    Probably the torching of the iPhone 15 Pro Max affected the glass in a way that made the iPhone break. This year Apple did remove the steel plate from the back glass of the iPhone to the phone itself but that still does not mean that back glass is so weak that it snaps easily.

  • @johny.3218

    I feel like, based on watching a few videos, one cannot judge that every iPhone 15 Pro Max is not durable simply because these users are able to shatter the back glass easily. Also the best bet is to get a good phone case, and get tempered glass front screen and rear camera protectors. Then all one can do is enjoy their new phone.

    Apple tried to make the phone lighter by changing steel to titanium and sacrificed some structural rigidity. But people making too big of a deal out of it, like the video showed, for normal use the 15 pro is still plenty strong enough.

  • @BASNYAT

    @BASNYAT

    8 ай бұрын

    Well as I said, we should not just judge based on one video where the 15 Pro Max broke so easily. But yes, in the name of repairing, Apple did move the steel plate from the back glass to the phone itself so the 15 Pro Max back glass is slightly weaker.

    Regardless, the point is that people should not intentionally bend their phones. For proper protection and to reduce the chances of breaking, use a case. If you don’t like using a case, that’s fine, but deliberately bending the phone can only lead to one outcome.

    Because stirring the pot and getting bad results causes drama, drama equals more views to their videos, more videos equals more money and sponsorships at the expense of Apple. Moral of the story is we all get that glass will break when dropped or bent to far. Metal will bend/dent/scratch.... doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Drop tests are pointless and they are way way way to random. It may fall on the screen 2 out of 10 times based on how the person is dropping it in their so called drop tests... Point is don't drop your phones, use a case and screen protector if you really are prone to dropping your devices. Don't blame Apple because you can't hold onto your own device.

The fact that the teens couldn't break it isn't necessarily a testament to its invulnerability, but perhaps more a reflection of them not reaching that critical force threshold. • @BASNYAT

    8 ай бұрын

    What's up with the sim card slot issue, which isn't present in the US version? Without the sim card slot, it's more like a solid slab with no openings, which should make it sturdier. As mentioned, this relates to the steel plate that used to be on the back glass of previous iPhone versions. Apple has now moved that steel plate onto the phone itself with the iPhone 15 lineup, as they mentioned in the event to reduce the cost of repair. With the steel plate on the back glass, the iPhone 14 series was more robust and had less flex compared to the iPhone 15 series, which now has the steel plate on the phone itself. However, the 15 Pro Max is still not as fragile as shown in JerryRig's video. He torched it as well, so that could have contributed to what we saw in his video.
