This is my 100lb Intermittent Fasting Transformation - Thomas DeLauer
I mention my weight loss transformation from time to time, but I’ve never dedicated a video to solely explaining it. You see, I realized recently that A LOT of my followers had no idea that I even had a transformation! I used to be 100lbs overweight and working in the corporate world with a high-stress job.
Now, when I say transformation, most people think just a physical transformation…but my transformation was SO much more than just physical, it was mental as well. This video is dedicated to articulating both the physical AND mental hurdles I overcame to get where I am today utilizing intermittent fasting as well as the keto diet. My hope is that after watching this, you can do the same.

Started at 348 pounds in October 2018 and intermittently fasted through July 2019 and lost 114 pounds of fat. I still intermittently fast and it’s been three years but I did stop for a little while just to recalibrate for a couple of months. I kept the weight off but could feel that it affected my mindset and etc. I’m still fasting and I’ve dropped another 24 pounds. In total, I’ve lost 138 pounds. No lose skin, no meds, no issues of any sort! I’m working out daily and my family is doing it as well. Not just my wife but my siblings and other family members as well! They also have great testimonials regarding fasting!

I don't think it's okay to hate yourself. I think you can be upset with yourself. I think you can be frustrated with yourself, but hate is just too strong of a word. You don't have to be delusional about what the hell your body looks like, but you should love yourself for your flaws as well. Honestly, that's what I thought the body positivity move it movement was supposed to be about. Love yourself okay. Be honest with yourself. And do better.

It is human to be judgmental. It is instinctual for survival. At 70 it's something I still struggle with daily. One thing that has helped me stop making snap judgements about people was to take the time to talk to people more. It is surprising how even a brief verbal interaction with someone can change our opinions about them. We never know the personal struggles that everyone deals with both in their past but daily. So, yes, listen to that, so called, gut feeling but also take a deep breath and be logical about it (sill a struggle for me). Thank you for posting your comments. Hopefully, it will help others to do the same. Matt's journey is certainly inspirational.

That my brother was getting real! Keto and IM have been so instrumental in my life’s transformation, but it wasn’t until I learned how to control my thoughts and become mentally fit that I realized the real gains. Thank you for telling your story and letting people know it’s OK “not” to be OK all the time. Bringing in the mental aspect of physical well being is one of the missing links that so many others ignore or gloss over. Living from the heart, in the present, rather than from the ego and allowing the past and future to distort the now, will put everything positive into hyperdrive. Surround all of that with a healthy spiritual serenity and you become unstoppable. However, like you said, we all have relapses and bad days, sometimes bad weeks, but just be aware that this is part of the process of life. As we said in the military, “embrace the suck”...and move forward! Keep up the good work Thomas, it’s much appreciated.

Im 58yo, Native American, Navajo. I started gaining weight in 1995 after the death of a loved one. I gain 30 pounds in 7 months. At 200 pounds, I never returned. In Jan 2024, weigh in at 252 lbs. Over these years I became sick. Diagnosed with hypothyroid after Graves disease, diabetic, low testosterone, high estrogen, and kidney/ liver issues. Its April 2024, weighing 226 lbs and a1c 6.0 from 8.0. Keto and fasting is my only option. Veganism set me over the threshold into diabetes. I thought it was genetics but insulin resistant. I was afraid I would have a sugar crash, but my body somehow reset itself. No more meds that only treated the symptoms. I needed healing. I have a lifetime journey, literally. I look forward to the changes. Be blessed for sharing your journey. They are encouraging and very informative.

I started my journey on June 1 at a weight I never thought I would be. I was always the skinny one! Now I have 100 pounds of fat to loose. Stress of loosing my job, my home, moving in with my family who didn’t have to care what they ate. Little by little, sitting around not being active, I gained 100 lbs over about 2 years. I made up my mind that I had to change, fast ... or I had to go buy new clothes at a bigger size than I ever did. I found low carb, and researching that I found you and learned how to make it work for me. Thank you for your experience and sharing your knowledge with us. I have learned a lot. I have lost 22 pounds in one month! A long way to go but I started, and that’s a bigger deal than anything!

Thank you for sharing your stretch marks Thomas. My stretch marks have always caused me shame and embarrassment. After watching this video it made me come to realize that I may actually be able to embrace them one day rather than loathe them. I have been up and down with my weight for all of my 56 years. I am currently nearly 2 weeks back into keto, after over a year long relapse. Your journey is indeed an inspiration.

Much respect. This is exactly how far I have to go, 100 pounds... and it seems SO FAR away! Your story is very uplifting and gives me encouragement that maybe I can do it as well I do agree that fasting is the key. I could not agree more about stress and getting control over that first. Feeling great so far! You are amazing, thank you!

Thank you Thomas, This is possibly the most important video you could have made right now. Thank you for addressing the unintended development of eating disorders. Thank you for addressing the concerns of those who recently joined the IF challenge and some who just started Keto, who are going through a lot of mental struggles on you facebook forum. And thank you for being there, for me, these past 13 months, where I've seen 50+ pounds of weight loss, (with an intentional stall from May to November), but more importantly, a reduction in inflammation that allows me to move again, and be able get through long flights without my knees aching. You are an inspiration, and your team is doing a great job of making you presentable.
