I was just talking to my Son about the same exact thing that you just said!! A couple years ago Tom had an interview with officer Tatum and was saying how he isn't a believer in God but basically believes in freedom of choice in the American way of life. And now in this video he speaks of God as if he believes in our Lord Jesus!! The Lord definitely works in mysterious ways that's for sure!! Praise our Lord God !!

I'm with you, I really appreciate Tom a lot. Before Tom, I did not like rap, I had a different perspective on people covered in tats, Tom has opened my mind on these and so many other topics, depression, anxiety, addiction, homelessness, etc. Tom is such a treasure, it's sad when people assume what he's about without putting in the effort to listen to understand vs listen to respond or criticize! 🌼❤️🌼

I only started listening to Tom four months ago because I too hated rap. For one thing, I didn't understand most of it but with Tom, I comprehended his words & they are always on point. His music spans all genres. 🇺🇸🙏🌼 eM

I get what you are are saying, used to listen to some rap when younger, but the new mainstream stuff is crap. When i found Tom, i became a fanboy, and i ain't a fanboy of artists/actors. Before Tom, i could like their work, but care less about anything else about them. I have all of Toms and Novas music

The more I listen to this song, the more I love everything about it.

I compare Tom's artistry to stopping to listen to a song on the radio that you normally wouldn't, just because it is good music. Big big difference he gets into his head to create it, and it's all good. Frickin amazes me every time.

I heard Tom comment about the car. He was walking to work he was late and it was raining, his laces on his work boots was untied. He tripped and fell down, I think in the ditch. When he looked up he was in front of a LAmborghini car dealership. There was a purple Lamborghini in the showroom, he said in his head it was like the Lamborghini was making fun of him. He said right then he was going to work hard and pay one. But when he could buy one or more, he said he he did not have the need for paying one anymore!

The symbolism of the daisy's growing in the video is that the old version of him is dieing (flower growing out of hand) then dies after looking in the mirror. "pushing up daisy's" and now the new version of Tom gets to enjoy the beautiful flowers that surround him.

I understand what you mean about the expectations of others. I'm a 60 year old white guy that catches crap from others for listening to rap. But it's actually the message that I am looking for in a song. I don't listen to a lot of rap, but Tom Macdonald, Dax, and others that are coming out with these incredible messages of hope, and they aren't afraid to show their feelings should be what our children are listening to.

Nova did the filming and editing. Jared did the special effects after she edited the scenes. He added the flowers and the Lambo. Tom is dreaming in the video and in the kitchen, a vine starts to grow out of his neck and ends up coming out of his hand. Tom's dream car when he was young, broke and homeless was a Lambo so that's why he put it in the dream in the video. Now that he can afford one, he says he feels it would be a betrayal of everyone who helped get him where he is if he blew that much money on a ride. Maybe someday he'll stop feeling that way and buy his Lambo. If you'd watched until the end, you'd have seen him wake up on the bathroom floor. BTW, in the BTS, Tom and Nova said they thought him plucking the petals off the flower was funny but no reactors were laughing at it. I was happy to see you laugh at that part.

Never really could get into rap until I found Tom. He's like a brother. I never did drugs or drank alcohol but I have gone through stuff and found my own toxic ways to cope.

I think that Tom, is fanastic, his music hits home, he is about people and that they should be united not divided. Love your reaction, the colour of your or anyone's skin should play no part in how someone sees you or the music you listen to.

Tom is the first artist since Kurtis Walker who, no matter if he raps or growling or just sings, I listen to the lyrics and agree 100% :)

2024 is my year of healing (in many ways). When Tom dropped this I knew God introduced me to him and Nova for a reason. I play this everyday before and after work. I also (out of character) got a tattoo of the word “resilient” on my arm to to remind myself, how far I’ve come, and that, even if hard times, come again, I am able to pick myself back up. It’s hard in today’s world not to compare yourself to others, but I only need to worry about what God thinks.

ROCKERS ENGLAND here. One of my close friend from Russia/Canada sent me his first video. Since then.....I started to appreciate his hard DIY work. Away much better than what punk-rock had failed from the last couples of decade. Also i worked in my past into the music industry touring with big names. His truly & deep touching message in almost all his songs cannot be comparable to any level of music artist i ever encountered so far. Love how you could read his emotions, commitment & passion towards his humbly dedication. Like a mission to awake the majority of ppl who are still hesitate of open their eyes. Tom's voice works with different types of music and isn't afraid to sing the truth. This song sings about addiction and mistakes he's made in life. Nobody is perfect and but others won't allow them forget mistakes they made in life.
