They showed up to my house and apologized. I said "I can forgive you guys"... Then my mom jumped in and said "but she doesn't forget and neither do I, I'm not done with you 2 but we're done for now!" And slammed the door in their faces! Very grateful for that lesson 30 years later ❤

My "friend" met my husband and kids for the first time and was smitten by him. A few weeks after meeting him, she asked me to borrow money. When I let her know that I'd have to talk it over with him, she said that she'd talk to him for me. I don't know what she thought she was going to say to him that I couldn't. I kept my cool and didn't ask her if she'd lost her mind. Needless to say that I pulled the plug on that "friendship".

This is what being bullied looks like. If you noticed, the girl who's wig was snatched off, did not defend herself. She's most likely the one everyone picks on and it's really heart breaking that this type of behavior goes on in the Black community a lot. I can speak on this because, I am Black. Unfortunately thats probably why the other girl thought it was acceptable and even funny to do it..knowing the young lady with the wig doesnt seem to have a condition that would physically necesitate wearing the wig..not saying its ok but in a immature brain she probably didnt think it s harmful to do this because from what she knows or can see the young miss just wears the wig cause she prefers to and likes it..sad thing is she did that while sporting horse hair herself and the other girl as u stated looks to have a full head of hair simply braided down.

I would bet that the one who snatched the wig thought her natural hair would be a hot mess. Unfortunately for her, that young lady had a beautiful hairstyle under the wig. I wonder what would happen if the shoe was on the other foot and her wig got snatched… I will say this, as someone who used to wear wigs and ponytails, one time at a party, I was dancing with a group and we were having a blast. I didn’t realize my ponytail was loose until it was in the middle of the circle. In an instant, the music went real low, most people stopped dancing and were looking at me. I kept dancing, started laughing, picked up the ponytail, swung it in the air while yelling turn the beat back up! It’s like everyone at the party was holding their breaths for those few moments and then burst out laughing. The music went back up and we all had a good time. My bestie came to me after I had gone to the restroom to make absolutely sure I was ok. (That’s what a real friend does.) I told her; I was; it’s my fault for not bobby-pinning my pony in better and I wasn’t going to ruin someone else’s party over something so ridiculous. We partied for a while more. It was an awesome night!

THEN she would ask them to put me on some type of school punishment (and I would have been grounded until she felt the point was made). Ooh, you're so right. That girl is surrounded by vultures, she needs some new friends.
Damn, I can't believe these wanna be mean girls are still doing these petty s*it. I remember my junior year in high school (2007), this one freshman girl had her period mess her jeans, so she had a hoodie wrapped around her waist. Her so-called friend pulled the hoodie from around her in the lunch room when they were passing by the boys table and started laughing while carrying the hoodie with her. None of us guys thought it was funny. We all got up to help the poor girl. One of my friends ran after her and took the hoodie from her..some seniors girls came over and took her to the bathroom and one offered to gave her her gym pants. I have 5 sisters, so that made me really mad that another girl would embarrass her friend like that just for fun... I have 4 kids (2) girls. One of my fear is that my girls will befriend these type of mean girls...
My sister has a group of college girlfriends that have a girls' weekend every 2 years. My sister has Alopecia, and one of the years she was completely bald, wearing a wig. They were at a small club, on the dance floor. A drunk jerk of a male keep sneaking up behind my sister, trying to snatch her wig off. Suddenly, the girls formed a tight circle, backs together, my sister in the middle. They shuffled the circle over to the jerk, and starting spinning it. One by one, they threw their drinks at him, saying things like, "Does it make you feel like a big man to embarrass a woman?", and, "You must have a really small pecker to have to compensate like that." Everyone began to laugh, and he stormed out of the bar. I don't know if he learned a lesson, but everyone in the club learned about real " Girl Power" that day!

That’s embarrassing! Thankfully her hair was neatly cornrowed underneath the wig. Could you imagine if she was bald or was having a really bad hair day? But this was really inappropriate and outrageous of the other girl who may not have been a friend to begin with. This may have been classic bullying.
My "friend" would've got drop kicked
The whole group are bullies because they all knew it was coming and were in on it for a laugh. Someone had the camera rolling and most people were standing behind her to see the action. That was ASSAULT!! And there’s no other way to put it. What if they had snatched her edges off because of glue or clips. The victim was not amused. She texted on her phone to comfort her disapproval to give herself time to process and then react. This is Mean Girls level antics. I hope she distances herself from them before she really gets hurt.
I had a friend who I always had vibes that didnt like me and was using me as a replacement friend for someone who left. I even asked her one day, like do you even like me and she SNAPPED at me, and saying she wouldnt be hanging with me if she didnt like me. But she never listened to me and never engaged in what i shared. Then one year my husband and I did new years with her, and he told me it felt like she was waiting for cooler people to show up due to how she was interacting with us. And then i was like, man i knew i wasnt crazy. 😭

The next day. She brings up that she saw us Exchange numbers. I said, "Yeah, we're gonna go to the museum to see the King Tut exhibit." There's always a bit of truth behind jokes.
I don't think this is even a "friend", what I saw was a bully who planned to publically humiliate her victim. The girl in question did not even acknowledge what had happened to her and I feel this was probably out of fear. This hurt my heart.
More than one person showed their ass that day! I didn't see anyone stepping in to help or defend her. She may be embarrassed, but she was just blessed with some knowledge about who her enemies are.
That’s not her friend and neither is the cameraman. That was set up. 😡

Girl, that’s an “all-my-life-I’ve-had-to-fight” moment. That’s not a friend, for sure.
Real friends don't make you the butt of jokes...
One thing I have _never_ done, nor will _ever_ do, is humiliate someone or say something said in confidence in a moment of anger. Never. It’s probably why I have fewer friends than fingers on one hand. And I’m fine with that.
That poor victim froze. Ashamed. Overwhelmed. Hurt.
EJ, I appreciate you playing the video just once. This young lady already faced enough embarrassment at the hands of her shamefully juvenile peer.
This reminds me of the females in my family, and I was always told that's family no matter what and they love me (toxic much?!). So naturally I thought females like that were friends, until I unlearned that. I definitely don't trust or keep anyone around that posses that type of energy at all🧿💜

Laughing when someone falls is one thing. Setting you up TO FALL and laughing is another.
Not her friend. She ignored it by staying on her phone. The snatcher wanted others to laugh at her. Definitely cut her off. Also I was the friend who cracks jokes a lot. But what I learned is what I thought was light hearted roasting really hurt a friends feelings. I immediately stopped once I knew even though she was laughing too she was hurting on the inside.
Hmmmmm, from my observations, toxic friendships are the norm😢

They are, but only if you let them be. A lot of us hold onto toxic people and bad friends just to have a friend. It's the same thing with dating, you don't hold onto someone who would do you wrong just to have someone. If those people keep getting left, they have no choice, but to reflect... but people keep giving people a hundred chances. You do one out of pocket thing to me, we are done. I learned my lesson on that long ago.

You are so right EJ - humiliating someone is indicative of some deep seeded hateful feelings
I just ended a friendship of 20+ years because I realized she was not codependent, but a covert narcissist! Yayyy! We decided to quarantine together for work (she’s a medical provider and I’m an educator), and I realized she wasn’t safe to be around (bc of all the covertly narcissistic things). The last straw was the night she sabotaged my going away party that was supposed to be the next day. She was both mad and glad I was leaving, but upset that the party wasn’t about her. She invited some new dude over during set up (when she blew me off all week), then got upset when he was trying to help me set up…which she was supposed to do. She told me she wanted to help me design and sew might dress as a personal project. Then I caught her “whispering” to her date that she had no intention on helping me. She just kept getting drunker and drunker and had the loudest, most obnoxious sex she could. A couple nights before, she ruined a dinner my man cooked us (because we share) by stirring her unwashed hands around the pasta pot eating out all of the shrimp. Drank his cocktail…and kept it unapologetic. Threw around the place settings, kicked trash all around the kitchen, etc. Then when I told her about it the next day, it took her a half hour to apologize…and it wasn’t even a real one. She said, “I wish that didn’t happen. I need to examine how I use alcohol.” I wanted to beat her ass. My feeling (and her actions) let me know she was no longer a person to nurture. You shouldn’t want anyone to hurt your friends (including you). So bye bih! ✌🏾#notafriend

No, a real friend would not do that and I question the people around her. I had a toxic friend who always had to put me down and eventually I put her down permanently. There’s no room in my life for that kind of negativity.
The way I would’ve whooped her behind!!! What kind of friend does this to you. A real friend doesn’t pull your wig off. They pull you to the side and fix it in secret if your wig is slipping!
“We don’t really fact check over here…” took me out! 😂
I'm 37 and, back in the day, if someone did this and was a so called "friend" it would've resulted in a tussle. Period. These young folks today are different, they wouldn't have liked the 90s and early 2000s 😂
My true friends would never snatch off my wig to embarrass me. First of all, my true friends are not mean-spirited. And second, they wouldn't want to get cussed the f--k out; which is what I'm doing if they pulled such a stunt. The only reason my friends might snatch off my wig would be if the wig became unsuitable to wear (it caught fire, bird landed/pooped on it etc).
I hope she is well because that could mess with your mind...
Reminds me of my friend who, when I shaved my head and was shy about it so I wore a cap, she tried to snatch it off in public in a playful way saying “you look fine!” Like idk if she thought she was being encouraging but it always sat the wrong way with me
Also I would like to add is not every friend that you should travel with .🙇🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️sometimes just stay at home and read a book or travel when necessary.
So called “ bff” set me up to look like a fool at here baby’s Baptism.. Allowed the 2nd , Godmother to dictate her own Baptism. Talking behind my back and making it seem as though she didn’t want me to attend. Expressed to her how I felt and waited a week to text back. 15yrs down the drain 🤷🏾♀️. But that’s life! Thank God for the lessons. It was time for me to go! She was toxic with her drama..
“Friend” shit she’s the opps, she play too much and I am not for play
Definitely not your friend! A true friend wants the best for you.
Anti friend short story, My house is well-maintained and well-decorated. I'm a minimalist with children, and it never gets really messy. I was remodeling a small section of my kitchen. So there was exposed drywall and hardward. This "friend" uploaded a photo in front of the renovation and tagged me in it. I feel like this person went out of their way to embarrass me because their entire home looks questionable. They also make rude comments about how neat/plain my house is. 😢

THIS❤️💯🦾my half sister would always do and say things to try and embarrass me in front of people. Men and women tell me ugly things she allegedly said about me. I'd ask them what they said🧐 lol. They would tell me she's jealous because they believed I was pretty, more mature and academically gifted even though her mother is wealthy. I forgave her wholeheartedly and love her from a distance.

You stated it correctly ejspeaks. A true friend would never expose your flaws or weaknesses in public. When problems arise, they would come to you personally and discuss it.
And people wonder why I have a grand total of zero friends, and it's not because I'm zero tolerant 🙏🏽
People do that sort of thing when they are jealous. No. She is not her friend.

Right? Girl, I be ready to fight behind my friends, so I'm very confused how everyone just stood there. Girl would have quickly gotten left behind, and we would have froze her out the group. I used to wonder about stories when I'd hear someone's ENTIRE friend group left them alone and too often, it was because THEY were the one causing the issues, but they will sit there with a straight face and tell you every single person they used to hang out with was toxic. When YOU leave a friend group, it's probably true that they were toxic, but if THEY all leave you alone, it's you.

….Lord. Thank you Lord for moments like these. Where that friend shows their true feelings towards you, DISTANCE yourself from that danger! Forgive em and end that friendship. This is a real blessing. Exposed hatred is a BLESSING. Because now yk who to AVOID.
EJ is so on point with this one. If a person makes you feel bad about yourself, he/she is not your friend.
I had a Friend who would CONSTANTLY say little petty things and I got Tired of it and her. It felt like HATE and Envy…
I hope that was a planned prank by both parties….otherwise she was very lowdown and dirty to do that. Every one with good sense out there should have unfriended her on sight!!!
I hope she learned the lesson that day that she wasn't her friend. She's a hatin' scalliwag.

At that age, the way I would’ve reacted with my fist, I would’ve gotten the last laugh that day. That’s definitely not a friend, jealousy rears it’s ugly head. She couldn’t stand her being cuter than her.
That's not your friend. For some reason she's jealous of you and feels the need to bring you down.
Praying for the young lady who wig was snatched. Protection, healing, and discernment to get away from jealous people like this...had a cousin who constantly tried to embarrass me, from my clothing to my hair and weight. We're in our 40s now and she still the same. It's sad but I love her from an 8 hour distance and only really see or speak to her a couple of times a year😊
My wig fell off my head onto the floor but I didn’t realize it for a few seconds until I felt a breeze. When I looked to my right, my friend had picked it up and was holding it in her lap😂 we were seated in a crowded room with other people. I put it back on like everything was normal😂 We had a good laugh about it.
With friends like that, I may as well hang with my enemies. IJS🤷🏽♀️
A so-called mom friend of mine was xhatting with me and told me to not get it twisted because she secretly is jealous of me. Needless to say I believed what she told me.

I feel bad for the young lady this happened to, it hurts my soul. She’s not a friend, she’s a snake. It’s not funny or cute to embarrass someone to make yourself look better. I hope she never associates with that snake again and heals and makes true friends. May she be blessed 10 fold.
