I love I you.
now before you laugh or make fun of me, or just think I'm weird,
let me tell you what I mean by that first.
I don’t mean it in some fake, warm and fuzzy, sentimental kind of way.
And I’m not saying it just to be nice, or to look good, or to get you to like me.
What I mean is, at the very least, I only want what is good for you.
At the very most, I mean, i'll give myself, my life, in any way I can, for your good.
And I don’t care how I feel, or how I look, or what Im getting out of it,
or if I feel like it or not.
Love doesn't go this way.
Only this way.
And who are you?
Well you could be anyone.
my friend, my family, my spouse, person I like.
well thats easy, anyone can love the people they like.
What about the person I don't like, the person who doesn't like me, the person nobody likes,
what about the person I totally disagree with, the person who's completely different from me, there person I want to hate, the person everyone hates, the person who repulses me.
DOESN'T matter.
Love doesn't pick and choose who to love, just like the sun doesn’t pick and choose who to shine on, it just shines.
And what is your good?
Well it's all those little things that are gonna help us find the one thing that we all want, that we’re all searching for,
happiness.
as much as we can find here in this life, but more importantly, the full happiness that we can only find in the next life.
and I'll love you no matter what you do,
but that doesn't mean I’m going to love everything you do.
Love has to be tough, sometimes even fierce.
If you do anything that's gonna harm, impede, poison, delay or divert your good,
or the good of anyone else's,
I have to stand against it, not you.
Even if it's awkward, even if it's unpopular, even if it's gonna turn you against me,
for a little while.
But even when love is tough,
Love is always patient.
That's why we have a whole lifetime.
love is always gentle, kind, tender, loving,
never pushy, preachy, pointing fingers, rigid or mean.
and I don’t care what you’ve done, or how big you've screwed up, or how vast our differences are, or if your life is a giant, global sized disaster.
love is bigger than all these things.
And I don't care how worthless, or flawed, or unlovable, or insignificant, you think you may be.
love breaks through all these.
and if you get hurt, which we do,
or get into trouble, which we do,
or get beat up by the world, which we will.
and you're tired, and angry, and bitter, and miserable, and scared, LIKE THE REST OF US,
and feel like you’re, drifting all alone in a sea of, suffering…
ill suffer with you.
and if we disagree and get into those epic fights, which we will,
and even if you betray me, and laugh at me, and make me look stupid,
and walk away a thousand times,
Ill forgive you, a million times,
because nothing that could ever happen in this tiny little universe,
could ever be more important to me than you.
Not even myself.
This is what I mean when I say I love you…
but this is not my love…
my love is weak, and self-centered at best.
this is his love.
and he said, he commanded,
go out there and love one another as I loved you.
so I'll say it say again even though I know i'm gonna fail at it a million times today.

But when we fail we go to the one who is merciful and graceful, with our sickness of sin (Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Luke 5:31-32. You see we are sick in need of the doctor, Jesus ❤. So we will run out of energy when we are ridiculed, and start falling, but if we truly ask for forgiveness from our heart, he will be WITH US ready to catch us. So all we can do is keep loving ❤. I don't know you, I'm just a kid trying to follow Jesus, and I believe I am a lukewarm Christian who thinks about other things more than God. However, I believe God spoke through me as I wrote these words in this KZread comment, and I implore you to ask God from your heart for energy to help you love everyone, not just those who like you, but EVERYONE. So many people associate love with their feelings. It's easy to love someone on a good day, but love is choosing to stay and love somebody even on the days you don't feel like it or the days they don't seem so loveable. Love is absolute loyalty... it's a commitment to treating someone with the same respect or the desire to do right by them in spite of your feelings or how they might make you feel from one day to the next. We are all human. We all have bad days and choosing to be with someone through the good and the bad days is love. It's an action, a choice... not a feeling. It's resisting the feelings that make you want to leave or get even with them in an argument because you understand feelings are fickle. It's more about seeing the bigger picture and the long term goals rather than focusing on a miniscule fight or a fleeting feeling. It's understanding problems are always going to exist and not expecting perfection from another person or a relationships. It's holding your tongue and laying down your weapons. Let's face it, life is hard enough... love is a safe place where you don't have to fight.

And that's the message of the gospel. The fact that God came to us and loved us. Not in some distant or cold way, but cutting to the heart of the matter. He suffered with us. He suffered FOR us. I know that not everyone may believe this, but that doesn't change the fact that Jesus suffered for you. And he's willing to walk next to you in the suffering that may come. God bless

No you should not love your enemies. There are different situations in this world, there are killers, rapers, war-crimers, who did bad and hurt people, a victim has all the right to hate their abuser. You won't love someone who killed you child, or s/o, or family member, just because they could, just because they thought it's right to do it

@@Adrevenue1331the relationship islam has with God is religious legalism. But the relationship with God through the Bible is not meant to be legalism. The God of the Bible establishes boundaries and consequences to following or not following his love. Its a covenant. Not so much as an authoritive command, like a general. But like a Father. In islam, the only relationship you can have with Allah, is that of a master and slave. But the Bible teaches us that we are loved and not alone, because there is a father in heaven who cares, in a way we couldn't understand.
It hit me hard when he said that he has to stand against what is done or going to be done that is not good, not the person himself/herself. That part alone hit deep.
My ex sent me a clip of this a year ago, she left me, and coming back to this video it made me remember that nothing lasts forever even if you think it does

Rebuild movies are a lot more fun, i liked them more than the show, but majority of people hate them. I will one day rewatch the original series with my current knowledge of themes and all the stuff that makes it good.

I have legitimately cried in this video, I'm not going to lie, it changed me a lot, changed my perspective about "love", specially the part of "I'll forgive you a million times", because that was what I did to the person I loved the most in this world, except from my parents. It’s better to let it go and let God move you forward to new things. I’ve been there before and I give you this advice because I’m at the other side of my heartache. The only love that will truly satisfy you is Jesus. No romantic relationship will ever fill you the way Jesus does. Trust me, His love is more life-giving than anything.

Im a Christian, Not a catholic, not protestant, not orthodox or any of the denominations, Christian, i try my best to follow what Jesus taught because i believe its correct and i was struggling a lot, and i mean a lot because i felt i wasnt good enough, this video came in the right timing when i felt so hopeless Now i realize it. "Love one another as i have loved you" It means to be kind to eachother, help eachother, forgive eachother, its not just romantic platonic or any of that. I am not religious I didn’t know this was a religious video but out of every sort of advertisement, for lack of better wording right now, for religion this is the absolute best. It draws you in and gets you intimately involved with the topic before relating it to the religious figure and I was almost taken aback. I have a lot of issues understanding the emotion of love, and to think about learning how to love through the love of someone else feels right. Thanks for this thoughtful perspective. I started tearing up halfway through because after awhile I realized you weren’t talking about your love and then you confirmed my thoughts that it’s not yours but his. And I just cried because I don’t know how to love him back, It doesn’t feel fair that I can love him like how he has always loved me. I recently was in bed at night just trying to talk to God and feeling terrible and then I said “Why can’t I love you like you Love me?” I cried as I realized the answer and it hurt to think I didn’t fully love God because of the fact I raised the question into being as if I hadn’t already did.

I’ve been beat down by the world so many times that I stopped crying because it doesn’t even help anymore and I can’t even remember when I last cried but this reminder that I’m not alone made me shed tears of joy

@@polarwar28as someone who is still feeling the pain. No i dont hate them. I could never hate them. I hate that they fail to realize that they wasted my time. I hate that despite me wanting then to be happy its without me when i told them id try my best to do so. I hate how they just dont see the cruelty in making someone who willingly separated themselves from their emotions out of pain accept the risk of feeling them again and you warned them "please dont make me love you" and then just break things off right when you felt like telling them "for the first time in years you make me feel genuinely happy" Im not innocent i made my mistakes in our relationship and tried to redeem myself. But there is always this lingering grief and sorrow not neccesarily for what you had with them but for the fact that person leaving killed that version of yourself and now all thats left is a different perhaps more bitter version or maybe even a better person in general but remembering the lesson in the pain still will be forever.

@@polarwar28 I do. I know its not Christian of me, but I'm still angry at her. I'll probably never completely get over it. She promised we'd have a future together, then she left for no reason. I'll probably never date again, I can't trust what people say now.

@@polarwar28I did the same 3 years ago. I still beat myself over it. I realise that I loved him so much that it made sense for me to stay true to the love we had. I never speak of him negatively. Its the amount of respect you carry for the person. Just know that, if you wouldn't have done it, would you have stayed true to yourself and to him? Do you think either of you would have been happy? No right? Any break up goes through the initial anger stage. But they understand over time. I don't speak with him anymore, we lost all contact and he blocked me at one point. He unblocked me after a while and we still never spoke. There is a part of me which will always love him but not enough to continue loving him the way I did before. I am sure your ex would understand that too at some point and you will forgive yourself for hurting him. I hope you realise it much faster than I did❤️

Many things have happened to me this past few years and to say that everything is gonna be okay is a lie. Seeing this video has brighten my day up. Thank you for that mate 😊 I still am struggling to forgive others but more so to forgive myself for all the mistakes that I did. I overthink a lot and fighting againts my negative thoughts are exhausting.. But even then, I still try to make other people happy and let them know that I am here if they needed me. In the end, I guess all I want is to make other people happy and if possible, I want to have a deep bond with someone that ultimately brings happiness into my life as well

It’s just what I need. My girl and I aren’t the same yet we value each other so much. And our disagreements and long distance may seem long but our love keeps us going. Love is both love is not cuddling or talking about something or whatever it is sacrifice. Yes you can feel love but you need to be dedicated. English is not my first language
This is one of the best expressions of love that I have ever found anywhere on the internet. Most of the time it gets twisted in a million little ways but I feel like this is the clearest explanation of what true love is that I have ever seen aside from the Bible itself.

For a while I’ve struggled with the meaning of love. I decided it to be part feeling and part choice, but this captures it in such a different and beautifully simple way.

In all honesty, how you pray is only an outside thing. It matters not what’s on the outside, but on the inside. God knows your heart, He knows what you’re gonna say to him before you even think about what to say to Him, among all other things. Do not worry about not knowing how to pray, just talk like you would to someone else, and treat God how you think you should treat Him. And remember that He already knows what your answers, feelings, and intentions are.
