    My # 1 pattern is the underspin . I pull on Kentucky Lake. Your knowledge and experience and explanation of situations reminds me of my Father-in-law , he would be 125 years young if around today. I’m sure he’s fishing right now telling me… you don’t catch any fish running around spot to spot, keep your line one the water and bump the trolling motor now and then. ❤

    Only move if no bites after 4 casts. Different retrieves and pauses each cast. There is no reason to fish a dead spot.

    Richard, is this a new boat you are using in this video or one you have had for awhile? I want to thank you for your videos. I've spent years fishing for bass, but baits just got to expensive for me. Crappie fishing is new to me and more affordable.     Have you ever fished a tail spin crappie jigs ? I picked one up yesterday and took it apart so I could copy it. 1/16 oz. With Chenille to the end of the hook and a swivel attached to a wire tied up to the head. Got to order the wire. Got the split ring and blade on just waiting for the wire to come from Barlows.

    Good fishing, but I just wondered as you were discussing the lime and pearl body bait, did you notice the 2 fish that came up in front of the boat house? One jumped just in front and the other swirled about 20 feet out. Keep up the good work.

    I like those under spins. The head design is made to deflect water down towards the spinner so it will spin at slow retrieves. What do you think about that?

    Probably fine if you have baitfish in your water that have gold in them and vice versa. You want to mimic what the fish are feeding on

    Richard Gene! Is there a simple trick on how to keep your bait at a certain depth? For instance, counting to 4 or 5 after the cast to keep your bait at 4 or 5 feet?
