Played the game on Extreme. Beat the game quick enough to earn Big Boss status. Got the good ending for enduring the torture scene. Did not use any Rations. Yeah DSP got owned by evilaj2010 here.

I credit this game as the first game series that had me hooked into the characters stories, it had me looking up to Snake as a halfway decent role model, it taught me how to read at a very young age, and it was the first game I ever completed on my own. I'm overly nostalgic about this game and I can't help the multitude of memories that go with it. I had to subscribe.

I'm 13 now but I remember when I was 4 I was watching my dad play mgs on the ps1, we did eventually get a ps4 a year after. But listening to the soundtrack and watching the gameplay was the best. I still watch walkthroughs and have played the game. Amazing 👏
I just finished my first attempted Big Boss run today, but I failed because somehow I was found 6 times. I'm amazed how the MGS community can have such patience and dedication for doing these kind of runs. I'm not sure if I even have the willpower to attempt this again.

***** Will you do Twin Snake? (Y/N) I've head an interesting theory about it. According to it, the game is cannon and goes between MGS1 and MGS2. The reason being is that this is Raiden's VR training playing as Snake (which match his acrobatic style in both MGS 2 and MGS 4). He also state that he did the Shadow Moses Incident VR training at the beginning of MGS 2. It's neet considering that sometime fan theory actually became canon like the James Bond codename theory.

I remember the first time i played this game, i had already played and beaten sons of liberty. In 5th grade I had a girlfriend (yeah i know), she had a relative that had old ps1 games and she gave me a bunch cuz he was giving them away. Being it not being the first MGS I played i wasn't blown away, but i was still happy with the game and kind of amazed with what they did with the PS1 limits, i can actually remember getting the game from her like "2 disks? What the hell?"
Thank you so much for the timestamps my man.
Finally my biggest question about this game was answered. Being able to obtain Big Boss rank while still saving Meryl. And amazing job on this run man.

Can we all give this man a thumbs up and love for doing this without dying on the hardest difficulty it took me 3 year to do that while dying
2:42:45 I can do this all day Ocelot said it before it was cool
The found times were the battle with Meryl in the cells, the stairway that is so long that MS3 ladder has something to say, battle in the elevator, and the battle in when going for Vulcan Raven. The being bound in the cell by the ill guard doesn't seems to count. The kills that I counted were three from the first Meryl battle, the two of the tank, the three on the bridge when going to the second tower, four in the elevator, three by going down to fight Vulcan raven, and the last seven in the escape part. I would love to try it, but I would have to do at least 3 more walktrhought to match this kind of ability, and I'm not that desperate. Good played.
not gona lie the funniest thing i ever saw in this game was that i forgot the threm g and could barley see with the cigs so i just yoloed it and walked straight through 1st try
