My father is from Jamaica 🇯🇲, I’m glad as a kid we would visit every summer. Nothing like the food and the culture.

Omg I was in Wawa this morning and one of the cashiers was talking about you she said “I’m watching this van Leifer on KZread and she’s in Jamaica right now.” That stopped me in my tracks and asked her who do you watch on KZread she goes her name is nomadic introvert.. you mean “Nomi”… I am so proud of you. You’re becoming a household name with Van Lifers in RVers.🎉

What a treat to see the real Jamaica and not the “resort Jamaica” beautiful country with lush green plants and turquoise waters. Enjoy!

I love when the locals are tour guides. When I was on a cruise a few years ago we were in the Bahamas we had a local tour guide and he showed us areas that aren’t in the travel logs. 🇧🇸Enjoy and travel safe.

I’m so glad that you took us to the real Jamaica instead of some generic resort it’s so much more interesting to meet local people , enjoy the back roads and try all the different fresh types of foods.

Nomi, I like how you are able to take in the Shanti of Jamaica and still appreciate the raw beauty of the island.

Lot's of Jamaican's migrated to Panama, due to the canal and jobs. Some even brought our famous coffee to a certain part of Panama and planted it. Can't remember which area. Learned about it from KZread

I see you Nomi! I just returned from a resort in Montego Bay, which was beautiful, but we had a delightful driver take us to Negril. In short, it was real and absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our time there.The people, the food, the culture... just an amazing experience! ❤🇯🇲

Luv... I was a house cleaner from a woman of Jamaica 🇯🇲. She has the c watmest pure loving heart. "Em I know u clean 4 me I feed you sister... Spicy Jamaican beef patties... " They were soooooooo sooooo good.

When I was both in the Bahamas and Hawaii I friended many many locals just so I could see just how the culture really was. Not the amped up “tourist” attractions. You learn soooo much more! I also hope you read this cuz Americas test kitchen just did a recipe on authentic Jamaican peas and rice! Be happy you’re there … in WI it was -13 this morning … that’s not real feel or wind chill included. Giving my rv furnace a workout that’s for sure 💕

Nice! I was in Jamaica in November and was at the exact same spot where you learned about Sam Sharpe! I love being at the resort, but my favorite part of the trip is going out on the excursions and learning about history whenever I'm there.
