Closed cell foam, works well in the north. Not that great in the south. Need open cell foam here

Can you guide me in the right direction on how to spray the underside roof deck of a slate roof. Customer is looking to turn attic into conditioned room. Is venting required?

Can/will mold grow on the wood between the wood and foam though?? I want to spray my historic home but terrified it will mold. My 3rd floor ceiling is mostly open just like this currently(top open like an attic but with floor, full size windows, normal stairwell, etc) and theres BIG temp issues.

Hey what size of chamber are you using?

how do you do that. I keep my gun clean; temp is 114, 5252 tip and about 1100 psi, and I can't blow that good, not like that, this is amazing. keep the videos coming. these videos are my only teachers. thank you, guys.

If you're spraying Demilec Highlift HFO 2lb foam (that's what we spray) you may want to drop your temps 8-10 degrees. Also try a graco 4747 chamber size and bump your pressure up to around 1200 psi.

Our temps are usually in the low 100s and pressure at 1100. Carlisle ST1 with a C chamber and 1.5 tip

It can help by sealing the cracks where noise comes in. If it's only for sound control then open cell foam would be the better foam option. Also consider rock wool batt insulation for sound control.

We’re in upstate NY. We see temps from below 0 in the winter to 80-90 on average in the summer. I have a feeling I know where these one is going 🧐

I’ve been helping a guy spray foam. We can’t get it level. I’ve tried all different spray patterns. Frustrating. Thought maybe it’s the gun, but it’s brand new.

@@BuIIetbird63 takes some practice to get open cell to lay flat. Shouldn’t have a problem laying closed cell flat though. Make sure all lines and screens are clean. And all the air holes on gun are drilled out and free of any debris. Also mixing chamber should be clean as well spraying a circular patter for the most part

Sometimes, it could be a matter of the heat not being right or the air pressure out the gun. I'm not sure what you're setup would be either, but some chemicals can handle a lower pressure (like 1200 not too low) on a P2 Probler, and it does help a little bit when you're trying to get a little more control. And, some chemicals spray better at certain heat ranges. BASF, in my experience, likes a nice 120° around here, but Ambiseal sprays better closer to 130°.

Hey Mr. Know-it-all, the top cord on the truss is getting sprayed on purpose. The intent for this customer was to cover the face of the truss. Take your trolling elsewhere!
