I’m a big fan of female artists but usually bc of my own taste don’t usually love the more pop and pop adjacent singers, but I actually really like Billie Elish. I feel like she’s an example of how to do your own unique thing within the mainstream. Like I’m not reflexively against mainstream music bc get that bag, I just don’t like how a lot of times they have a cookie cutter sound that’s made to appeal to as many ppl as possible. I’ve hoped that Billie being successful means more artists with their own vibe can get big. Like anytime an artist makes interesting music and pops off I’m happy bc that’s how you get more interesting music made.

As a metalhead, there is a vibe to her music that feels metal in some way. The music itself is FAR from metal, but there is an underlying current of metal or punk that really hits. I think its just the desire to make you question and make you uncomfortable. Either way - I love it. If you understand and appreciate music, Billy is amazing in all her complexity and simplicity.

@@Potato_BugI be never had the night hag. But I always feel like there's something sinister in the room, ice seen my son in the room and other weird shit when I've managed to slightly open my eyes. But nothing there when I've managed to fully wake. And it's so hard to wake yourself up and sit up to get out of it. Because if I don't sit up and make myself fully wake, I just go straight bk into it. It's so scary. If I've had hardly any sleep or ALOT of stress it tends to happen most. Duno if your friends the same. But I have PTSD from childhood trauma. My therapist said it's very common in those cases. But not always the case. I feel for your friend. Teardrops is oli's reference to it. He gets the hag syndrome too and he's been through a shit ton. Much love to your friendm and tell her they do happen less and less the older you get.😊

I think the softness is part just her own natural voice but also partly her biggest inspiration - Aurora. Aurora is a young Norwegian artist and in several interviews, Billie stated that she heard Aurora's Runaway and that was what inspired her to become an artist herself and follow her passion. Billie and Aurora are very different artists in different genres but I always felt Billie's propensity for soft vocals came from her love of Aurora. Aurora is an artist I highly recommend. She is a rare soul. Def check out more Billie though! I recommend: The End of the World (BBC Radio 1 Sessions) Lovely Ocean Eyes All the Good Girls Go To Hell Bellyache Hostage I Love You

She is my fav artist and person ever. She defently has her own style and her voice is magical. Finneas her brother also the producer, both of them make such bangers. She has 7 grammys and won 1 oscar award. I have been a fan of her since she was 15 years old she is 22 now. She really changed my life for good and Im glad. She saved me in every way a person could be saved, she has so much impact on my life. 7 years of being her fan and sadly still I never seen her live bc she dosent come to my place and Im too broke to travel somewhere else. Her songs are all so good but my fav is " I love you " idk It just has that emotional feeling to it and I can relate to it a lot. If one day I will meet her, I would tell her that she is my hero and she was and is there for me when no one is, and she helped me get through so many things and ofc I would hug her so tightly bc thats the one hug I need in my life. And Im here for more reactions to her songs.

Big Billie and Finneas (BiFi) fan here. There is a reason that by 20yo she had 7 Grammys, 6 MTV, 3 Billboards, 3 Brits, 2 Teen Choice Awards, 4 Nickelodeon, Golden Globe, People's Choice, and an Oscar for her James Bond song. I think she will get her 2nd Globe and Oscar for her Barbie song in 2024. It's funny how famous 'Bad Guy' made her but it was just a goofin' song, not serious. Check out her newer songs; NDA, Happier Than Ever, and 'What Was I Made For. Her 3rd album is due out soon. Even her debut EP 'Don't Smile at Me' was better than most albums in 2017. (She was 15.). Recently her cover of 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Cmas on SNL last month shows her jazz talents. Lot of us fans want a covers or jazz album. Thanks HH guys. Like other said, she and her brother are a once in a gen duo.

Prior to Ren, Billie with this album was the last time I really got excited about a new artist. I heard this song for the first time in a Trader Joe's of all places and was stopped in my tracks. I had to find out who it was. Then to find out she was only 16! Just incredible. And that she was only 14 when she released her first hit, Ocean Eyes. Might be worth listening to that one to hear the progression.

She and her brother did this entire album in his bedroom (there's a Carpool Karaoke episode where she shows the room). Their parents are in the movie business, but they're not huge names or anything. They might have had contacts to help and get the music out there, though. But whether their parents played a role in getting her music out there or not, the talent is still undeniable and she could have easily become just a one hit wonder. But she didn't, she's a huge star.

It's worth checking out "Therefore I Am." This song hasna lot of bass, and so worth a listen to when y'all have a chance. Great reaction! Fun watching y'all react to Billie Eillish and going down this unexpected and unpredictable rabbit hole.

I remember when I found this song. I saw it in the vevo app on Roku and it was in the pop playlist. then I hated pop but the thumbnail intrigued me so I watched it. I was super surprised by it and ever since then i've been a huge fan
