Jim Powell speaking. I grew up with this. The early 1960’s was the absolute best drag racing era period. You could work on your own car, take it to the track. Lay a few dollars down and run. It was that simple to participate. Cruising at night, jumping on it for a block or two. Stopping and talking with guys you did not know until you were both lined up waiting for the green light to come. Man, that was the best

They may look like old school racing but they all appeared to be automatic transmission not 4-speed shifting. But it's nice to see mostly all steel body cars. In 1963/64 I ran a '40 Ford in C then D gas and had the best eqpt at the time. I had about $1,000 total invested, that was the good old days.

Why do they only use pushrod engines? I understand its to relive nostalgia but theres some American DOHC engines.
