The game plays nothing like this. This cinematic is so stupid because it has literally nothing to do with the game. Even the story will be trash without a doubt. This is just an amalgamation of Final Fantasy characters with WoW and LotR inspired lore. There's absolutely nothing cool about ripping off of established universes to create your own pathetic discount version. Cinematics only work on the unintelligent.

This cinematic is literally how the story of shadowlands should’ve been instead of this finding yourself amongst the souls and fixing life. We are in the dead realms, we lose in the campaign and somehow defeat denathrius but big bad jailer seemed almost impossible. This.. this is how it should’ve been

theres an event that gets your character to 1490 ilevel rn (kinda late game but nowhere near this raid) but still, if you dont find a guild or have a friend group to do raids with, you will be having a really hard time because the gatekeeping to raids its insane

@@dandaz3418 No, there's an event that gets your character to 1540, and helps with getting it to 1580, but thats a bit more work. Anyone can get any character to 1490 with MINIMAL effort. Its basically free. However, thaemine does look fun and all, but realistically, you wont be playing him for atleast a year since you start the game. It is that much of a gap between a new player and this raid. There are other fun raids too, dont be discouraged, but keep in mind, as its an MMO, its a massive grind. Cheers

honestly, the only thing that isn't that approachable in Lost Ark is the end-game raids, and I think casual players will have a great time playing up to that point anyway. My first 100 hours in Lost Ark was mostly main quest / side quest / island adventures

@@Developesque For sure man, all these express pass and events are really helping, and they doubled raid drops for the first 5 runs, so you don't need to grind a lot to finish your gear set either. For the new Aeromancer class that came out, I got to ilvl 1540 in about 2 weeks, and I played about 6 hours a week. The game is definitely heading towards a good direction, and I think it's already in pretty healthy state.

For me? Raid triler was just perfect, I love when bosses in games are evolving crazier and crazier due to power they held at cost of own sanity

If lost ark had zero p2w it would unironically be one of the best games in the world, and definitely at the top of it's genre.

you can skip to punika and they are giving free boosts to 1580 in kr. It's frustrating how in the west they are very stingy with boosts. The game should have released with vultan and free boosts. The leveling experience is terrible. Wow has much better lvling experience

Wait what , i feel like i'm the only person that has a completely different experience with this game, i'm very casual , 1-2 days a week when i got time , usually sundays and a bit on mondays to finish things off , i play 1 character and have 1 alt to finish off the weekly quests for the gold boxes , i was able to do akkan week one , cleared it week 2, never swiped (except for a 20euro skin :P), i find this game EXTREMELY f2p friendly, but do note that i have come from game's like Blade & Soul where if you don't spend 10k a year no amount of grinding will get you to see the latest content. So i would call Lost Ark baby's first p2w xD

They already cut daily grind in half. Guardians are 1 a day and chaos are twice as fast. Chaos gate/ghost ship/secret map are being reworked into 1 thing. Solo legion raids are also being worked on for casuals.

all that's done. you now get huge honing boost, and raid drops are doubled for the first 5 runs. To craft all your gears, you only need to run each raid like 2 times total. With the new express pass, you can get to 1540 in literally a week or 2. Oh, and this Fate of Ember thing drops from Chaos dungeon and guardian raids, which is a big loot lottery that can drop as much as 100k gold. It's a pretty fun gamba system, and I've been enjoying dailies quite a bit since.

i'll put this here made by saintone about the raid difficulty G1 and G2 aren't meant to be cripplingly difficult (against Thaemine's captains). It's meant that you're able to actually complete them without fatigue weekly. On the other hand, there is a severe difficulty spike starting from G3. It's not meant to be completed without great trouble, even on subsequent clears. The fights against Thaemine himself will introduce new types of patterns and mechanics that they haven't used in previous raids. Thaemine's G3 is comparable in difficulty to the initial prog of Brelshaza G6. However, Brelshaza G6 was mechanic/gimmick heavy, whereas Thaemine is more heavy on normal pattern (high complexity regular attacks). Thaemine's G4 on the other hand is on another level of difficulty beyond either of those. The developers believe it'll take over a week for the first clear to appear (for reference, Brelshaza's first clear took 3 days). They think it'll take 2 days for people to arrive at the 3rd gate. Gate 3 has three different phases within that gate according to one of the developers. The group that defeats Thaemine first will actually get a special reward. They'll be recorded if they're able to defeat him in the first week, and there'll be something else (unmentioned). This is the very first time they're doing a first clear kind of thing for something that wasn't a Hell Guardian. A unique title reward will be given to the first 10 groups that can take down the boss in the first week. There is also a special trophy and statue for the stronghold for the first ten clearing groups. Three types of rewards based on your placement.

This looked sick af. I would start playing the game BUT i heard that it is impossible without spending huge amounts of money or years of your time...

I think Korea is even getting an event to choose 1 character to get weekly lockout materials at like 4x the rate. They fixed a lot of that + new accelerated servers are coming to help newcomers catch up to newest content. It's essentially a fresh start for everyone that after 6(potentially lower if people are faster) months lets you transfer to main servers.

not really, they always nerf the honing that is required, right now its super easy to get to 1580 with all the nerfs to honing and the hyper express, and thats literally the latest content for free. I never spent a dollar on progression and I always do latest raids on release.

I came back after the changes to one guardian a day. Great pace now

One thing I appreciate about Asmon is that he actually gives a shit about knowing things in Lost Ark. Which is really cool. Is LA one of his more played games again or no?

i've been playing lost ark for about 2days now and wow they've changed a lot specially honing gears. they made it bearable to actually hone without spending a dime f2p. my main which i left during launch sits at around 1415. i created a new main and now with all the free honing they provided u can easily get to 1540 it's great 👍🏻 i hope they make more improvements in the coming days. and to the old believers of this game including me try playing now. rekindle that fire and maybe you'll love it now.

You get a power pass that instantly levels any character to 1415 then there is the express event pass that you equip to a character between 1415 and 1540 to help you hone to 1540

May we remember, in 2001, "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" - computer animated characters with hair was so expensive for a movie, they used animated hair only for the main character!

Reminded me of the blizzard cutscenes from wc3, really good and cool done, but yeah storywise and öore wise blizzard did such a good job Developing all there known characters

The game has a lot of problems, but they are going in a good direction especially with grinding and fomo problems, they alredy made some changes to the daily grind and a lot lf QOL changes thath help new and mid level players, this game has the most insane combat and raids i have ever seen it's crazy, hopefully they keep pumping these good changes

​@@radoslav2913 No you wouldnt, and you know it - its just an excuse. Asmon never knew much about pheons, as he never played the game as F2P. Pheons were never needed and were an optinal route, and not an optimal route to obtain gear. I have 1222 pheons and i never bought a single pheon - i dont even have use for them. On top, some time ago, they made a change and since then, you can actually send acessorries and stones between alts. That means you wont ever have to buy pheons. You dont even need pheons now ( not mentioning pointless gamba for 9/7 stone )

bruh my first impression from the boss's aesthetic concept design reminds me of the First Hassan from FGO

I apreciate when the villain and/or the hero don't spend the whole fight talking, overexplaining their motives and excuses about why they fight. They know each other, they know what they have to do, so everything else that has to be done is fight.

2 min cinematics are awesome so make more.

I remember the only time Thaemine ever talked was when he was looking for the Ark in Feiton but backed out cause he said that it wasn't there.

On the pay-to-win comment: you can 100% p2w. However, I'm f2p. I'm 1588 in Akkan (latest raid). I don't play every day and I don't do my raids every week but I'm still in end-game. There are not many groups for hard akkan because majority of the playerbase doesn't pour money into p2w. Can you compete with someone in raid who is p2w - if they know what they're doing then sure it'll be hard to out DPS someone who has gone ham. But you'll largely just want them in your parties than dislike them tbh.

would love to play lost arc again, when i can progress playing 1 character as fast as people progress playing 20

It was also a big turn off for me at the start so I ended up making 6 characters with the same class and build. I still wish they'd increase the weekly raid gold lockout from 3 per character to 18 in total, and be able to replay raids more than once per character but would maybe discourage people from trying new classes.

Play fresh start man...should be fun.

Honestly the only problem i have with lost ark is just that its too damn hard

I have 1490 arti as my main that hasn't seen Brel because raids do not grab my attention but I will return to play the campaign for sure. This trailer was epic.

lost ark has a kinda manga feeling to it and it can be nice for a change in anyone's ''mmo rotation''

Wow okay people in this comment section seem to have lost a family member or something to lost ark the way they discourage people to play it lmfao try it if you'd like, form your own opinions, and have fun! its one of the more standout mmo's i would say a few downsides i would say is that vertical progression is quite steep, and gatekeeping in raids is rough so try to make some friends and form a static group theres lots of issues with the game, as with any, but theres great fun to be had as well (also i like dressing up my characters and eastern mmo's cater to that more for me)

I saw some folks saying that this is a Shadowlands cinematics copy, but other than rock throwing, and one guy looking a lot like lich king, it's nowhere close to same. Also, in terms of the characters and story goes, this cinematic is much better as the fight is actually on equal term, not a one sided bullying that results in making one of the most bad-ass character/boss look like a loser. This cinematic makes the good guy look badass. It also makes the bad guy look badass. AND it also shows a bit of reveal (how the bad guy under the helm also has silver hair just like the good guy, making players be curious on who he really is (and how he is related to the good guy). This is cinematics done right. Sure, the character model isn't perfect, and the animation is a bit off (early combat), but holy shit, Blizzard can really learn from this.

imho game looks f-n good, but the gameplay and balance is sux. When i played with friends on release i played mage and my bruh played (dont remember the class). And the most were is that i had some supercast like supernova with 178924916 hours casting time and same cooldown, while friend had a regular skill that were doing literally like x4 of my superskill dmg :D

game is not balanced around early game (like pre tier 3) once you reach tier 3 its when the game truly starts, once you have your engravings and the necessary stats the way you play changes completely, this games has many issues but the combat legit is one of the best thing that it has, there is also an event that boosts you straight up to lategame rn so if you want you can try your sorceress again but this time geared and you ll see how different it is (still wouldnt recommend to play unless you have a friend group or you find a guild cause the gatekeeping in raids its insane)

What I saw: -Devs investing into cinematics when the game is struggling -Greyscale VFX on a greyscale environment -A lot of VFX clutter -both pizza and annoying random bullet hell at the same time

Funny how the only not pw2 thing in Lost Ark is PvP arenas , and nobody plays them, speaks volume . Btw it was fun as hell for me, too sad it's dead

This is Sephiroth from FF vs Lich King from Warcraft, and at the end you see the Eye from Lotr...hmm

I havent spend any money on the game and I did every single raid on release. of course the game is without a dubt p2w (mostly on kr, global is way less p2w) but you can easly enjoy tha game as f2p. game never puts a hard wall and prevents you from having fun.

Arthas is Darth Vader. This villain is a super cheap Arthas and in the end a cheap korean Vader.

I love the part of the cinematic where thaemon first appears and bis first attack just nukes all those F2P andies up front

guys, lets be honest here..... the final boss main theme should be Bury The Light

It could be Sephiroth, Fulgrim, or Grifftih? Who has hair like that? Arthas has some badass facial hair, not some sissy or pretty boy.

It's really funny how similar it is to the shadowlands cinematic. They even shatter the helmet!

the big takeaway is that its a teaser because alot of lore divers are speculating that thaemine is the father of the silver haired guy(kadan). i think their showcase of that was tease it or elude to that.

lost ark im begging you put this much energy at banning and keeping bots away😭 last i logged on i saw no real people only keyboard smash names

If I wanted to play lost ark and have a decent time playing the game. How much money would I actually have to spend? Serious question.
