I never realized how well placed that “This is awkward” was. Even if Nat survived I don’t think we would’ve gotten to see any of their relationship.

If you have to send some avengers to an unknown planet which is known to be dangerous, where even Thanos mentioned some sacrifice and Gamora didn't return, you will send Thor who is from space and most likely to survive any danger or Hulk who survived going to space, or Tony stark who could solve any problem they had with ship etc. Or cap who is super soldier. But no send Natasha and hawkeye to the mission with most unknown and danger.

This is exactly why the govt should never have control over avengers. The entire universe is on fire and all ross can think of is some stuff part of avengers disagreed on. The govt in this universe was corrupt and fucked up and ross being a part of that system vividly shows their inability to rise above their ego.

It's an accurate portrayal.

There will never be a better Captain America than Evans. He embodied Steve Rogers so perfectly and he truly became Captain America in my eyes. I know Sam Wilson is Cap now but Evans will always be the first and best imo

I'll give the MCU this: This is spot-on for Ross Is stubborn, arrogant, has his priorities twisted and jumbled up in the wrong places, and is just the most frustrating human being in the entire freaking universe with a stick up his ass over anything super-related. Any time Ross gets involved in a conflict, he usually ends up making things ten times worse

I love the realism behind the government in the mcu. All the worst things that’s happened is because of the government and the avengers cleaning up their mess especially hydra infiltrating every branch of the world. Yet the government blames the avengers lol

I really hate how marvel focuses on just cap and tony, it doesn't make sense narratively and it's just doing the other characters and their actors dirty. For example in this scene, if it wasn't for marvel focus on steve, actually everyone else accompanying him is the bigger threat for the government: 2 very powerful superpowered beings: Scarlet Witch and Vision, and a lethal spy that can dismantle their governments with ease if she wants to, even the Falcon is a black decorated war hero, he can start revolution if he wants to. But this dialogue made it seem like the government's animosity is solely with Steve, even the actos positions from the camera made the other actors as extras while they play major characters. All that would have been fine if Steve started his dialogue with " WE"

In the comics, it’s obviously different. Bucky had to go through a “redemption arc” of sorts. He teams up with Cap, with Falcon, with Widow (where they start to rekindle their romance), and a few other stories. He also becomes Captain America for a while. He then “atones” by becoming the Man on the Wall after Nick Fury.

I have ZERO respect for Thaddeus Ross. He is a disgrace to the military and the living epitome of “Pride goes before the fall”. He belongs in prison not the people he put there. However, William Hurt did an excellent job of portraying him. He made him perfectly hateable and arrogant to the point of stupidity yet he didn’t make him overly melodramatic. A true testament to his talent. RIP

And the last remaining Avengers on earth brought the rest of you back to earth normal when Avengers Endgame defeated Thanos and killing him. Glad you came back to earth 🌎🌍 . I just watched "Black Widow" on FX for the third time and I still enjoyed it as much as when I saw it the first time Some of the best ones that I saw were the ones that the critics hated the most ! HUH !

All this time I thought he said I'll rest then', implying he will happily put things aside for the sake of saving the world. 'Arrest them' changes everything but makes a lot more sense for the character.

This was a great scene!

All Loki needed was people who genuinely liked and trusted him. That was all he needed to become a hero willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of his friends and the world. Ross, he is worse than Odin.

Actually, I believe the "This is awkward" statement just might be because Cap and Nat have been hooking up. Just as they did in the comics.
