    I will have to think about getting that. It looks really cool and compact enough to fit my apartment. And I could use the distance control practice as needed during these cold months and even during the season. Thanks for this review Kennie.

    This has got to be one of the coolest golf trainers i believe i've ever seen. I think just being able to stroke 50' putts (with the proper stimp reading #'s, of course) is probably one of the most helpful things you can do. Everybody can 2-putt from 10'-15' without hardly any practice, but it takes real skill to 2-putt from long range. And the pros do it with such regularity that it doesn't get nearly the attention it should. Awesome, i may have to buy one.

    I commit to practicing at least 30 minutes a day. I love it because I can really focus and you don’t usually have 30-40ft areas on a public green to practice.

    The EXPUTT RG is great, have been using it to dial in speed control in the winter months here in the north east. Learning what a 15 foot or 30 putt feels like in your hands helps a great deal

    i always find the worst thing about any sim is the putting!! it always just reminds me of putting on wii sports golf! i wish there was a way they could unify that grid system so it actually represented something concrete regarding the break degrees or percentage of the break would at least give you a frame of reference for aimpoint or something that would be real and concrete. otherwise it all seems really random. i just use a wellputt mat and putt out trainer inside with the aim of hitting it straight everytime. thanks for your great content and good luck on your ongoing quest to get better at golf!!! greets from canada.

    Without a depth of field, it has to be almost impossible to create an immersive experience. Im sure someone will make something with VR that can bridge the gap. Thanks for commenting!

    The Exputt RG does improve on the first gen Sim, and it has potential for online play and I really like the ability to change slope or slant. While I agree it’s not the same as being on a real green, where I feel it could help is decreasing your putting averages. It’s nice to be able to put at home and get stats… it’s all about data!

    If I could play online against random people that would definitely increase my time spent practicing.

    I've just bought something similar but much cheaper. It doesn't connect to a TV and uses a force meter rather than a camera. The puttist distance trainer for £50. It just gives you a distance. I'm liking it.

    There are a few different devices out there in the market, but anything that helps you putt more is probably a good idea.

    I am sure it has benefits, but practice real green is where it is at but then long putts are not my issue, and I am going to take care of more detailed stats this year

    Based off your review, I just ordered an Exputt. Out of curiosity, how has your putting changed prior to the Exputt (e.g., before January ‘22) to now, about 4 months later?

    My speed control is MUCH better. I’ve gone from averaging about 1.4 3 putts per round to roughly .8 per round. It definitely helps because I’m able to practice more.

    @@KennieKatGolf wow, that’s huge. Off the reduced 3-putts alone, you’re saving 0.6 strokes. I imagine that you’re saving at least another 0.4 strokes from more 1-putts? If so, a 1-stroke improvement is pretty big for a training aid. When you’re putting for real, do you walk off every putt over ~10 feet? That way, you know your stroke length for each distance.

  • @KennieKatGolf

    @KennieKatGolf

    I do walk them off for stat purposes, but I don’t consciously correlate that a type of swing length. I just look at the target and react. I’m sure practicing specific putt lengths on a simulator helps me make the connection.

    @@KennieKatGolf thanks for your answer! I agree, we only have 95 up here but it's still nuts. May I asked another question: Is there any subscription free or is the access limited if there is such? I see on their website a section 'membership' but I can't open that part of the website and I can't find any information about that on the website as well.
