The multipurpose blade DeWalt gives can be used for metal. I cut 0.05” stainless with it. Cuts like butter. Just remember to remove the plastic extractor hood before cutting metal. Make SURE any blade you buy is rated over 20,000 rpm. There are a lot of 3” blades rated at 10,500 or so. Don’t use those. They may explode!

All right people, check this out. I work all day with tools in my hand and this tool was a game changer for me. I was using the DeWALT 20V and corded angle grinders for years cutting different things but when Ryobi came out with this tool first, I bought one and it worked great but the best thing was it was LIGHTWEIGHT. As soon as this one came available from DeWALT I ordered one and tossed the Ryobi in the corner. This thing makes working all day cutting tile a breeze...and yes, as soon as that vac came out I got it as well. I actually keep both tools in the carry bag the vacuum comes in.

It works great for wire shelves. I used it for cutting mine in half so I could stack the washer and dryer where the wire shelf used to be and I used it to clean up wire shelf cuts in the store next to my workshop after my elderly mother cut herself badly in their drink cooler (like, the kind of injury some would sue over). It made quick work of both. I love that the size and control let you bevel edges to avoid leaving sharp cuts.

This saw kzread.infoUgkx84IcU5pbZd1Qrz8u4-YRLmJax7kdRi7B comes in handy in many ways. When I had a small (dead) tree fall I started the process of disposal by using this saw and cutting off the small branches. Then slowly work on the small trunk with undercutting and letting it fall down. With many trees on acres of land paying for a tree service can be expensive. It also is nice in that it can be used in hard to get areas like along my creek. It's also safer and quieter than a chainsaw. It obviously can't cut down massive trees but it does work fine for small ones or brush. And of course since I already own a Black

with the extractor, how would this work in a tile shower demo? usually when demoing existing shower walls over drywall/ durock, i either use a hammer ( actually not a regular hammer but a masons hammer and use the chisel side) and just bang channels thru tile and board along the sides of studs every few feet squared to remove tile and board from wall or i use and angle grinder with a wet sponge to make cuts in wall also every few feet square to remove tile and board. is this too much work for this little cutter? will it cut an inch in depth? and about how many linear foot would it cut before the extractor would need to be cleaned? thanks

I found a solution online. It's not a great solution, but it does work. If you remove the bristles from the round brush that comes with the vacuum (they are attached to a ring that just pulls or twists out), the remaining body of the brush just fits on the dust port of the cut off tool. Not the most secure attachment, but it does work.

Great review - thanks. Just bought mine and used it for the first time. Used it to remove some cracked mortar between bricks. This resulted in the tool being covered in dust (didn't use dust cover or vacuum). Will the dust harm the tool?

It’d take a bit of work. The hinge pin as well as a bit of the front part of the shoe protrude just a tiny amount so you won’t get an edge exactly parallel to the blade. I’d love to get these issues fixed so I can run a woodworking blade on this and use with straightedges, etc. This can be quite a versatile little saw.

Sigma and Montolit do a tile track saw range that you attach a grinder to. Also comes with a scorer wheel for the track.

They say its about the weight. However i dont find my 1100W 4 1/2" corded grinder heavy at all. What i reslly found interesting and i am seriously thinking about it its the Worx Maker X angle grinder which is really really small. Yet i am worry about its capacity even with delicate situations. But man.. That is really tiny!
