Kanauru is a freaking legend. His videos are hilarious and he's done so much for the holomems behind the scenes. I hope he continues to passionately do what he loves!

Kanaru's strength is dancing and making creative videos. The models he uses are made by other community members and he uses mocap to make it into a video. For the Kiara MV that's her offical model and she mocapped it herself.

The Niji community too, Kanauru was one of the people that helped set up the whole VR world for NijiEN's Obsydia wave. Definitely one of the GOATs.

Haven't we all..

The thing I really love and respect about Kanauru is just how obvious it is that they are in it for the love of the community. Kanauru started out with smaller vtubers. I first remember them when they started making Pikamee animations, unsure if he did stuff before that. And even though he has literally moved to better things he still supports the smaller vtubers that got them here. If he just did nothing but hololive that probably be best for their growth. But instead they make videos on whoever they want. Be it Pikamee, Kiara, Millie, Mumei, etc. It truly feels like they loves all the vtuber he makes content on, and they do it purely to support them.

This dude practically works for Hololive at this point in the basis of his fan work. He did the (great! Do a video on it!) recent video “Do U” by kiara and a number of other official works. He did “Dreamin chu chu” with kiara and Watson as well, another favorite of mine.

He was also the dancer for Dreaming Chu Chu, and he made multiple takes - by having Ame and Kiara use a different take they look very subtly different making it not look robotic. I love that MV.

Kanauru is not only a great animator but they can also drop some sick moves on the dancing arcade games

The quality and the amount of content Kanauru puts out is the work ethic I strive for.

He basically got himself drafted into the Hololive EN production.

That Kronii clip was basically a continuation to a clip from Mumei’s music video which was also animated by Kanauru

Kanauru has actually worked with Hololive for a while on a lot more than just Do U. Last year he did the MV for Myth or Treat, a fun little halloween song from Myth. He did the MV for Dreamin Chuchu by Kiara and Amelia, he did the 3D concerts for Kiara, Sana and Reine. He's done some other little stuff for the EN Girls as well, but those are the main ones that I'm aware of at least.

@@HuchiaZ iirk they do. Kanauru helps with mocap and production, including background dancers and camera work, so they don't have to travel to Japan to do live concerts and use Cover's studio.

A lot of the smaller videos are also from the background of other larger videos they’ve made or music videos they made for the vtubers, like how Kronii’s clip was from the background of Mumei’s Dan Dan MV. They straight up make the background characters behave according to audio we aren’t aware of in the main video we see them in, and to me that’s nuts and awesome. Freaking love Kanauru

Kanauru not only does Hololive also has done works for Nijisanji EN and some other Vtubers. This person is just great!

Surprised you didn't watch the Mumei cover of Dan Dan when it was brought up since it's also made by Kanauru (and it's only 90 seconds, so it's not super long either).

Whenever I hear someone complementing 3d animation; I feel obligated to recommend them to react to Touhou 3D Eternal Night part 0 and part 1 by minusT (part 0 is just the intro so watch them together). MinusT is an incredibly talented animator and deserves more attention. This animation took him 3 years to make.

I think the first Kanaeru video I've seen was the one with Miko and Nenechi greeting each other with the FAQ and I couldn't stop from there. These videos are great because of the mocap suit mixed with the audio clips, something I would love to use for a Hololive fighting game if I had the money.

I think the first Kanauwi clip I ever saw was Korone playing DDR, I think you missed out on spotlighting Oshita bridge. Good vid man. Hope chat loved it as much as you.

i seriously want Hololive to officially hire Kanauru, his animations are so legendary

the kanauru video i saw that was like, the best was the rap contest with vtubers from all over the place, its so dern silly i've never seen the ones where kanauru mixes the irl and vtuber model stuff cause wow they are amazing

kanauru also leaves a lot of little easter eggs in the background. took me a while to find them all in just 1 of these animations

Kanauru did a ton of official videos for hololive. Halloween 2021, Mumei's Don Don cover (which got taken down and censored before reuploading), Kiara's DO U music video, Reine birthday 2022 concert, Sana graduation concert, Kiara birthday live 2022, a whole damn 12 minutes animated short "Smol adventures" for Amelia etc etc.

Bless Kanauru's works, always a joy to watch! I would add BlueKaito to the list of awesome Holo Animations to see!

Their animations are so good, but I get so tripped up watching their stuff cuz they clearly live in my hood and it trips me out seeing some locations.

Kanauru is one of those legends that would be part of Cover's EN Branch HQ. If there ever was one. He's such a core member of the HoloEN crew ever since he joined by Ame's recommendation, I think.

So, who reminds this about StormXF3? I might not know who started all this mix of 2D/3D with reality stuff but I met that channel first. Is known for doing a little movie "My Little Dashie" but the rest of his content is heartwarming, funny or chill videos mixing 2D gen4 ponies with irl scenes (mostly his house I guess).

My favorite of kanauru’s animations is the smol adventures one that’s on Ame’s channel.

Getting the models themselves can be difficult based on If you wanna make them yourself or have connections.... doing the rig tough! That is a brand new chalange in on of itself!

This guy is really talented, but then he must be if he managed to get the chance to do so much official work with Hololive nowadays. If you want to check out another really good animation channel, go and see Sward. The 3D animations there are designed to replicate the old-school stop-motion style of animation, and I think it's done pretty well.
