I travel a lot for business, and complimentary hotel breakfasts suck. My go-to is the Sausage McMuffin with egg. and a cup of coffee (McD's makes some decent coffee for a fraction of what Starbucks charges). At home, I make my own. It is easy, and I have an egg ring to make what I call the egg puck.

I just wish McDonalds would bring back their breakfast all day deal. I miss going there during lunch.

I worked at McDonald's as a teenager and we didn't poach the eggs. We cooked them in rings on the breakfast grill. Also, did people really need a recipe? It's pretty easy to figure out.

That’s how they made the eggs there when I was a kid and worked there. I would make my own scrambled eggs for breakfast, cause I don’t like them cooked too long, oh to have a grill like that at home.

Still the McMuffin was always my favorite. When, we went through the last recession they changed their sausage and, now, I won’t buy no sausage biscuits now neither because, now it doesn’t have that little bit of red pepper in it, it now just taste so bland.

yeah, that McMuffin and McGriddle are pretty much the only fast food breakfast item I eat, and is the only reason I eat at McDonalds

I am an Egg McMuffin junkie! I used to by a bag and eat them through the day at the prison I worked at.

Do you know of Don Gorske? He’s eaten over 30,000 Big Macs during his lifetime & he worked at a correctional facility. He eats two Big Macs with Coca-Cola per day & nothing else.

Sausage McMuffin and Egg sandwich is my go-to meal before going to bed. Working third shift, I'd treat myself to this once a week. Their hotcakes and sausage is also good.

The sausage changed close to 5 yrs ago and, now the sausage is plain out bland! It was when, we went through the last recession and, that’s when, a lot of restaurants also going with a cheaper fish that doesn’t taste as good as COD, you can only get it at a few select restaurants now.

I have to admit the Sausage Mcmuffin and the Mcgriddle are very good. Especially if you're in a hurry in the morning and you don't have time to cook breakfast.

I could easily kill a dozen egg and sausage McMuffins … delicious 🤤

Classic Egg McMuffin is impossible to beat if the egg is fresh and not overcooked. Bacon, Egg and Cheese is a close second. The Muffin or biscuit options are way better than the McGriddle versions.

On a 24 hour fast from all food and I watched the 2020 fried chicken vid, cheap steak vid, and now this video. I am being tempted like crazy to break my fast and its midnight 😆.

Chef here... don't "poach" the egg (or steamed depending the location) . It's fried. You can get 4 rings for under $10 on Amazon that give you the perfect spherical egg. Add meat and American cheese. The mcgriddle is more complicated. But doable.

The egg would be cylindrical fried in a ring mold, but you're spot on.

Well deserved winner. The McD's breakfast has been the savior of many days of traveling and backpacking!

Everyone week I buy 14 sausage egg and cheese muffins and freeze them , 2 a day 45 seconds in microwave and youre off

A country fried egg, a slice of Spam Lite and a slice of toast.

The Egg McMuffin is the best breakfast sandwich ever created on this earth!!

Sausage McMuffin and a Senior coffee at my local McDs for $2.34. How can you beat that.

You wouldn't believe the breakfast sandwich I used to get off the roach coach that came to our shop in L.A. Muffin, sausage, ham, cheese & hash browns on English Muffins. Those were great

I read a few days ago that the egg McMuffin is made using Bays English Muffins, that help makes it a great breakfast sandwich!

Coffee holds me over all the time

Just stick a hash brown in my sausage McMuffin with egg and I’m a happy man.

If McDonalds didn't cut off their breakfast at 10:30 a.m. I'd easily weigh 500 lbs. Thanks Mickey D.

No lie there is this salty tangy sweet taste to it that goes along with the cheese. Soooo good.

I always get a double sausage McMuffin.

Sausage McMuffin with egg from McDonald's is the best

McDonald's sausage biscuit in all its forms is the best breakfast sandwich. Sausage is a subtle puzzle that needs the perfect consistency and level of spice, esp. pepper. McD's found that perfect formula; add hash browns and I'm good.

For the money, gotta go with Burger King Croissant, with double ham and cheese.

Chic Fil A Bagel Chicken and Egg Sandwich is real food. Hugh piece of Chicken compared to any other Breakfast Meat Competitors. Their Chicken Breakfast Sandwich can’t be beat. Throw in Chic Fil A Sauce on top of that and Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.

Never liked breakfast at mcdonald's and the last time I went there was a few years ago and got a steak bagel but my favorite when I was a kid was the Spanish omelet bagel

I was an egg McMuffin guy until I started eating the sausage and egg McMuffin. Chick-fil-A's chicken and biscuit is off the hook with a little Polynesian sauce. If McD's would put the 'round egg' on their McGriddles, they'd have a new best.

A hot cuppa coffee...or two...or three...is my favorite breakfast. That holds me until I can cook something healthy at home.

Haha i have an older car where the dash can be very handy for holding a bowl of cereal. I even have ate plate of scrambled eggs with sausage on that dash lol. I love the mcgriddles and McMuffins and they are realitivy cheap sandwich and could probably live on them.

I love me some Burger King Croissanwiches, but the McMuffin is definitely a better product. The actual egg makes the difference. And it's sad that Arby's just disqualified themselves -- because their potato cakes used to beat the crap out of McDonald's hashbrowns, but they recently hit the cancel button on that all-day goodness.

I'm partial to the Sausage McGriddle but the Egg McMuffin is a classic. The fresh egg is what puts it above the rest.

My favorite is the Bacon Egg & tomato from Grandys.

Last year, I bought two silicone egg rings and make 'McMuffins" before we go to work in the morning. No sausage patty. Others are on hand in the freezer and ready to go when heated. They great with less grease and always readily available.

The McMuffin used to be my favorite sandwich... For many years I would order a Sausage McMuffin with Egg, a Sausage McMuffin, and a $1 soft drink every morning... I would pull the smaller half of the English muffin off of the sandwiches and reassemble the sandwich with two sausage patties, two slices of cheese and the substitute scrambled type folded egg... I was in HEAVEN every morning...Then I took the smaller halves of the English muffin and slathered them with extra butter and strawberry jam.. Then a few years back about the time that the all day breakfast went into effect the quality of the muffins fell into the Toilet...It's my theory that they raised the temperature of the toaster to toast faster and all it did was burn them... I kept getting muffins that were burnt around the edges, soft in the center and in no way were toasted... What used to be a daily ritual turned into a nightmare... It's been nearly two years since I've had one... And I could never understand why it's official name is SAUSAGE McMUFFIN with EGG, but yet most managers, cashiers, etc refer to it as the Egg McMuffin with Sausage without fail... I know its a small detail... But WTF...

It is the best !!!!!!

I think if White Castle was thrown into the mix, the results might be a little different. I KNOW!!! White Castle??? Whodda thunk. Now, I realize not everyone has a White Castle in their neighborhood, but, if you do, give their breakfast sliders a try. Personally, I go for the sausage,egg and cheese on a bun. Look!!! It's a real egg!!! For lunch or dinner at White Castle, you'll really,really have to try hard to talk me into it. But, for breakfast, count me in!!!

My favorite is the sausage and egg McGriddle sub the round egg. The folded egg is liquid and the round egg of the muffin is the real egg.

Best breakfast sandwich is the Jersey favorite, Taylor Ham, egg and cheese.

A Sausage Breakfast Club from Triple O's is the most consistently good breakfast sandwich from any fast food place I've ever been to. Sure, the egg McMuffin is cheaper, faster, and more accessible, but I think everyone can agree that McDonald's is not the most consistent in terms of quality. Only downside is the Breakfast Club is more expensive, but I recommend at least trying it once.

My favorite is the Jack-In-The-Box Loaded Breakfast Sandwich. It has it all, it's at least TWICE as big as an Egg McMuffin and it's cheaper! The used to have what was just called The Brreakfast Sandwich which was about the same as the loaded sandwich, just on a larger sour dough bread. I miss that one. The Egg McMuffin is really good though. Just way too small and way too expensive.

The best fast food Breakfast Sandwich is the Wendy's Breakfast Baconator It isn't close, that thing is so good it might be the best fast food sandwich of the last 3 decades

Burger king’s breakfast burrito is unmatched

I love an egg mac muffin although years ago McDucks made their French fries like In and Out with fresh potatoes. That's when they were real McDonald's fries. Not today's frozen k-rap.

It's so sad here in the Mediterranean and mid East breakfast is only now gaining some ground. Maybe it's the weather. When it gets so hot you are not very inclined to get up and go about stuffed. So it's coffee mostly. It would be awesome if these were all day items though.

If you needed a recipe then something is wrong with you. On a side note the egg isn't poached is from the look of their egg its a ring mold and flat top stove basically the same place they cook your sausages or burger Patties. So they lied to you

what? McDonald's isn't that good. notice that all their food has that " McDonald's " taste? its called chemicals. the big mac has 52 chemicals in it. wendys actually cracks their own eggs....their croissants are buttery and good. it tastes like real food!!! and McDonald's is so damn expensive now and has anyone noticed their sandwiches have gotten smaller? seriously they're so small.

The egg McMuffin is not as big as it use to be, the bun was larger and the ham was thicker and the price just keep going up.

The egg mcmuffin is ok but I always thought it would be so much better with their folded egg. The egg yolk is mainly what I don't like in it. It always seems like it has sat around for quite a while. Their hash browns are nothing special to me. I prefer the round small hash browns like Burger King or Chic Fil A have. It isn't really a sandwich but Chic Fil A minis which are chicken on a small biscuit/roll with some honey is far better.

I eat a McGriddle once a week

If this is the best, then it bolsters my reasons for never eating at McDonald's, and tells me not to try any other chain's offering.

Agree....McDonalds has a great Sausage McMuffin with Egg and their coffee is very good. The breakfast plates are very overpriced for a fast food atmosphere.

And those hash browns are *disgusting* 😑 _BUTTTTT_ Wendy's actually has a bomb ass breakfast menu! _Seasoned potato wedges,_ *so good.* _Fresh cracked and cooked eggs,_ *delish.* _Honey butter chicken biscuit,_ *orgasm of flavors.* 🤤 Dunkin and Starbucks also have a solid variety of breakfast options that are all good as well. 😀
