This iPhone 6 running iOS 8 has 10% Battery health...

The worst I've ever seen, even AirPods have a higher battery capacity than this iPhone. Anyway, this model is running iOS 8.3 which is a pretty neat to see!

I had the iPhone 6 Plus around 2014 and kept it for 6 years while everyone around me were plucking about $1000 for the newer phones each year. Finally went to the 12 afterward. Not too big of a difference. Still have my 6 plus and boot it up a few times a year to relive the memories.

When I was 10, I always wanted this phone. It seemed so beautiful and classsy and expensive. The design is pretty much mid-2010s ( I would argue the 6s is more because of the rose gold, which was everywhere). But at that time I felt that it was the peak.

I had a as n iPhone 6 (unsure what software version), and when they were offering free battery replacements I went in to get mine done. At the time it would barely last 5-10 minutes unplugged, not even long enough to actually open an app. When I took it in the person who attended to me said it had 47% battery health and that was one of the lowest battery health figures they’d seen. They told me if it drops below 70 it’s basically gone and shouldn’t even still be running. So if this one is at 10% health it’s amazing it even stayed on long enough to get into Settings.

i miss this phone sm. take me back 😔
I got my first iPhone which was the iPhone 6 when i was 11 years old, so around 2017/2018. This bring me back. I went into year 7 (in school) with this phone.
The 6 Plus was probably the best iPhone I have ever owned. No issues, ran flawlessly. I was absolutely psyched for that phone...going from a old small 5 to the massive 6 Plus. I used to have the phone for 2 years, then upgrade..this one I kept another year. I probably would have kept it for a 4th year, but the iPhone X was too tempting back then. What I miss so much about the 6 Plus is being able to navigate the home screen, all the icons, etc in landscape mode! Wish they would bring that back to the newer full screen iPhones again.
Yellowing is a common issue with old LCDs as they age and I even had it on my four and a half year old third generation IPad Air at the time I replaced it with an M2 11 inch IPad Pro in December last year! My mom also had yellowing on her IPhone 6 screen at the time she replaced it with an IPhone 13 in early 2023! :)

I remember i was gifted an iPhone 6 when I was younger and put it in an otterbox defender and played Roblox non stop. I played while connected to the outlet and got my battery all the way down to 14% heath according to the Genius Bar person. They also told me the phone got to 347^F at one point which was also why my WiFi antenna was not working well. one killer feature they had in IOS 8 that i wish they had kept was the recent contacts in multitasking, they removed it in IOS9 and never fetched it back. shame really i used it all the time.
Ios 8.3 is so beautiful
Issue is with battery degradation for Iphones is not many people realise built in features will reduce it rather significantly and at a fast pace, e.g location services on, background refresh on, bluetooth on, light mode on with high brightness, not having standby mode on... as well as general things like having the phone kept in warm/hot places or actively using whilst on charge
It's incredible, I like the iPhone 6 with iOS 8. I have around 10 of them and most of them don't go beyond 30 charge cycles and they all have a battery capacity between 95 and 100%.

I used to have an iPhone 6 Plus, and I wanted to keep it until the iPhone X came out but in April of 2017, my second replacement iPhone 6 Plus (took my original into the store a couple months prior because it had an issue ) had some touch issues with the screen which long story short I came out with an iPhone 7 Plus that I had planned to trade in later that year, yet ended up keeping it until I got the 11 Pro Max in late 2019 (which is still my current phone).
Helvetica was one heck of a font. I hated it when they switched to San Francisco with iOS9.
The stickers is for tracking and if it gets sent back they scan it and they’ll tell them about it and get put back in stock
I had a 6s in 2018 for maybe a year before I had to get a new phone as it had a defective battery that got to the point that it would last maybe 3 hours before dying, and that was with all of the power saving methods in place. It was a nice phone too so having to replace it so soon really sucked.
iPhone 6 6+ and 6S+ had the best design ever. I love the look of it.

I bought the iPhone 6 when it was released. I used it for 4 years and had 2 battery replacements. I still have it on iOS 12. I wish I would have bought the 6S.
this makes me want to restore both of my childhood iPhone 6 one is on my room and tghe other one is lost somewhere in grannys crib or thats what i think, if that phone happens to be completely lost ill just get the very same model and another one on ios 8, but honestly it makes me so mad cuz that other iPhone 6 was not only mine but my moms before i got it, and it had many important files also it was the top end 128GB one, i was so happy i got that one cuz my other 16GB model was so full of games i couldnt even do anything

I still have my iPhone 6 Plus and it’s still running iOS 8. I haven’t updated it at all since I upgraded to the iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2023
I always wanted one, but now that i got a 5S on iOS 7.1.2 (32 gig btw) i wonder if the 6 is any faster. +20% in raw performance but -20% in optimization… in the end they should perform similarly but the 5S is much more portable and is easier to carry around (to use as music player and for classic games such as real racing 3 or infinity blade iii).
The music icon actually changed to white with the release of iOS 8.4 and apple music
Later versions of iOS 8 can have the white Apple Music app icon as well, it was released a couple months before iOS 9
