it will still look and feel like your reading off a screen. thats why kindles exist. they have special e-ink displays that have no backlight unlike a normal display that makes you feel like your reading off an actual page and can store multiple books

I did this and also turn on night shift mode and true tone for all my reading and my eyes still hurts. Maybe its time for an eink device

I did this many years ago with my phone and later with iPad when I bought one. But it still gives eye straining and pain. On the other hand, e-ink displays are perfect for reading books. It neither gives eye-straining, nor any other side effects such as migraine. Thanks.

I use black and white mode on my phone for when I’m over stimulated but still have to respond to any emergency messages. My kindle and kobo are for reading … they work better than a tablet eink and all
