No hate to the game, just easy day devs who wanted nothing but easy days apparently 😅 I can’t believe how much further ahead this game is than SXL. I even thought the first day of this 1.0 update that SXL was still slightly better, but as I kept playing and filming clips, it’s miles ahead.

i would love if the devs adds the JL character giving quick tips in some part of the menu.

Skating the mini ramp is a lot of fun but really hard to grasp, had to change a lot of settings to get a good flow going but I'm liking it so far, it has that 'one more try' feeling which is so addicting.

Make a new preset for the settings. Powerslides Friction - 0 Crouching/bank turn rate - 20 (max) Wheel grip - 0 Truck tightness - 4 Pump impulse multiplier - 20 Push force - 18 Push speed - 20 Grind friction - 4 Just a few that might help.

I'm actually having heaps of fun with session now in 1.0.... I played it a few times on and off in the state it was in before 1.0 and it was hard to get into... but I guess it was perfect for me cause just as 1.0 came out im starting to feel like I can play the game decently.... going through all the missions now. Also its funny that rock to fakie is the hardest transition trick. I love the look of smiths though

Pumping in a bowl is so much fun j figured out how to Keri your flow going without pushing. They need to work on dropping in while your standing being able to sit the board on the the coping

I am so excited to try the new session update and I have full trust in nacon to make consistent updates and improvements. :)

I just learned about the "up-down powerslide stance" by messing around with the polejam on the brooklyn banks. Never occured to me that THAT is how liptricks work. I was doing the 5050 input as my front truck passed the coping and failing miserably 😅

That means you are putting your back foot in the pocket (to the left or right) instead of straight down. When foot is in the pocket, pressing down will pressure flip, if back foot is straight down and you push front foot down, you’ll low pop

finally someone explaining it right, tried normal powerslides and was pretty underwhelmed by the new system. the up+down works decent, still needs work but the idea is good.

the inputs work really well for slappies aswell, doing the up down input releasing your front foot then quickly reapplying it and letting go of the back foot as soon as the front truck is over the curb. works for tails and nose slides as well you just need to powerslide into them.

transition and pumping are still in experimental first pass, so it doesnt work all that well yet :( just gotta try your best for now to make it work

Fakie Kickflip then hold the trigger (spin with the front of your body facing the direction you are going) while in the air push the sticks outwards to help complete the rotation

It took some time to get used to playing Session again after the update, and my grinds still aren't as good as before, but overall 1.0 is much better. Thanks for the tutorials and your Session efforts in general. Your videos are really engaging and informative. (Edit: how do I play as you? Or any other character besides the starting 8 generics?)

They should hire you for tutorials like Trials Rising did with the University of Trials KZreadr guy. He made the physics in that game so much easier to understand, like you do with this one.

I noticed that to get up into most copings of quarterpipes, I had to turn up my max push force a significant amount

So what the consensus on Front vs Back foot vs Left foot vs Right foot?

Ever since the update on 10/7/22 I can finally do 360 tricks with some consistency like I did in early access

They really got loosen up the timing on getting in that stance. Swear I get the inputs perfectly at the same time and I still do a lil Ollie and it drives me nuts

Woo! So happy to see this, been my main focus since the update drop. Absolutely loving the gameplay possibilities within these slides. Also have found small angles like Up Diagonal Right and Down Diagnol Left will activate the slides and allow some great angle entrances.

The other input to power slide (the one that is like the 5050 but you hit the trigger to turn) is not work it’s just making me turn slow, and yes my lip tricks are enable

Hey man, By chance did you get the Nate Rojas' line challenge? That's the only one I'm missing for all the historical challenges in NYC. I don't know what to do anymore with it... I did the whole line maybe 30 times now... Tried in goofy stance, regular stance, switch... doing the powerslide, sometimes not... Get into the crook at the top of the rail, then near the middle... this goddamn challenge don't want to register. I even finally get Thomas' Welcome to Hell Line, but Nate's one is a whole another story for me.....

Session should have different options for auto pump. Full = pumps in every transition like ramps, pyramids, kickers, bumps etc. Half = Pumps only in transitions like ramps and bowls (Somekind of threshold) None = Do it yourself When you start to ride fakie in a miniramp always I miss the pumps when the camera starts turning. In skater XL it's easier, cause the controllers always stay the same. In real life the the pumping is the easiest thing, but not in this game😁

No one has done a video on the DLC yet. Was going to buy the warm up pack but wanted to see if it was worth it first.

The 2 maps that comes with the deluxe DLC are amazing, hangar map is customizable and Peitruss has so much flow to the map. Defiantly worth getting if you are looking for new big parks to skate

honestly what I dislike the most about the update is regular stance which is my switch is way more consistent for lip tricks than goofy

Is that minibowl in the standard levels? Been playing for 2+ years in beta and still havent found it but seen it in heaps of your video's haha

You can sort of if you’re lucky but most times it causes some wonky things to happen or just drops you on the to the top. At least that’s what was happening here at this spot, if you go somewhere with less coping it works a bit better sometimes

You can lower the Powerslide Friction in the Advanced settings to allow you to Powerslide longer. It forces you out when you don’t have any more momentum

Powerslide into it like you would for the disaster but don’t rotate all the way, just a basic Powerslide input (sticks outwards) should get you close to where you need it (also make sure Lip Tricks are enabled in experimental)

I have two problems, I tried for a nose stall, but it keeps setting up for an Ollie. I also don't know how to get into any type of Grind on any ramp.

You have to push both sticks outwards at the same time (front foot up + Back Foot down) to enter Powerslide stance while going up, then release back foot just as you get to the coping. Also make sure Lip Tricks are enabled

It’s available for everyone, but the people that bought the game early on Pc and Xbox were Supposed to get the Brandlisted DLc for free.. which a lot of people (including myself) didn’t get.. the deluxe dlc was an extra cost for everyone regardless of if you bought it early (unless you were a Kickstarter backer that pledged 50$ or more, then you get it free… still waiting for them to send the codes)
