David. Long time. Been going through it but I’m here. You look great. Hope all is well with you. My husband is Haitian ;as I am of Guyanese heritage so grew up on Guyanese, Jamaican and Trini food. Only hip to Haitian food the last 15 yrs and the flavors are on a different level. Been learning from his sisters. SOS Pwa, meatless legume/legim , Diri Jon Jon (black mushroom rice) my fav. So glad you touched on the history and voodoo is not what we think 🙏🏼. My husband’s sister & brother in law 2nd home in and retiring in Miami. Hubby just came in and said they ate at that restaurant. I rewound so he could your history and voodoo frames. David what did you drink in the consultation? Rum? Ok. She just confirmed Haitian rum. This next chef is deep. I have learned to make my own epis. I’m a fish filet kinda gal but must admit that fried whole fish looked good. David. This was an amazing, informative show. Thanks so much. Have a great weekend.

Woohoo! Thats amazing Cydney! I don't know how I missed this comment but I've been out and about, was exploring a new location. Thats so cool your husband is Haitian I didn't know that. Haitian flavors are incredible and absolutely it was so fascinating to explore the people and culture in Haiti/Little Haiti. Hope your husbands family and everybody is ok back there, I know things have been a bit rough there the past few weeks (an understatement). So grateful for your lovely well thought out comments and wishing you the best!
