Honestly, one of my biggest takeaway’s from this channel. When I see someone rolling down the road in a late-model, pricey vehicle, my first thought is really just about what amount of car payment the driver must be carrying around, killing other aspects of their life 😢
@om617yota8

I have that same thought when picking up materials at Home Depot in my 100% paid cash for $10k used truck, and the people in the $70k vehicles parked on either side of me are looking at me like I don't quite fit in. Guess what, I also paid cash for the building materials I'm loading in my truck, and invest more every month than they put towards their truck payment. They're right, I don't quite fit in, and I really prefer that.

I would love her to pay cash for a car and be done with all her worries but how pitiful of a car does she need to get. A lemon? A hooptie? A bucket? P.O.S? I am sure she could find a decent, reasonable and affordable cash car, I am just saying that pitiful cars come with problems too. Let's say she somehow comes up with 2000 to buy a car. She borrows it from family or something. She goes out and buys a pitiful car that "seems" to be in "decent" shape. What happens if something major happens to that car, an unforeseen issue that ruins the car. And I know, that can happen to any car but I am saying - it will more than likely happen to a high mileage car as opposed to something with less millage, in theory.
