This Is My Favorite Cheap Nano Shrimp Aquascape Tank | Superfish QubiQ 30 Nano Aquarium LED Review

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Is This The best Cheap Nano Shrimp Aquascaping Tank?
In this video I look at and review the Superfish QubiQ 30 Nano Aquarium. I have found the QubiQ 30 to be an excellent nano aquarium to setup a planted aquascape, possibly the best nano shrimp tank ever. It is ideal for keeping nano aquarium fish and shrimp, especially if its well planted, which the LED light is capable of supporting.
The Superfish QubiQ 30 comes with a prefitted internal filter, glass lid, optional LED light and features a place to hide your ugly aquarium heater.
Overall I think this is one of the best nano aquariums available on the market right now!

Fabulous review. I really like the look at this as a short term storage tank rather than the bio orb tank. Think I would prefer a multi colour LED with dimmer so I could have it in my daughters room. But I wouldn't know where to start with changing the lighting. I like the MCR Bio orb lighting.

My first tropical tank I have done recently is the 6 gallon interpet cube for my blue male delta betta, 4 otocinclus and 3 snails 2 zebra and one red spotted which I absolutely love other than the lights on the lid and the crap filter which was sold as a 4 stage but turned up with just one stage carbon filter only however I bought a hyggar sponge and media filter and new light. My next tank will be the one you are discussing however I will be getting the 60 cube and I very much look forward to setting that up and eventually stocking it and will definitely be having a betta, pygmy or dwarf cory', wild green neons and shrimp, this was the initial stocking I wanted for my 6 gallon cube but decided it wouldn't necessarily be enough space for all these species and the amount of each that would have been needed for each group to feel happy and secure 😊

Has anyone had issues with the heater not staying on while inside the back of the filter unit? I’m assuming it’s due to the immediate area heating up quickly due to being a small space and turning off more frequently. I bought another heater thinking it was faulty. My query is if I put the nano heater in the unit will it keep the tank temp at the correct temp?

Nice video! It convinced me to try getting this tank. I have an issue with the heater though, and I can't seem to be able to find any information about it. I believe superfish nano 50 heaters (the recommended ones) are either not produced anymore, or they've been rebranded as just 'eco', since these are also 17 cm in lenght. I got a superfish 50 pro (the only one they had in the store) because the box said it's 17 cm as well! It fits firmly in the compartment, but the tip at the bottom has to be pushed all the way outside the filter box (there is a small plastic removable disc that can be removed at the bottom). Even so, the temperature knob of the heater remains too far up for the filter box lid to close properly. And at the bottom, where the heater tip shows outside of the box, a small space is formed that would allow for critters to slip in the whole compartment. In this video the heater seems so far down in its concealed space, what am I doing wrong?

Good review thank you! I am looking to upgrade my fluval chi to this one for my betta. Currently the chi is well cycled and having added extra light, a waterfall external filter and filter medium its brilliant but if I were to buy the Qubiq would I have to stick just to the filter caratridge or can I use the ceramic filter balls I already have for extra biological filtration? As much as the Qubiq looks nice, I do feel that I need to pimp my filter to do what I need it to do. Also is the lid really that far from the edge? looks about an inch? Thanks

The only thing I dont like is the glass lid as the light reflects back into your face but its a very minor issue. The tank is a good size and the filter is more than adequate. Mine is substrate and planted up and my plants needed pruning after a month as they grew too much! He has drift wood rocks a cocoa shell in there and plenty of moss to mooch around in. I guess he must be ok as he is always making bubble nests. I have an assassin snail in there as well called Sid.

Apologies in advance - I'm new to the world of shrimp keeping/nano aquariums! In some comments you mentioned that you use an air driven sponge filter instead of the filter prefitted to the tank. Does this mean you removed the entire filter system, or just the filter media cartridge which slides out? I've watched some of your more recent videos but it appears that the prefitted filter is still in the tank, so does this mean it's just the cartridge you are replacing? If you did remove the full filter, how did you go about this? I am looking to keep shrimp and have purchased this tank, but having read some comments, I'm concerned that the filter may suck up the shrimp? Thank you.

I have the same issue. It's 100% the impeller. At the moment, i don't know how to silence this little impeller.

Do this keep switching the plug on and off and at some point it will be quiet. You have to get it exactly right or it will make noise again. Take the plug out halfway so the filter turns off and push it back in and keep doing that on and off and you'll notice on one of the tries it will be very quiet

My bf has this tank and I set it up and maintain it. The filter is too slow and their is no surface agitation so creates bio film and makes the surface stagnant which is no good. I wouldn’t recommend this tank
