Some people dont use all slots so they can put on more armor to increase defenses and poise while staying med load, then they just hardswap to a different weapon midfight. There can be advantages to 3 slot, but there are advantages to just using 2 or 1 for weight optimisation, especially at lower levels

Tbh it is counterable tho, just hardswap ailing talisman and focus raising talisman as soon as you see the crossbow, have boulsers ready and wearing solitude three piece despite I wear divine beast headpiece I still win almost every matche against sleep crossbow builds, it's not that gd in higher level duels but man it's obnoxious to play aginst

The only "skill based weapon" is the flail, and thats because its trash. Everything else can be exploited in some way, either trough cheese or design.

This build is your average US experience. No wonder it’s broken.

Instant sleep shotgun crossbow is still the worst. The status builds up through dodge, all at once, and you can be close enough for the Sleep evermore to one-shot them

One of those blues even severed to not give any estus. Gankers can send back blues/summons just before they get killed to deny estus, then deactivate and activate blue sypher to immediately get 2 more fresh blues.

Sleep (and madness) in general has no place in PvP imo because of it builds up AND proccs during i-frames, and boom you get free hits. Far more obnoxious than any other status effects.

Every video i see of an elden ring pvp video it makes me more and more disappointed in this game. Its honestly a great game overall but pvp has literally been neglected. They had a good poise patch with 1.10 then completely shit on it when the dlc came out + all these untested and broken weapons and set ups , it doesnt even make me angry , just pure disappointment.

Actually besides the sleep stuff, this is a concept I like, no hardswaps. Would have been perfect without duped starlight shards and raw meat dumplings too

the storm sword should send a projectile like the spell.

8/10 cancer rating. To get max cancer rating you need to let your victims suffer a bit until they come to terms with their inevitable demise. I'd suggest swapping to Dryleaf arts after the sleeping xbow and fully charge a Palm Blast as a finisher/the light at the end of their tunnel.

It is. You can easily get out of trouble with less skill(just spam roll instead of timing it). There are weapons that counter it in PvP but if you're not using those and not swapping, you're just fcked. Even on PVE it's strong. Malenia and the DLC final boss I've specifically fought naked because of light roll. Sure I could just learn attack patterns and time my dodges but that would take a longer time.

There is nothing you can do, statuses will hit through rolls in online play. Playing even more range than the bow player is the only option you have.

The best thing you can do against sleep, is to jump, even if you get hit and your fp gets drained, you'll not get staggered for a free hit

I do not think "hard swapping" is cheating but I do think it is more fun to play with only what you can equip.

Don't fool yourself. The most legit anyone is going to get using consumables is farming the initial supply of items before savescumming endlessly .
