Give more of buttermilk... soft curd rice... cold milk... jaggery syrup. These prevent acidity. Pomegranate also helps.

One more suggestion why don't you (Sambhavana) sleep down or in another room with the dogs when Avinash needs you he'll call you. You can keep dogs away from him this way. There is always a scare of you hurting him in sleep. Ofcourse you know what suits you both. Get well come.
