My name is Albeli Ritu and I love telling stories. When I was a little girl all I wanted was to do something creative and different. I didn't have the courage to do it for the last 27 years but finally, I have decided to be the hero of my own story. I came to the US in 2018 December and from 2019 I am sharing my journey as a KZreadr in America. I make travel and lifestyle videos in Hindi from America. I recently moved to London, UK and I am very excited to share my experiences and the whole journey with you. If you like this video don’t forget to subscribe.

Yeah....true.
As a New Zealand Maori, these are not museum pieces, these are our ancestors; and we have many stolen ancestors in that very same museum; it is distressing for us to see as these are living things to us.
There are a number of rare Indian artefacts in the British Museum, which if they weren't preserved they would have been lost through global flea markets. However, what is even more interesting is King Sahajan's Peacock Throne, whose value, as per sources, is greater than Taj Mahal, is now in Iran. It is said that the throne is combined with the Persian Naderi Peacock Throne. It's now kept in the national treasury of the Central Bank of Iran. Why do none of us demand such national asset to be brought back? Why don't politicians make a hue and cry about it? Why do we single out the British?
Feels proud to see our heritage but what makes me sad is ki these things are not at their actual places, the places they actually belong to😢 something should be done to bring back these things to India 😢

Very nice 👌 Historical products in museum! Really awesome items.
I am from Odisha . Jagannath Dham is beautiful. Pls visit the temple . I am currently staying at Texas USA
Thank you for showing the museum and our history
Happy to see this vlog. Genuine one as all ur vlogs. It's indeed looted can't name it anything else for sure!!
You guys are lucky, when I was there in 2008 they didn’t have any context or any markers. The signs just used to say “Hindu God”. All of the small metal statues are the statues that were taking from temples as loot or stolen secretly. Those are the statues that the main rituals would be performed on. In large temples they may be gold or silver and in smaller temples they would be made of panch loha.
Actually this is not museum this is chor Bazaar😂😂
Once few years back there was a speech/ lecture in Pune about Ornaments of Peshwa family. It was a huge number hundreds of Ornaments. Only description is available now. All the Ornaments are missing, surely all those must be there somewhere in Britain.
Absolutely loved the pyramid thing 😂😂 Been to this place, even it reminds of the NYC’s Metropolitan Museum!

I feel bad that those are stolen but on the other hand they make me proud that london is one of the most visited cities and peopel love london museums soo this makes me proud that london is actually showing indian history and millions of foreigners can see indian history,as not everyone likes to visit india because of bad condition and hygiene, they already had wasted all the money stonel from india on world wars only thing that can make them run the country are these...so i m also happy that peoe get to know indian history in a different country...and as we all know in bihar we have a beautiful temple but none is even trying to save that temples from decaying and rotting there are huge trees growing on temple but noone cares atleast they are keeping them safe...

I am very happy British people have taken care of our artefacts and preserved it and displayed it to the world. Had they not come to India we wouldn't have a clue about them. The heading of this clip is very wrong and of low mentality. If British had sold to third party and got money in return...then it'd have been appropriate to call 'looting'. There are still so many temples in ruins in present India and no body talks about them and forget about preserving them.
Don't forget that United India was separated in the past, including these countries, such as Tibbet, Nepal,Afaganistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan , Sikkim etc .
Like time square in new york do they have a place similar to it.please show me that.

Very thoughtful vlog.
One thing is clear. If those things are being remain in India, max items would have been missed or sold out privately. At least Britishers had displayed it safely in a building. So that as an Indian you could abel to see these.....

True, I have visited dozens of historical sites. They are not maintained well. If you visit Mysore palace and a few such places, you can buy old coins of the kings from street vendors. I found a few artefacts scattered here and there. We at least get to see our past through someone else's eyes.....
Explore Golgumbaz,south india
To call it a 'Museum' would be wrong, it's basically a warehouse with looted items. Mumbai-Delhi's chor bazaars are nothing before this place. It's undoubtedly the biggest Chor Bazaar in the world, except no one can take things from here.

The artifacts have been preserved beautifully, and it is good to see the UK sharing the history and stories with tourists from around the world, who come to visit. History is something we can learn from, not change. Every nation has good and bad memories, but we all should work towards a more positive future. Today, there are many successful Indians living in the UK - who are living a good life with equal opportunities.
@shreyajain789

Yes. They can have bad memories from history, but in present they should atleast feel apologetic for what their ancestors did. Go to Germany and you will know. There is genuine sensitivity around what Nazis did.

@@shreyajain789 True, but so many other countries like the USA, Portugal, Spain, France etc. were guilty of slavery as well, not just the UK. Every country has good and bad in its past. I'm sure plenty of people in the UK will feel bad about their ancestors' history - but at the end of the day, people living in the present cannot be held responsible for crimes which happened before their time.

They don't repent for all those plunder they did in our country or even have a little bit of remorse for the countless innocent lives they slain and this is evident from their pessimistic views of India that they have in their media. And still they have the audacity to showcase these stolen artifacts as souvenirs of their long gone colonial glory days. Yes history is something that we must learn from but labelling these stolen artefacts as donated is infact insulting the true history itself. The blood spilled, the deciet and the betrayal cannot be forgotten.

Now I understand why Brits have not restored Indian temples converted to mosques. If they restore, they have to replace the antiques in their original place.
chorika mal. well maintained
Shame shame!! How can they show off and be proud as robbers😂😂
Love from odisha
They have looted the actual wealth of India. This small portion which they have showcased is not enough at all. Our country is so vast and from every nook and corner they have done the henious act. Atleast 500 acre minimum is required to showcase our heritage and looted wealth.
Bhart ko sone ki chidiya ese hi nahi kaha jata tha.🙏
Read about Anglo mysore wars, you cited wrong statements about tipu sultan
Whatever happened is history now but if they have character & integrity remaining then they will return this to original owner. All those things that was looted over time. Imagine they did not even left a gold ring behind from a dead persons body. A company which had mere small office of five windows managed to collect wealth all thanks to Robert Clive.
Kya pta hum sbh yehi sochte rhe we are looted but ye bi ho skta ki those items are placed among the most valuable thing from the world, india mai waise bi apne kudh ke chejo ka ijjat nai krte hum log!
