Yes it is. I saw them in 1977, Ann was 27 and Nancy was 23, on their "Little Queen" tour. Not much difference.

I can’t imagine anyone but Ann Wilson pulling this vocal masterpiece off at the age of 66.

Ann has in my opinion the greatest women 's voice in Rock history. No disrespect to Janice, Pat and Joan but Ann is at another level. Her cover of Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors is absolutely mind blowing

Their sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson..Ann The vocalist is about 65 years old here..Her sister Nancy is about 62..Yes since about the mid 70's they began to hit the Rock scene...And they have a large number of hit songs.."Barracuda","Crazy On You", "Magic Man", "Straight On", "These Dreams" song by her sister Nancy..Among many others..They also have covered a lot of Led Zeppelin songs..There is a Led Zeppelin tribute of Stairway to Heaven that Ann sang back in 2012 at a live event at the Kennedy Center..Its all up here on KZread..I think you'll be greatly impressed..

Ann Wilson is one of my all-time favorite vocalists (male or female). Nancy Wilson is also a great guitar player. Heart is soooooo under-rated by the general-public but they are VERY well respected by fellow musicians. You should hear/watch Ann and Nancy do Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Centre Honors - Led Zeppelin. You'll be blown away at that performance. You can easily tell the members of Led Zeppelin REALLY respect Ann and Nancy Wilson.

The “though” in “I hope it won’t end though” is MY FAV ANN MOMENT! It’s so gentle and delicate ❤

I was there, with two of my oldest and dearest friends. Up in the upper circle to Nancy's right, about half way to the back. And I tell you this for absolutely nothing. That bit in that first chorus, the hook .... that voice goes right through you. And I mean right through you, to your bones. I was sat there with three other musicians and all we could do was look at each other with our chins on our chests. You dont just hear it, you really and I mean REALLY feel it. It didnt have to be loud, it just resonated on a whole other level. You have to experience it to feel it and try and understand it. I've seen some bloody amazing gigs at the Albert Hall, but this was something else. I've never ever felt anything like it. Even though its a world away from the studio version, my god that voice just rips your heart out of your chest. Its one of my dearest and most treasured memories of 40 years of concert going.

Thank you Katie! Missed you. Ann can put more emotion into her voice than anyone else. This song is technically a cover but no one does it better. Grew up in Seattle, not far from bad animals studio. Huge Heart fan..that being said I think the only cover of this song that comes close to the Wilson sisters is Floors cover

As mentioned in other comments, if you think that was good then watch them do Led Zeppelin, let alone more of their own material. Amazing band.

If you’ve not seen their Stairway to Heaven performance at Led Zeppelin’s Kennedy Center Honours, I implore to to check it out. I won’t spoil it but I will say that they managed to bring Robert Plant to tears.

Another band who has their roots in Vancouver is Chilliwack. Check out Bill Henderson of Chilliwack Performs 'Fly at Night' on the Taylor James Show.

As great as this performance is, it's showing a little wear and understandable so at 66 years old. The best live version imo is from the Live In Seattle DVD in 2002. She'll melt your face in that one. "The Note" in that version is flawless. And as was stated, Ann Wilson is the best female vocalist in rock history. Bar none.

(relisten and recomment) We had the music vid of this on a video jukebox where I had lunch in High school. She is better live. This is her in her 60's. Floor Jansencovered this but to me just lacks real emotion in her version.

Ann Wilson was 66 YEARS OLD during this performance!! (As she’s gotten older tho, she’s had to modify a bit because she doesn’t seem able to attack high notes the way she did when younger - No complaints here, just an observation.) To hear her able to still really “BELT OUT” the higher range parts… Heart’s concert footage from Seattle in 2002 is… FANTASTIC.🥰
