    Why? Plenty of national teams are in this situation: they have players who pretty much clean the benches at some club, but they're still the best those national teams can get for a position, so it makes sense you'd see a player play more for a national team than for his club. Not every national team is full of first team players at their clubs. Many even get players from lower leagues.

    This is weirdly consistent with his time at Liverpool. The guy would always manage to come back from injury just in time for the international break then subsequently be injured a game or 2 later with would put him out till the next international break

    I am really surprised how much international coverage this is getting, I am not used to that at my club lol What should be noted is that we have a pretty big injury crisis going on at Werder, so he is not only a bench player with a full squad, he even is one when almost anyone else on the bench are kids to fill the seats. But honestly there is no other way. During the last international break there was a friendly, which I didn’t watch because obviously but all I heard about it was how bad Keita was in that match. Normally I wouldn’t care for performances in friendlies but with his limited playing time, to put it nicely, that really was a chance he should have tried to take but according to those unanimous accounts, he blew that spectacularly. To justify such an attitude you have to prove the coach wrong whenever you get an opportunity but he was never good for us, so that is it. I find it hard to imagine him finding another club at that level because injuries unfortunately really weren’t the only issue

  • @MrShadowRaiden

    @MrShadowRaiden

    shows injuries have fucked him but what will fuck him even more is his attitude long term. Ross Barkley had similar issues but has buckled down and worked on it and is now 1 of the best deep lying playmakers in premiership and 1 of the few reasons Luton have even a chance of staying in the premiership to me that is a sign of a good player who takes the hits of "life" and still works hard

    Zealand talking about my club? Is it already christmas? First of all: No, we are sadly still in threat of a tough relegation-battle, but if we manage to stay up this year we have a promising future ahead of us after the new investor deal and the new initiative to put all our focus on youngsters like Aroen-Hansen or Alvero. What people from the outside obviously don't know about the Keita-situation is that he has a very performance-related contract here in Bremen. For every minute he was on the field, he earned more than basically any other player club. That's why he didn't get alot of minutes when he wasn't in good condition and let's be honest: He never was in any good condition so far this season. The last time he played, he made with his first pass of the game the fatal mistake which ended in the game deciding 2:0. I really don't know why Keita expected to be just two weeks after that in the starting line-up against freaking Leverkusen of all teams but here we are. We had very high expectations in him. Sad to see how this turned out.

    Not an error as such, the guy could have been awesome, but just lacked the physical and mental strength to fulfill his immense potential. He'd have spells in games where he looked world class, score a stunner, then a few minutes later give the ball away or trip over a blade of grass and have to come off with a muscle strain. They are things when buying players you can't prepare for. Liverpool rarely buy established world beaters but buy players who could be if they develop right, think Suarez, Salah, Mané and so on.

    This happens a lot with Liverpool players that leave, I think Klopp is such a good coach that he makes players look far better than they might actually be. Henderson, Fabinho, Firmino, Mané, Keïta, Coutinho, Wijnaldum, Shari, Origi, Lovren, all have fallen off to varying degrees. Now granted some left already with their powers on the wane, and some still could play at a decent prem level, but none are capable of the title challenging form they achieved under Klopp

    As a fan of Werder Bremene, I feel for him but also dont. He looked good the first couple times he was subbed, then got a chance to start and did practically nothing. After that he was injured, and couldnt play for us but at the same time went to AFCON and played decent minutes while we he had told us he was injured. Then after Guinea were knocked out, he miraculously couldnt play with us again. The whole situation has me mixed, because the whole AFCON thing did make it look like he was lying about when he could and couldnt play, and the leaving the squad bus in our most recent game is obviously bad. But i feel for him, ive watched this club lick the ass of this manager who doesnt give anyone the chance to prove themselves and sticks to age and players who have been in the club the few years hes been there. Every player no matter how good they are pretty much has to wait a year into the time at the club to be played as much as they deserve. And the more players rumoured to want a departure this season, prove that the locker room isnt happy with Ole Werner anymore and now Naby Keita might be gone. Im not too upset, because the constant injurys and illness (assume they are all bad enough to warrant not playing) but still dont think he was ever given the proper chance because of Ole Werner and the clubs management as of later and general feel around the club cant have helped motivate him. Sorry about writing my life story, or more accurately Naby Keitas, but got to get it off my chest. Funnily enough, during AFCON Werder had phenomenal run of form with the 2nd best start to the ruckrunde behind Leverkusen. Now it looks light we might be relegated. So be it tbh, club needs heavy changes and at least i should see the club win more

    Thing is, at Leipzig he really was fantastic. Bundesliga Player of the season, no contest. And he was only 22. I do hope somehow he can find that spark again. Werder knew they were placing a bet here, but they have done that before - like when they signed Johan Micoud who was deemed to be past his peak, but he would be their guiding star for four seasons. If the Keita signing had worked, they'd have been hailed as geniuses. It did not, and apparently Keita has to shoulder quite some of the blame. Oh well. I understand his frustration. He either didn't take care of his body in a way he should have as a professional athlete and is broken beyond his years, or he has a mentality issue and calls in sick whenever he doesn't feel like showing up. Why would Clemens Fritz sign the guy, just to make him a bench warmer and tarnish his reputation. I'm sure Bremen could have used the money they paid him very well for other signings.

    I do wonder sometimes whether these players that have consistent injury issues should literally just take a year off, they have these obvious cycles of muscle injury, rehab, come back, play some game, not match fit, different muscle injury. Maybe physios coaches etc. are better off just looking at it and going, just write them off for a season, no games, light training at most, just build strength, fitness, flexibility etc. over a year. Obviously players want to play and get paid and careers are short, but surely a year not playing to then have some good solid seasons is better than stop start, bit part seasons injury to injury. I also think people always forget about the mental side to this, yet his attitude is not great, but can you imagine the amount of times the guy has got injured, the amount of hours with the physio doing rehab exercises (anyone who has done that knows how much of a grind that sort stuff is) over and over again, only to make it back to playing and go down with something else. That is going to sap the determination and will out of most people.

    He had all the potential to be a great player, however it's seems his mental attitude did not match his ability I think the mentality of a player is one of the biggest career killers so many players who could have had fantastic careers at the top level end up washed up because they don't have the right attitude or think their talent will speak louder than the hard work that is actually needed to remain consistent at top level, dele Ali is another prime example of this he could have been something special but he began to slack off didn't put the work in and abused substances to try and resolve his personal issues Jessie linguard the same and even Marcus rashford hasnt developed into the type of footballer he could have been Daniel sturridge was plagued by injuries and seemed to give up and injuries doesn't have to end a players career or make it go on a downward spiral if they actually have the mental strength to get through it. There's so many could mention but they are ones that spring to mind immediately

    Hey guys, I don't know about you, but for some reason I just don't think we should nag Z about running. It had a good...run, but it seems kinda played out now. Time to let it die.

    good videos, i would not even have found it without seeing the thumbnail by accident, your video names really are holding you down, with zero informations in the video title, its very unlikely i click it xD i mean ... you sabotage urself with these titles xD

    Man, I feel like if you're be completely unprofessional and consistent injured, you should at least be as good as Neymar. But alas, you're not. You're Naby Keita. Stealing paychecks for the last half decade.

    Since you chose to be vague in ur titles, maybe get to the point. Do u realise every new viewer who clicked on this thought the following "This is clickbait but I'm curious what it's about. Oh marathons, I have no interest in that. I'll make a mental note not to watch this marathons channel next time it gets recommended."

    Naby Keita haa never been a good player. He's not a DM, not a AM, too lazy to be a b2b, injury prone. Perfect example of an massively overrated player. And now he's earned his money, it's down tools time. Typical footballer really.
