I wish that they would bring them back in nhra, sometimes I get a little tired of just seeing Funny car,top fuel and pro stock, which really pro stock isn't really pro stock anymore

I literally have lost all interest in NHRA professional class drag racing. It is all big corporate racing now and drag racing is a 1/4 mile, not 1000’. I’d rather watch nostalgic racing than anything today. I could care less if they’re not going 300 mph.

This is a interesting point, back then we were striving for more speed and power. Drag racing has reached the peak of power speed and Technology. Now we look back in history and find pleasure at watching history in front of us more than the Tech of today.

A lot of the new big money classes do seem to lack personality.

@@RPMArmy I road race bikes, vintage and current, I have more fun on my single cyl 540 Cafe racer at the track than the 1000cc race bike. 115mph vs 180mph lol.. cheers. A friend of mine Terry Hoard won the national in drag racing back in the 70s, he drove his Mazda, Samurai Warrior. After his national victory the drag racing association deleted his class. Sweet and sour for him..

I loved the video most of those cars were show pieces. I know a lot of tracks have such bad Internet people have to spend a lot of money to livestream. Most of the time it is just easier to video.

Wanted to go here last year during the spring nationals as I hadn't been since the late 70s. I wanted my wife to experience top fuel. When I saw the admission prices I was shocked to say the least. We didn't go and have no plans to ever go. Greed nothing but greed and its pathetic.
